  1. type 2 is genetic. type 1 is a lot of crap. there is some genetic parts to it but there's also enviromental factors and a bunch of other stuff. I know 'cause I've had type 1 for about 6 years now, on the insulin pump for four. My cousin was recently diagnosed as well, two years ago, she's on the pump now too. So if you have questions about it I can probably answer them. also: http://www.jdrf.org is a really good site, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation website. Although it's mostly type 1 research.
  2. Traditional Signature? Like a Pixel? Or what? 'Cause I might do it if you give more detail.
  3. Or even use a system like the Falador Library; registered users can see it but can't post unless they PM the mod... could say the mod uses IP addresses or such to verify country. Or add a new forum, with subforums for the different countries/areas.
  4. Hmm... Sounds a lot like Obama's health care plan...
  5. Is the lipstick on a pig comment used by McCain on youtube? I'd like to see it. Yeah here it is. HE WAS REFERRING TO OBAMA'S USE OF IT EARLIER; WASN'T INSULTING BIDEN/OBAMA OR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AS OBAMA WAS. HE WAS REFERRING TO OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE SOLUTION. Also: I seriously thought of Osama bin Laden first time I saw their campaign logo.
  6. Yeah this is pretty good. I support.
  7. Could you explain more about your views? Sure. First a bit about myself. I am in the middle class, and have a cronic disease, Type 1 Diabetes. So I am automatically against anything that involves more taxes on the middle class (to give to lower class- THIS IS CALLED SOCIALISM AND AMERICA IS A DEMOCRACY.) and any sort of universal health care system. This is due to (see Britian as an example) people in other countries with universal health care and my condition get much worse care. There are waiting lists of people for insulin pumps, whereas here in the US if your insurance will cover it (most will, and Medicare/Medicade will as well) you can get it much sooner than if you lived in those countries. Also a universal health care system is once again leaning toward socialism... There are only a few things I disagree with McCain/Palin on and a lot of things I disagree with Obama on. Also I have become more against his campaign and supporters since the hacking of Palin's e-mail and the 'lipstick on a pig' comment. I happen to be a girl who plays hockey. My mom stated after that comment was made (and Obama said something else about the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull is lipstick) that in her case there is no difference as she is very angry at the Obama camp for saying that... So yeah my parents are a big influence but at least they're not feeding me lies.
  8. Personally I would vote for McCain because he's not Obama and now he's got Palin who's pretty much full of win. :D I can't vote though, only 14 now... Gotta wait 'til next time.
  9. That's cause americans don't let you bring anything fun to school (no knives, guns, explosives...)... Yeah I live in the US. Buying crap out of those little machines that you stick quarters in... Paying small children who think four nickels is worth more than a quarter... I think that's prolly the best.

This is such a random topic... i was going to add something of note but I forgot it now... :twss:
  11. This will be continued as parts are typed. Setting is Post-Nearly-Apocolyptic-World-Disasters United States in about 2080. (Link to Character Sheet for James Kanon) *** James walks silently along the deserted street, illuminated every few feet by street lamps. As he passes under them, he can be seen as in his early twenties, with slightly shaggy black hair but a clean-shaven face. He seems to be one you wouldnt want around your kids. He wears a black zip-up hoodie over a green T-shirt emblazoned with a dragon, and baggy black jeans. He finally ducks into a decrepit, graphitized building. Inside it wasnt lit much better than outside. He nods to a man behind the desk, probably checking his e-mail on the state-of-the-art laptop sitting in front of him. James walks through to a second desk, once again nodding to the woman at the desk. He ascends the staircase and steps into another office. James. Yes, Alexander? I have the information. The agreement was an object, actually two if I remember correctly, I cant get them! You knew that when you gave the objective! The police would have been on my tail for years! That was the agreement. Fine. One half the payment and you dont ask for more information or help. Nein. One quarter now, one quarter on delivery. Very well. The cash? Alexander asks as James pulls out a wad of cash, handing a few dozen Benjamins to him. You should find these up to your standards, Yes Alexander pulls a small folder from a desk drawer. This is all of it. I kept nothing on the computer, it cannot be traced to me. James accepts the folder, and inspects the contents. Then, satisfied, he hands Alexander the rest of the roll. Surely this is too much? Perhaps. Consider it compensation for the past, present, and future, Ah. I will be seeing you then. Yes. Goodbye. James heads down the stairs and promptly exits the building. He walks home to his apartment and opens the file to examine its contents more closely. Included is a holodisk, which he inspects for any sign of damage or corruption, then pops it into his prototype XG Hand Held 3.1. All it contained was a file on the subjects and Whats this? he thought opening the strange file. It showed a GPS location, two actually. James couldnt believe his luck. YES! he filed through the rest before locking the file up in a cabinet. He dug a bag out from under a pile of books and papers, pulled out another smaller bag, and stuck the handheld in it.
  12. Glad you like it! If I have time hopefully I can get the larger size done for you as well.
  13. Dragon miniatures/figures/models, have about 15-20. Also medieval themed figures/minis/models, about 15 of those. Care Bears, about 20? LEGOS a heck of a lot, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Shonen Jumps, Hikaru No Go! manga, LEGO Bionicle comics (have all but 2), glow in the dark stuff, erm... hockey related stuff, have a Stanley Cup (Red Wings from 2001) bobblehead, puck signed by Travis Richards, goalie stick signed by Marty Turco, Griffins jersey with my name on it, roller hockey goalie helmet... Books.
  14. This sounds awesome, stupid people won't be able to abuse it and other fun stuff. Perhaps as an additional part of the new Tut Island, you need to take a quest similar to the Stronghold of Security telling you exactly what is and isn't against the rules, instead of Brother whatshisname just saying you should use your best judgement.
  15. Support here, would be pretty neat.

I've picked a few of my recent sigs/avvys/stuff that I think is good... I've been getting better... So please take a look and C/c if you like. Sigs: *** Avvys: *** Other Stuff:
  17. Support!!! From the message center or in the game would be great if you could send letters to each other, heck maybe even presents (under the stupid limit though) or you could lend stuff through the mail...
  18. yeah, I support, simple but needed idea.
  19. YES! Many people call me a noob for only having combat 50, but you know what? I've got a yo-yo, rubber chicken, the Xmas hats and scarfs, so I've been playing at least 4 (?) years. This would be cool because like others said I want to know how long I've been playing. I think putting it on gravestones and at the login screen would be best.
  20. Not bad, but the gradient (for lack of a better term) shows a lot, if you saved it as a GIF, you should have dithered before you saved as an indexed GIF. Not sure how to do this in PS as I have GIMP. Also link to Text tut plz?
  21. Red Wings all the way again. Hopefully (Jimmy) Howard will get to play more... Yeah he's a Griffin but he signed with them last year. Although that would mean somebody's hurt...
  22. Good, just remember, you wear chainmail under platemail.
  23. I enjoy most of all D&D minatures. I collect them and they rock. I also like the Reaper line of minis, I use them for my D&D stuff. I have a ton of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and I like to play Magic the Gathering as well.
  24. I have a collection of medieval themed weapons made out of PVC pipe and a goalie stick signed by Marty Turco... although the goalie stick isn't really 'questionable'... erm... a lot of insulin, lol, like five vials of it... and a box of thin mints in the freezer I've not eaten yet, they've been there since last fall I think.
  25. sirdanile: [hide=Wallpaper] [img=http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs36/f/2008/262/a/c/Wallpaper_for_Sirdanile_by_hawkxs.jpg][/hide] Be expecting the larger one sometime... but not really soon, perhaps in a week or so.
