Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
You'd rather someone get a sex change than just be gay?

Taxes, taxes, taxes...
Good point Dusqi. A great example would be Hannah Montana and teachers. Teachers, in the US, get paid a horrible wage for a job that is quite tiresome and essential to society. Now compare that to Hannah's "career".

Is the quality of food declining?
Taste is objective? Of course. We won't be able to prove anything. However, the more people that report to have seen this pattern, the more it points to the hypothesis being correct. And science deals with mental observations that have nothing to do with mathematics all the time. It's nothing new. Yes, that is true. Back then when I thought food was better, there have been days where the food just didn't taste right. However, I've been having those days much much much more often and so have others, so I think it's fair to call it a pattern instead of a coincidence. Yes, and I can't "snap into a SlimJim" anymore. They have a weird beef jerky-like texture now and are harder to bite. It isn't just a change of my taste buds. Not to mention people who are different ages than me agree with this, so if it is true, it's a major coincidence that our taste buds are altering at the same exact time despite our age differences. If the ingredient composition are claimed to be exactly the same, even though numerous consumers claim they taste much different than they used to, then either the ingredients are lying or the consumers are.

Is the quality of food declining?
I agree. Homemade tacos have always been much tastier. But my point is that the quality, although it is not that good to begin with, has been declining to something even worse. What's so wrong about making this observation? If anything, I'd say using Taco Bell as an example makes the point stronger. Taco Bell is low quality. Well, when it becomes even lower in quality than it already is, doesn't that say something? It's better than using gourmet lobster as an example, as the better the quality, the more potential it has to decline.

And why is that? I used to love Taco Bell. Just because you never did doesn't mean I can't use it as an example.

Is the quality of food declining?
Keyword: declining It's right in the title. And I'm not really complaining about it, just moreso wondering if anyone else is seeing this declining pattern my friends and I think we're seeing.

Is the quality of food declining?
I wish I had that luxury. I only eat whatever is cheap. You can eat like a king cooking and preparing your own food that's much more healthy for you rather than spending craptons of money (a day's worth of food costs less than the average fast food combo) on greasetraps. I can buy two Whopper Juniors for two bucks and be full. What healthy foods can I buy for two bucks that fill me up as much as those whoppers? Something besides rice and noodles. PS: I'm not really trying to argue here. I hope you are right that I can eat food that taste just as good, is cheaper, is filling, and healthier, but from what I've seen at grocery stores and the likes, eating healthy is expensive, at least where I live.

Is the quality of food declining?
Maybe we're just being paranoid, but my friends and I think we've been noticing this. Slim Jims have a chewier texture. Doritos have less flavoring on them. Hotpockets taste horrible. Taco Bell tacos are disgusting now. Even plain white bread has a different taste (or lack of one) to it. Has anyone else noticed a pattern? Are companies putting less love into their food to combat the recession? What's going on?!

Taxes, taxes, taxes...
I agree with Reb. I lean more on the communist side myself, but I have a question. If you tax the rich way too much, doesn't that make people lose incentive on wanting to become rich in the first place? If so, the whole idea seems kind of counterproductive if this means there will be less rich people to pay taxes.

Jagex, thanks for letting me down
Where did you get those statistics? The majority of people are not Jagex fanboys. You assumed that I was one right off the bat, so I had to clarify that I wasn't. That says a little something about your argument that most users are fanboys. You just assume they are. As for legit rants, I don't think that the majority of rants on this forum are legit, but that's a different can of worms. I'm talking about the militant Anti-Jagex mentality in general, not just limited to rants. That is what this thread is about. The fanboys you're speaking about are merely a symptom of the Anti-Jagex mentality. There has been an era where the fanboys you speak of were outnumbered by the Jagex haters. But I agree that it is a much more prevalent attitude than it was a few years ago. I guess more people are just catching on. So making your username on a fansite something along the lines of, "Jagex sucks" is not overboard? It's a completely reasonable thing to do? :? And what does "logic and reasoning" constitute as? Complaining that you'd rather have your PKing at the cost of ruining the game instead of having a game at all? I don't see what's so logical about that. Now you're calling me an average TIFer. Tsk tsk. :shame:

Online gaming addiction discussion/debate
The reason I play games at all are to accomplish a goal. Some people say that this is wrong and that I should be playing for fun. Accomplishing goals is what's fun for me though. I have nothing wrong with people who ignore goals and just play for the moment, but I prefer a sense of accomplishment.

Jagex, thanks for letting me down
3hit, I'm talking about the people who have anti-Jagex crap in their sigs, makes up conspiracies, makes their freaking username something that's anti-Jagex - those kinds of people. The people who make a religion out of hating a gaming company. I'm not talking about an average person that just feels like making a legit rant. So um, yeah, who has their head up their arse now? :shame: Why do you try so hard to convince yourself that anyone who defends Jagex at all automatically must think that they're some infallible gods with rainbow gas emitting from their pores? You see the hypocrisy here? I never claimed to even like Jagex. I'm pretty much middle-ground when it comes to liking or disliking them. But from what I see here on these forums, people have been known to go way overboard about publicizing how much they detest a gaming company, on a fansite. I don't have to like Jagex in order to point out how ridiculous that is, so you can quit attempting to insult me in a creative manner. On second thought, it's quite entertaining. Tell me, do I also feed Jagex grapes and give them back massages while simultaneously fanning them with a leaf?

Your views on file sharing and piracy
Okay, you don't care about us thinking you're cool. That's nice, but not what I was getting at. You said you'd steal our stuff if we ever came across you and that you have a wall of friends. I don't know, but to me that's just screaming, "Hate me! Hate me! I feed off your hate and convert it into pure energy!". Which is why I asked what motivated you to do that. Oh and there is a difference between stealing from those jocks you hate and stealing from any random person, such as a TIFer. If they did deserve it, fine. It still might be bad, but not nearly as bad as stealing from someone who's done nothing wrong to you - at least in my opinion since I'm a fan of eye for an eye. Bull-[cabbage]. If one of the detectors go off, the people standing at the front will automatically treat you like you are a criminal. They aren't exactly that hard to get around you know.... You guys act like TIFers all use the same Walmart. ...or do we? I saw a large group of rednecks trying to be a gang last time I went. Any similar experiences?
-
The End of the World. What would you do?
Yeah really. You guys better just be attempting to be funny. This is the one and only time that unbearably unfunny jokes are welcome.

Jagex, thanks for letting me down
It's true. Jagex sucks. I only ask of one trifling thing from this atrocious company. I'm not asking for much at all. I've been yearning a crappy update from Jagex for the longest time now - I want them to give me an update that's worth ranting about, in RSOF that is. In other words, I want the ability to rant on their forum that they created specifically for ranting. But never do I get this. Every day I wake up and go to the update page. I always leave with a disappointed grimace on my face. None of the updates are ever worth ranting about. It's like Jagex purposely gives players what they don't want! Why do you guys think Jagex is so opposed to pleasing their players? Unfortunately, I still gotta have this in here since not everyone knows me and they might not catch the sarcasm. Yeah, so my proposition here is that it isn't Jagex that sucks for not making you people happy - it's you for requiring them to fulfill every last one of your ridiculously unreasonable demands. No matter what, you can always turn Jagex into the bad guy because it's impossible for an update to make every single person happy. And even if there's nothing to complain about, that won't stop people from complaining anyway (as this thread shows). So lay off the Anti-Jagex crap, irrational noobs.
