  1. What do you mean seriously? Most people have set ups for their cars, or maybe even their iPods. You have a system set up for RuneScape? Aaaw hell no!
  2. I thought a paradox was something that meant/caused something, which makes it begin that original something. For example: "I eat because I'm unhappy...and I'm unhappy because I eat!" or the OUROBOROS episode of Red Dwarf. Heh, maybe I'm the confused one :)
  3. Lets be hyperthetic and say it would influence kids...put it on after the watershed then. Then the only people to blame would be parents for allowing their kids to watch them (seeing as, more often then not, it's parents and suprisingly not videogames that leads to a troubled childhood)
  4. Well...it would never happen in the game, but it doesn't discount the fact that it would make for some exciting gameplay :)
  5. It's not entirely unreasonable, but I'd remove that from your signature ASAP; before no-one takes you seriously.
  6. If anyone ever wanted just a good old fashioned laugh, I'd direct them straight to Mel Brooks first, everytime. He's fantastic :)
  7. I think people are getting confused with paradox and oxymorons.
  8. America banned that? For God's sake...liven up. I thought Britain was a nanny state, this is just ridiculous. America wants to ban adverts which are clearly a mimicary kind of humour, not even a black comedy, on guns...yet you still sell them freely? Gimme a break.
  9. I'm more interested in deliberating Milan style and Naples style pizza. Good Lord I don't know which to choose!
  10. Starting this damn game to begin with. All those wasted nights... Blasted RuneScape! :x
  11. The second draft appears much more feasible :)
  12. Crikey. Despite the high price it warrants it's still way too overpowered. It would totally ruin the combat triangle.
  13. You take care of yourself man. You have a lot of good things going for you, always remember that.
  14. The meaning of life could be the total opposite of that, but it's a damn good way to live by in my opinion.
  15. To be honest, if we can't beat 14 vs 15 for most of a half you deserve it. We just didn't create anything, unlike Almighty Dan Carter (peace be upon him) who just plays for fun.
  16. AHA! I thought it was you who requested that song, I knew someone did. Thanks for the idea! :D
  17. AD, I've had the same experience as you recently and I hope I can help you. First of all, focus on what's infront of you. You talk of that program oppurtunity which sounds brilliant. That's a testimony to you pal, for your abilities to be offered that chance. You really don't have to worry about a make or break decision. It's never too late to do what you want to do. Remember: "Some of the most interesting people I know didn't know, at 22, what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't" Whatever you decide now, Ad, will not decide your future, but it will allow you to have an experience. An experience you can learn from, build upon and keep hold of forever. I'm going to a university to study "Law & American Law" which allows for a year studying in America. That, to me, is something I really want to experience, while putting me in good stead with a respected degree. But I'm not entering the law proffession, probably not even business. You know what's the first thing I'm going to do after that course? Try and become an actor. Pursue my first love. I'll endeavour to do something I love, with the knowledge of having a safety in something I believe I'll be good at and also enjoy. What I guess I'm trying to say is, by choosing something, it doesn't shut the door for something else. It always remains open to those who are strong willed, ambitious and seem to be the level headed, friendly natured person you appear to be on these forums. Pursue something you really want to pursue. Then go for it 100%. You owe it to yourself and I'm sure in whatever you choose, you'll make the very most of it, AD :)
  18. Interesting stuff knives, thanks for posting it! :D
  19. Well, it was a bit rich coming from me, seeing as I don't even study Christianity  But, I've been told by many Christians that the "eye for an eye" speech isn't actually instigating revenge as in "kill a killer". It is actually the antithesis; it's meant to be a deterrent for such a thing (because the whole context of the speech is sarcastic...or something. A real Christian should clear this up for me :P) I could be wrong but it's just what I've heard, so sorry if I offended you too knives :P
  20. Ah of course, the manics! Good call! :)
  21. Now I'm not even a Christian, but I'm sick beyond belief the amount of times I hear/read this from people who have clearly misinterpreted the context it's used in. If I may be rather synical, one arguement against capital punishment I take from the "Return of Jafar": I really do believe that some people don't deserve the 'get-out' clause of death for what they've done. They should be made to live with it and suffer. I may be a hypocrite for this point of view, but make what you will.
  22. Well being an English union fan, I have to say, the All Blacks are out of this world at the moment. Fully deserving that they've got the whitewash. Whether they can maintain it for another 2 years for the world cup remains to be seen, but congratulations nevertheless. It really has been a join to watch.
  23. To stick on Lion's side, when he said "no" to my perception I wasn't aggrieved or annoyed. I respect his opinion because our ideologies come from different ends of the spectrum. How can I criticise someone for that? I debate in these kind of things to learn what other people think and to perhaps learn and incorporate their thoughts into my life. I can safely say in this thread I've achieved that :)
