Back OT: this is a better loot system than WoW, which allows ninja looting (I will kill anyone who EVER does this is 20+ man raids... :evil: ). Coinshare is VERY good in boss battles when you get "high" level drops (how a d med is high level, I'll never know :roll: .) Before coinshare the number of drops balanced out, but not necessarily the profit. Now, it's relatively balanced. Edit: oh, you're talking about normal drops #-o Pretty much every mmorpg has the same pattern. Just be glad that there are some areas of rs where it's single-combat. WoW is completely multi-combat.

1) not a good idea; that punishes the people who do play with at least 2 combat styles (like me #-o ). A better solution would limit the catalytic runes to 100. Why? Well, catalytic runes work like combo runes. Let's say you cast Blood barrage in FoG. Blood Barrage, if I'm not mistaken, requires 4 death runes, 4 blood runes, and 1 soul rune. With this spell you would only use 4 catalytic runes. I observed about a month ago while casting ice burst that I only used 4 catalytic runes. Maybe they've updated it, but maybe not. But 25 blood barrages (or 100 fire waves) should be enough to kill your opponent if you're playing right. 2) people who are not like you and me and many other people on this thread would abuse this for free tokens. 3)there is a level balance with the skill nerfing, but it could better since we would all wear different degrees of class armor.

At this point you could do one (or two) of two things: 1) fight fire with fire, but set fire to the forest (this forum) instead of the bush (the ge) and get caught by mods. 2) report and ignore it. As for actually contributing to the thread topic, I don't really know what to say other than just be patient. I've found that sometimes, really good people are more inclined to recruit you if you have full penance or at least the helm, torso, and skirt. It's some sort of "uniform" I guess.

Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't you stating that low levels always lose or mostly lose. That is not true my lvl 48 pure wins all the time against high lvls and members. 15 wins is my record and is still ongoing. If you're not winning change your stragedy. You also said it takes longer to get the tokens than use them, again that is not true. You are obviously aren't doing a good stragedy... A good portion of your reward tokens are based not only on the charges, but also on your total lvl. So, a lvl 58 with 1900 total lvl from skilling will get more tokens than even a lvl 138 with 1200 total lvl.

What the hell?! Like you suddenly come out and say "Hm, maybe mystic armour gives you an invisible magic level boost." Yeah, right... And Black D'hide has an invisible ranged boost and rune armour has an invisible strength one.... :roll: Void mage doesn't have an invisible magic level bonus, it has an magic attack bonus. What defines 'Attack' is the bonus in the Equipment Stat screen. 'Nuff said. I mean invisible in the sense that prayer doesn't visibly increase your attack by 15% and allow you to wear better weapons. Mystic might will obviously increase your magic accuracy, but it doesn't let you cast better spells. I didn't mean invisible attack stats; I was talking about a level boost. I distinctly remember that the manual before the site update said "+10% attack and strength, +10% range, +30% mage level attack". But since the only way to prove that without a Jagex mod, I guess that sentence was a waste of space #-o . We could always ask Jagex for the exact bonuses to which part of the accuracy (base level, equipment, or even both), but everyone knows that they are being hypocritical with an "automated" customer service response :lol: :lol: :lol: . Anyway, assuming that it does only affect equipment bonuses, are the bonuses actually worth is in pvp since the defense are obviously lower? edit: new theory, maybe the "invisible equipment bonus" is equal to 10% of your attack level, 10% of range lvl, and 30% of your magic lvl? If we actually had the numbers and not just experiments, we could easily say if Void is better or worse than some armor or maybe all of it with the proper lvls. and the manual doesn't say specifically "equipment attack", so it's not 'nuff said. Alright, so now that we've come to terms about what the bonuses do and do not affect, is trading 200+ defense and 2-3 damage points really worth +10-12 attack in melee? And since you would only give more or less +8 ranged attack, is that worth the drop of 20 in defense? (Even with +2-3 damage with no d bow spec ;) ). Still, there's something to think about: mystic might increases your magic lvl with an invisible boost, maybe void mage does the same? And some people on this thread have reported having been more accurate with void range than blk dhide. Obviously, there's something we're both missing in this discussion of what defines "attack" in the skills :-k

