I thought the first one was pretty good so I'm looking foward to this one. Disney pretty much always makes at least acceptable movies (unlike Disney Channel).

    Eddie Van Halen?
  3. I'm not a huge fan of talking about about myself in real life (that's what a forums for) so I just ask alot of questions. People love to talk about themselves even if it's about the most boring things.
  4. You know what's weird? In grades k-8 I used Imperial in school but all through high school (in more advanced classes such as physics/chem/pre-cal) we always use metric measurements. I live in America by the way.
  5. The "Dreamish" speak you're talking about is actually pretty common. People talk in their sleep like that. I know my mom has told me I do and just the other day I saw my friend doing the same thing.
  6. Was just flipping through some channels a little while ago and I heard an interesting fact on cnn about our missile defense system. So far during the testing the systems been only 50% effective. I'll try to look on the website for some more information.

MyPurpleCrayon, It is true that a ton of Highschool bands just pretty much are terrible. On the other hand a few in my area are just amazing. I'm not sure what kind of music you listen to (Ska I think?) but we have all different sorts of scenes where I live. We honestly have alot of kids around here that I think are going to go pretty far. I'm not even talking about fast metal playing harcore bands, I'm talking about jazz to experimental types. PM me If you want a link or two you should check out a few.
  8. Seems like we saw different movies. The CGI was all the time. I really don't know how to explain that. I just saw it in practically every scene of the movie. Using it that much takes time away from other good things in a movie such as character development or maybe a plot. The only substance that can stop kryptonite is lead. I know that sounds a little odd but thats at least how it was in the comic books. The Kryptonite was affecting him since he was obviously incapacitated for some time afterwords. With that whole issue I just think Kryptonite should have a greater affect on him since it is his only weakness, so maybe I just have a problem with that. I think Lois had to have known that the baby was Supermans. I mean come on, how hard could it be to tell since she was pretty much with Superman all the time before Richard.
  9. I only really lifted in class and it's the summer now. Every once in awhile I'll go to the Y and lift a little bit. I normally try and do a weight that makes it so on the very last rep I either can't get it or just barely get it.
  10. I always thought special olympics was for people who were physically handicaped. Not mentally. I could be wrong of course. But that would make this quite pretty stupid, not that it wouldn't be stupid if it was correct. Not sure about that. I did this Camp Soar thing for a day at my local JCC that was all mentally challenged people. Maybe it wasent the official "Special Olympics," though. It seemed like it was endorsed by the same people. They did have the same quote as the people from the Special Olympics- the whole "let me be brave in the attempt message."

Looks pretty cool. Sort of like a runescape with more involvment other than just clicking.
  12. I looked for a thread on this and couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t find one. I went to see the movie yesterday and I have to say I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m pretty unimpressed. I'm not going to say it was a terrible movie but it was pretty bad. They actually made Superman boring. It was pretty much a line or two then cinematics for about 5 minutes. When they actually did talk it seemed like they just said clichÃÆÃâÃâés and lines from past movies. I almost fell asleep halfway through it. The plot was pretty bad also. They made Lois in my opinion seem like a really bad person (pretending that the kid is Richards). Lex Luthor (a criminal mastermind) seemed like he had no idea what would happen once he had the land. Plus I guess Superman's completely invincible now, since he can lift a giant landmass of what his ONE (excluding magic) weakness is. One the plus side, It did have a nice grand "Super" feel to it. The CGI (although used excessively) was nice. Anyone else see it?
  13. No, that's totally different. I computer is tangible. I can see, touch, lick it. I KNOW its there. lol. Can you show me time? Yes, we do live but is it really for periods of 'time'? Oh yea. A question for all those 'time-believers' =P Ok I'm sure you all know what time zones are. Well what if every hour, on the hour you traveled back one time zone. (Not sure If somebody has already answered this) Not really that crazy of a question. You would stay at the same "time," but in 24 hours you would be on the next day. Hope I understood the question right, I'm pretty tired.
  14. Sort of a point I guess. I like the feeling of when I put really cold things on my sunburn.
  15. Not sure about a favorite but a few of the best ones I can remember off the top of my head- Watchmen- (I know it's a graphic novel and maybe i'm a little biased since I just finished it a little while ago) The Alchemist- (weirdly enough I'm not a religous person but I read this book in class last year and loved it) Harry Potter Series- If I had to pick probably the Half-Blood Prince. A little off topic but I've read every single Animorphs and Everworld book except the Ellimist (I can't find it). Does The Crucible count? It's a play that I just thought was awsome.

Lucky, an A for my county (and devils =P) starts at 94 (ok, 93.5 if you round). I've always wondered how America makes it equal. Where I live (on the east side) an A is a 93.5. On the West side it's a 90 (or I guess 89.5). So If this is true how is it equal for a college to admit a kid (over another perfectely equal student) who got a 90 on the West coast and got an A, over a kid who got a 92 on the East coast and got a B. My mom told me that maybe the schools make things harder on the West coast but I think that just sounds like a crap reason. Numbers are numbers, when you divide a certain amount into another amount its easier to get a 90 over a 93.
  17. I got the 60gb too. I like the room I have (already filled up over half). I've got a few scratches on the back. I can't tell If I have any on the front since It's black. I got a little paranoid and actually bought a 30 dollar metal case. I'm pretty much never going to take it out. The things like a fortress.
  18. The League of Extrordinary Gentlemen and Hellboy sound pretty good. I don't really want to start with Japanese Manga since I'll probably go crazy with it if I do. To Knives, Is it worth it while I'm reading Watchmen to read the little stories in between the chapters? I know it sounds lazy but I'm thinking maybe I'll just read them at the end.
  19. My friend recently lent me a few graphic novels to read during my vacation in california. I had never read a graphic novel before and i'm really loving these. I'm suprised how much it can feel like watching a movie at times. V for Vendetta Watchmen Batman-Year One Batman- The Dark Knight Returns The only ones I've finished so far are V for Vendetta and I'm about a third of the the way through Watchmen. V was pretty good although I think it would have been better If I hadent seen the movie first. Watchmen so far is awsome. Every character has amazing depth. Anybody have any other recomendations for me?
  20. you dont have quicktime installed. you could try clicking on the symbol, and it should walk you through it. if not, you will have to download quicktime manually. Just got it off of youtube anyway. Thanks for the help though.
  21. I think about this all the time in Spanish class. Spanish has so fewer words for certain things thatn english. One word can cover about 4 different things. This is also the reason (and I hope I don't just sound like a lazy american) that I think that if everyone in the world had to learn a language it should be English since even though it's hard it's so much more descriptive. -by the way this is just the opinion of a guy who only knows about 1.5 languages
  22. I want to see this so badly but quicktime isnt working on my grandpas computer. Anybody know what to do when it just has the symbol in the middle and nothing happens?
  23. Oh man. That's just sick. I could only watch a little bit. I x'ed out as soon as the guy started talking to the woman on the phone.
  24. Every single darn time I go to the beach (I only go maybe once or twice a year). I put sunscreen everywhere on my body except for one little spot. It's that spot right above the kneecaps that I don't see when i'm applying while standing up. When I sit down the shorts ride up and im cooked.
  25. I played the original Socom like crazy. Clans and all of that stuff. I'm not sure why I stopped. I guess I just outgrew it. While I was playing it was really fun though. It's more of a patience game instead of like alot of games where its more based on running around like an idiot. Timesplitters future perfect though is pretty fun. Being an idiot every once in awhile isnt so bad.
