  1. The servers are still up, the government just hijacked the domain names. Which they shouldn't be allowed to do.

[spoiler=My results] You are 30.6% Good. You are 10.3% Chaotic. Alignment: Neutral Good You do the best good that a person could be expected to do. You are devoted to helping others. You are willing to work with authority figures, but you do not feel any particular allegiance to them. You are the stereotypical “Benefactor.” You believe in doing good without any particular bias for or against order. Examples of charactersand people who fit into the same alignment as you include Mother Theresa, Ghandi, Gandalf, Indiana Jones, O-Bi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Harry Potter, Frodo Baggins, and the Dalai Lama. Description of alignments are adapted from the Revised (v3.5) System Reference Document, and are presented in accordance with the Open Gaming License v1.0a. Eh, it's alright
  3. Wasnt on the server I was on last night. my god, and they wondered why we lost? 10 people: 6 Engis, 3 Spies and a Pyro (me) You had a pyro on your team. There's your problem. Yeah, note the pyro, and not the utter lack of medics or actual classes that pose a threat. And good pyros can be a menace if played right, mainly those that utilize the airblast. Oh please, don't give me the pyro speech. Pyros are almost useless assuming the other team aren't total idiots. The range they can fight at makes them one of the easiest classes in the game to kill. They aren't completely terrible though. They make a good support class moreso than an actual offensive class. They can airblast away stickies, rockets, charging tards, ubers, and more. They also can remove sappers in a pinch, although giving up the axtinguisher is a relatively tough thing to do. They're not bad, just not as good as the other classes in some regards. Or I can make a slighty more convincing argument in the form of two dudes I usually play with. http://steamcommunity.com/id/CaffeinePowered http://steamcommunity.com/id/backfire21 Add those two and play with them for some time, then tell me that pyros are completely useless. The skill level of the people on the server they run is a lot higher than most I play on anyways.
  4. And omni, I wasn't around all day yesterday. I'm gonna be doing a few things around the house today, so don't expect any immediate response.
  5. http://www.carloslabs.com/projects/200712B/GroundZero.html Have fun simulating nuclear attacks.
  6. There also is Gyarados with Bounce, which I have seen quite a few of lately. That being said, I've recently fallen in love with Kingdra. That thing is utterly brutal if it can get a turn to set up with a Rain Dance or Dragon Dance. It also pairs up great with Scizor, who can lure in things that Kingdra can smash apart, like Heatran and Gliscor. Scizor also enjoys the rain to halve his fire weakness.
  7. I've never understood the reasoning behind this. While it's true they get a very small percentage of album sales, how is it better to deprive them of that? You could support them by going to concerts, but another argument that pirates often use is that they pirate because they can't afford to buy the music; Concerts are a hell of a lot more expensive. Last year, tickets for AC/DC went for $80. Tickets for Iron Maiden a month or two back were about the same. Not necessarily good tickets, seating on the grass far from the stage. Tickets for Dream Theater a few years back were upwards of $200 for a closer seat, if I remember correctly.. Merchandise can get pretty expensive too, with $35 shirts. Not something that someone can afford if they can't afford the $15 CD. Concerts for less popular/established bands aren't going to be that expensive, of course. Depending on how big the band is, though, they may not travel very far from home, so that more or less shuts out fans that don't live in their area. And I'd think that the less the ticket costs, the smaller the band's cut at the end of it all as well. Of course, I really have no links to back any of this up, so feel free to disregard it  Eh, I never said to deprive them of the money they make from albums. Just that they won't get quite as much from albums. And I'm totally going to put a placebo vote in place for the pirate party.
  8. If by awesome you mean a type riddled with weaknesses, sure :D Fire/Psychic has the following weaks: Water/Ground/Rock/Ghost/Dark And the following resists: Fire/Grass/Fighting I'll analyze it futher, but 5 weaknesses kinda hurts it badly.
  9. Omnitec, get in contact with me asap.
  10. MGS(Metal Gear... Spy?!) Fortress Megami Tensei: Persona Fortress 2 Fortcraft:
  11. I'm surprised that garbage sells to be honest. One man's trash is another man's treasure I suppose.
  12. Surfin' USA - Blind Guardian. I lol'd when I heard this song.

Just finished registering for my college courses. Take a wild guess what major I'm going for.
  14. If I beat you, its a 3 way tie between me you and zaaps I look forward to our battle. Actually, I did the math. There's almost no way in hell you can catch up. The max points you could get is 19, assuming you win all matches from here on out. I'm guaranteed 20 if I at least participate in my matches. Did you get a bye yet? Actually, nope. So the chance still exists.
  15. I still want to raise a small point despite all that Blue posted: Would these pirates have even bought these games, music, etc. otherwise? There's nothing to prove that they had any intention of buying a product in the first place, which means in some regards it was never a lost sale in the first place. And to append the "pc piracy" statement, I do want to raise another point, that the USA has probably one of the lowest piracy rates in comparison to just about any other country (Statistics are from 2007, but I haven't seen any major changes since then) http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_sof_pir_rat-crime-software-piracy-rate There's one thing that you can safely assume from the countries with the higher piracy rates: Most of them are poorer countries with a lower standard of living, making games, software, etc. much more difficult to purchase simply because of the pricing in most cases. Cheaper bootlegs are not uncommon in those countries. I agree with this mostly, although there is something that I don't necessarily agree with, especially when this statement is applied to the music industry. 'greedy record companies or publishers'? I couldn't agree more, even if it isn't quite cut-and-dry as you put it. http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20100712/23482610186.shtml The average musician making $23.40 per $1000 in album sales? It's kinda jarring. If you really want to support a musician, go to their concerts, buy their merchandise, as they earn a lot more through that than they would albums.

  17. I won my match. GG dude.
  18. Buzz, go ahead and PM me when you're ready for our match. I might be winning this tournament. If we hit Round 11 and I win all matches up to that point, there'll be no way to bypass my current point standing.

I bought a knife today and had some damn good steakburgers and milkshakes for lunch.
  22. I'm boggled that they even allowed it. How can you expect people to not post inappropriate things in a thread about [bleep]? I am too. It's one of the things that I think makes TIF close certain topics pretty quickly nowadays. None of the us want a re-creation of that sexual fantasy-[bleep]-fest Can someone explain what the "Ever Caught them?" Thread is about? oh my god, did i seriously made that thread? edit:yup, it was me, dang  It originated as a thread, started by our very own Necromagus, seeing if anyone "ever caught them" masturbating or something. It got out of hand very quickly, and ended with the massive forum crash.