@ Locutus: Instead of trying to pluck the bonuses from our memories, I just opened the manual and found the quote \ : You can't just apply the bonus to the attack bonuses either; you also need to work in your base level of the appropriate style. So, you're putting your magic lvl, magic attack, prayer, AND void mage together to get your magic attack. The accuracy formula is one of the few that elude me, so I couldn't tell you by numbers what the void mage accuracy bonus is exactly at each lvl (but I'm guessing it's most likely a parabola, as opposed to Ahrim's which is most likely linear.)

So, to minimize the actual people who are noobish and really stupid repliers, just type out your rant on Word Processor and then delete it. You vent anger and no one has to see it. For things like ranting about the wilderness, they're not coming back, so no point in "ranting" on the forums about it.

Use of salve(e) is quite limited it should not be presented as a argument at all. For sure Black masks and Salve overpower void knight melee, you can't use it for every single monster. Many people wear void knight melee for the accuracy it gives (normal armour does not provide any) which can make quite a difference even its just "10%", and when they are barely taking any damage at all or magic damage. It is not very tactical to mage WITHOUT a safespot, so if you do use a safespot, maging with 0 or 322 def makes no difference. I have no knowledge about the increase of magic accuracy, so I wouldn't talk about that. Ah yes, the misleading 10%, yet not true. At a base hit of 14 normally, I could hit 17 with void, that's at least 25% increase. The main range bonus comes from the weapon, which is why people still can range effective in tank, even full torags. Also, it has been proven time and again that void range exceeds armadyl in terms of exp/hr for some training methods (even chinning). Comparison of stats between both is insignificant since the difference is only single digit bonuses. In PvM defence is not important since you will be safespot ranging. 1) I'm including the salve(e) in both damages. Multiply both damages by .8 to get "general" max hits. 2) in pvp it's virtually impossible to to get a safe spot because of rangers. Then again, because void armor actually gives mage att AND range def *cough*ahrimsnorangedef*cough*, it might be more useful in these situations. 3) I believe I made a mistake in the formula of damage. Unlike melee with is +10% max hit (28 to 30), the range bonus is just +10% of your base ranged lvl. So, if you have 85 range, you are ranging with 93, which might increase your max hit by +3 ;) . Still not good at lower lvls though.

You are forgetting that not only does void armor include a helm (so you really do have to include the coif in comparison.), but basically no one uses blk dhide vamps (except in Bh obviously). They use barrows gloves and a melee helm (d med or neitiznot helm). The defenses go +100 on all melee defenses with these slots. The n helm gives no -mage defense and barrows give +6. Dhide body and chaps + b gloves and n helm > void armor. And even excluding barrows gloves, the melee defense is still much greater. And yes, adding +8 damage is very nice : In a death match you would probably be dead because of the armor's lack of defense. And it would be better to just bring the mage helm and a whip + def to mage/melee instead of both mage and melee helm. Same thing with a range/mage hybrid. But the convenience does have its situations (like FoG and castle wars if they allowed helms.)

I wouldn't call playing Pest control "busting their butts". It's more like "get 40 damage, wait. Call a guy with a Granite Maul a noob. Cash in and get 500k exp" And it's definetly not something to show off. Showing off that you play pest control is just sad. They played an exceptionally easy game to get exceptionally easy combat levels. Yay? There's some irony in the exp rates: I got more str and att exp by killing stuff than redeeming pc points for prayer exp. ~600k exp in attack and str combined. Before the pc update, the game was rather easy, too easy. Now, it's actually quite strategic. Don't believe me? Play Warcraft and try to hold off 3 fronts on the same position by just bashing in skulls. Trivia: the exp rate for prayer per point at lvl 99 is 288, the same as dragon bones at the ectofunctus! And it's a minimum of 50 damage. And for every person who just waits, the chances of survival drop about 15%, so you'll get flamed for doing nothing and you'll lose fairly much. I can't believe I'm defending pest control since I hate it so much :wall: :wall: :wall:
