You might as well get a defender. The defender beats both the guthix, and saradomin in all stats. It also almost beats all of zamorak stats, but.....No range or magic bonuses. The only purpose of getting a book would be zamorak ,if you don't have a defender, would be for range or magic. I suggest just getting a rune defender. The zamorak pages are so hard to get, and i mean a month to half a year, even at the forums, people clammer and offer outrageous offers for them. Rune def stats: +20 stab +19 slash +18 crush -3 magic -2 range This applies for both attack and defense values. Zamorak is maging/ranging book, saradomin and guthix are for abyss and for maging fights

I've gotten over it before. I suggested a few things before that Jagex has used and not credited me for-.-. For example, I suggested a quest back in 05 that was almost synonymous to Gwd. There's also the matter of white dragon hide for 3rd age, but not my idea, bunches of others' though...I swear, Jagex probably has my house bugged :shock: . I was doodling on my sketch book for a cape that would store runes (btw, they took that one for the enchanted water tiara :evil: ) for a set amount of time. I then started going crazy and began creating armor and weapons for tank magers. NOT ONLY DID THEY MAKE LUNAR ARMOR WHICH WAS FAIRLY SIMILAR, THEY ALSO MADE BANDOS ARMOR WHICH WAS *EXACTLY* THE SAME. And no, I'm not crazy; I just don't like when people try to talk to my imaginary friend :cry: and then make fun of me. (lol just kidding.)

Ya they do, but in a recent Post Pete document where the Chaos Elemental wrote back, one of the lines was "A season in quick succession" refering to the latest season quest Spirit of Summer. Chances are this means that we wont have a long wait before the succession of the next season, eg. The next quest in this series, something relating to autumn. There are these following advantages to being a higher lvl: more hp more prayer better equipment more damage more spells more familiars more summoning points except for summoning points (Which are restored afterwards), all of the above only apply IF YO GET CAUGHT. Hide and run, best tactic ever. The only reason why a lvl 3 could not beat a lvl 138 is because of equipment. Spell accuracy and equipment bonuses are static, stats except prayer and hp are always fluctuating depending on your position in the arena. I have no doubt that if a lvl 3 hid for as long as he could against a lvl 138 neither with armor or weapons or the above except pure hp, I'm pretty sure the lvl 3 could win if he attacked the lvl 138 while he was tanking in the center tanking in the center = epic phail, but please feel free to do it while going against me. \

I don't have THAT much of a token per hour rate :shock: , but I have gotten about 1 token per rating point (about 850 tokens and 720 rating). It also helps to have a high total lvl. With 1699 tl, I can get 24 tokens if the other one forfeits from my leet hiding skillz \ . Normally I get around 15 or 16 when I win with 1600 charges (fairly often), or about 11 or 12 if I have ~800. If you're ftp, sorry but p2p owns so much more because the rounds are over more quickly. : You also get claws of Guthix, which lowers your opponent's defense, auto casts, and can hit 30 with Charge (like Ice barrage and you can still entangle for 15 seconds) ^^^^Adn yes, your quot does sum it up quite well. I also had this question very soon after reading the update. Very soon after did I realize the answer: jagex wants people to at least earn 50 tokens and play the game, not just buy the thing without playing the game. I would like the operate function of both barrows and fog stuff though ^_^. The orb for a about 100 tokens and gives 10 teleports to fog and 10 to recharge would be nice, but fairly useless since I have 114 combat and fog is in 6 or 7 wildy. It doesn't take that long to escape dark beast revs. There's already the games necklace which teleports to Burthrope games room, Barbarian Assault, Bounty hunter, and Clan Wars.

Please explain to me how a tiny defense boost is going to help at all? No reason to sacrifice half of the ranged and magic attack of the Zammy book for useless defense you'll never want. Then why do you only have 50m in your sig? Have you only played for 8 hours so far? (Just kidding, I know how money gets eaten up and numbers grow...) Investing is bad, flipping is good. Investing you make a max of 5% a day, with flipping 20M I can easily make 7-8% a day (That percentage drops somewhat as the cash goes up, but its still not bad). Sure, I'm only making 1.5-1.7m a day, but consider that its ~5-10 minutes of work (Buy\Flip 1-2 times, check a few times in between), I'm making anywhere from 9-20m an hour, but that number is meaningless considering I have a daily limit. And so lies the tradeoffs of GE merching - I could make at least 20-40M a day without the limits (Although merchers would probably go crazy if they were taken off). One item I was buying I could get 10k for min price in a few minutes, and after the limit it sold for max in ~10 minutes. A ~400k profit in 15 minutes, if it wasn't for limits. Although the GE would be in shambles without them, and too many merchers would flood the markets, so its a good thing that they're there. (Sorry for partially incoherent post, I'm typing this at 2:30 AM) True, you only make 5% a day. But think of it like this: it actually more than just 5% of the original price. day 0, item is released at 100k ea day 1, item is now 105k ea day 2, item is now 110.25k ea day 3, item is now 115.76k ea day 4, item is now 121.55k ea ....... day 23, item is now 307.15k ea 23 x 5 = 115. So, instead of making 115% in 23 days of investing, you actually made ~207%. And these are relatively real examples (the leaf-bladed sword started at 70k ea and ended up at a peak of 400k ~30 days later. The blk mask behaved in a similar way.)

You have to be p2p on funorb to get fullscreen as well... It's pretty useful since the angle is slightly different and the visual range is MUCH larger. Just be glad that you got HD and not have that as a p2p perk as well =D>

People begging for you to lend the rare is not abusing, people that don't deserve the item is not abusing... What part are you talking about that is? I think he means more along the lines of, "Since anybody can wear my partyhat and not just the people who can afford them, the demand will go down and make mine somewhat useless." And also along the lines of "here's also no real accomplishment with wearing someone else's d chain (in my case) because you didn't earn it." It's like giving out a party hat back before dec of 07. It meant nothing except that the person who gave it to you wanted you to have it. I'd honestly like to earn that d chain and get a pic instead of just paying 30k an hour for it...

I swear I saw somewhere either in the news posts or in the knowledge base that you could talk about youtube, funorb, and the Jagex official site, with one exception: you may talk about youtube in general, but you could not talk about the content of videos on youtube with the exception of the Jagex youtube channel. Apparently, it's not in the rules, so I guess the above is non-applicable and extinct. So, talking about ANY website must be against the rules -.- . I've seen about 4 of these guys on Rants forums complaining about the wildy updates and saying Jagex owes them a wilderness just because they've been around for 7+ years. Then again, I've only known about 5 or 6, the other two were actually quite nice. Like all the posts above me, we can't judge people by a stereotype, even if it's the vast majority of a group, you still can't judge every single person based on the actions of others. How can it be a legal gray area if it clearly goes against a binding contract (terms of agreement) that the person agreed to? Jagex decided what you can and cannot do with items and accounts. If they say that you can't "Sell" ingame items for real world cash, then it's breaking the contract and therefore breaking the law. I think some lawyers/governments are either pulling the heart strings by saying "this is the only jobs my employees can get" (in 3rd world countries or countries with a low income per person, forgot the acronym #-o ), or they're corrupt and don't give a [cabbage].

Pkers could interrupt pve at any time too. and there are other places to fight ice giant you know (and in less dangerous areas with the same amount of competition). I for one am glad that Rev's are consistent. Back then, not only did I not know green drag slayer's inventory was, but I didn't know their intentions. If I killed a pker, good for me. If I killed a green drag slayer, I could be piled by others or waste my food for a REAL pker. That's the reason why I never brought any armor into the wildy. Acting in reaction is not nearly as good as getting first strike. But since I can now act with first strike, I am at a good advantage. I just wish they were a little more pwoerful at higher lvls. Maybe that's a good idea: A rev becomes more powerful at higher wilderness lvls (not just different combat lvls.) So a lvl 7 imp at 56 wildy will be MUCH more powerful than an imp at lvl 3. First of all, if PK'ers could actually steal you from monsters (in single combat), then I admit to my mistake. However, I've seen several people saying that they could not and you're the first person to say that they could. Since we can't exactly go out and test it for proof, I'll leave that alone. Also I know that there is one other area in F2P (which is what I am) for Ice Giants and that it's safe, but 1) it's usually fairly crowded, whereas wildy giants are always empty, 2) there are Ice Warriors getting in the way at the Ice Caves, but not in the wild, and 3) I wasn't complaining about the danger. I know the wild is dangerous, and i accept that as being reasonable. Thank you. If people actually read the news posts (I'm not flaming/insulting you), then they'd know what to expect instead of just hopping in and trying to "figure it out for themselves". I didn't know you were f2p, sorry :oops: . I was assuming you could use the Chaos tunnels which is filled with ice giants with little to no competition. You can fairly easily drop trade in bh right now...I have ex-"friends" who, unfortunately, resorted to drop trading there. If they increased the size of Bh or applied it to the entire wildy then the density of players/square would be far less than being in bounty hunter, making it easier to drop trade/RWT. And just because you say so or because the theory is plausible doesn't automatically make it true ;)

Look, the point of runescape is to be fun, and hard (and addicting), BUT NOT FRUSTRATING! REVENANTS ARE FRUSTRATING OKAY! I killed them all. If it weren't for that damn chaos elemental, I wouldn't have *almost* died twice. They never use melee for some reason. I bring blk dhide and a d sq (I'l' bring an obby shield for this week's event) and I don't pray unless I'm low on food, which rarely happens. The tb is magic, the freeze is range. Run and protect from mage with melee armor and you'll be fine... And play in fullsceen because you can see MUCH farther. If you still get owned, try getting your defense lvl up. Strength is not a panacea in combat.

Oh so true :lol: But surely Jagex could "sheath" the weapons? Maybe have the whip coiled so that it hangs from your pants while you're not in combat and have the d long across your back. I'm fine with curling up the whip, it just doesn't look quite right when you run and then walk and then run again. It's like the instant coil whip. Ah well, it's nothing big and I can live with it :

If you're not interested in cost, I'd say buy diamonds and make diamond jewelry. If really do care about cost to an extent, I suggest either silver items or blue dhide.

But this might not be the place to vent out your frustration really...we ARE on a runescape FANSITE after all... .....Jagex is responsible for players selling their "own" accounts? That makes no sense at all :-s I've never been able to transfer items between characters on the same account on WoW, Rohan, SRO, etc. Maybe I just never knew how. But I don't care about that anyway. Seriously, if you want a talent/skill point system that Rs doesn't have, then play another game. And selling "their" accounts was definitely NOT the right thing to do for two reasons: 1. easy to be scammed (or maybe I'm assuming the worst in people) 2. it's not the players' property to begin with. It's in term and conditions that everything that your character and items are was, is, and will be forever the property of Jagex. I'm sure you wouldn't want your little sister to sell your old school NES just because you let her play original Legend of Zelda or Megaman series, right? Not getting religious, but saying it's Jagex's fault for RWT, is like saying it's God's fault for pollution. It matter what people DO with an item/action/ability, no the source. And I'm pretty sure that the first RWT was not some Chinese sweatshop; it was a few legit players who abused the system. A company observes and invests in something new. They don't just jump on in. And like I've said above, fanboy is sexist, at least call me fangirl. I guess I like to be [cabbage]ted on then since I've never been disappointed by Jagex's updates. Or maybe that's because I'm their ideal player: one who does or strives to do everything in Runescape. If I'm blinded by Jagex to something "better" than Rs, I can't think of something better since I reclaimed my soul form Blizzard three months ago...
