There were still contaminated burgers sitting out (SITTING OUT...IN A RESTAURANT!) several hours later. One of them was sent to the lab, and they will be able to determine the salt intake. Yes, it's a mistake. Yes, she will probably get off. Yes, the store will probably be fined. But the point here is that this was obviously a spin story. Proved by the fact it was posted here.

Oh, and I wished to clarify: 85mg of salt is literally a pinch. I could hold that easily between my fingers. Guaranteed there was more salt than that in the burger.

I'm not falling for the hook, I'm following something called 'logics'. Please, just logically apply and think about this for a second... Just accept that, no matter how hard you spin it the other way [yes, your being baised also], logics and common sense are always going to slap you in the face. There is no way that burger could have possibly been deadly and somewhat edible beyond a first bite, let alone a whole burger. I fell for no sinker, I fell for logics. For someone who is so adamant about "logics" you are certainly placing a lot of faith into imaginary evidence. It's never stated how much salt was put into the meat, and the employee could have lied about eating one on her break. The FDA has a legal limit for salt intake in foods, and that is most likely why the samples were sent to a lab. And I am thinking about this from a logical standpoint. For one, reviewing the article for evidence, which is nonexistent.

We don't know the facts, we don't know how much salt was placed on the burger because the article is biased against that information. What could be unpleasing to the officer could be catastrophic to another person, if they had eaten it. You are basing your whole argument on a sensationalist article. The article is designed to spin you towards the author's viewpoint, and you are falling for it hook, line, and sinker.

Then she should sue the supervisor. Better yet, she should have waited until he was not looking and thrown the meat away. It's easy to pass the blame up the chain, but she should have done the right thing and thrown it away. Regardless of how much salt was in the burger, it shouldn't have been there. It was contaminated with something that should not have been in it at that quantity. Yes, the cop probably overreacted. But so would I if I knew someone had sold me contaminated food.

You fail to see the point that the woman can be arrested for violation of the health code by serving tainted food. This is less about the cop getting a salty burger and more about the fact that they served those burgers in the first place. I have worked in restaurants. If we accidentally taint food, we throw it away and start again. We did not take it to the customer first to make sure it was bad and then start to make something else.

I can sum up an retort to everyone's statements towards my views on this matter: Flagrant Sensationalism. We aren't hearing the whole story, we are only hearing enough to sway us to one side of the argument. Like Mercifull, Bubsa, and I say, there is more to this story than meets the eye. But everyone is too much "LOL! AMERICA!" to read between the lines.

An over-intake of salt can KILL you. It dehydrates the body very rapidly. Whoever was responsible can face several years in prison for breaking the health code.

Actually, she should have just been fired for it. Spilling gross amounts of salt, even by accident, and then instead of throwing the oversalted food away, she serves it to customers. Then says "why don't they just throw it away." Because they paid for it, and you willingly gave them bad food.

thats how a typical teen would deal with it, I think waaaay too much for my age...I also have never been on my parents bad side, I haven't been grounded since 5th grade. I'd really appreciate it if you changed that to "Extremest" rather than "fundamentalist." Many Islam Fundamentalists would be very appreciated at the fact that you are equating them with terrorists, when they abhor Bin Laden. Even someone as "off-the-scale" right wing as Osama knows that a younger image will give him more appeal.

I think by "embrace Islam" he means accept it, not necessarily to convert. However, the US would never embrace militant Islam, and we already embrace normal Islam. So he's barking up the wrong tree.

Yep, heat energy is most definately released from biochemical reactions. The deal here is that it's released as a result of matter changing it's chemical bonds via chemical reactions. The matter itself isn't turning into heat energy, it's the change in chemical bonds which is key here. Ya, if I recall don't our most efficient chemical reactions still only work at 39% efficiency, with the rest of the energy escaping as heat energy? :-k Just think of how much BTU the human body puts out. Most of that heat is dissipated through the skin, else we would cook from the amount of heat generated by our natural processes.

Catholic is a generic term for the church. We often shorthand "Catholics" to mean the Roman Catholic Church. All Christian churches are Catholic, but many just say Universal now. It means the same thing.

The reason the deaths are significant to people other than the families is because of the reasoning behind it. Those people were flat out murdered in the name of the perversion of a religion. In fact, after watching Osama's video today I thought he was insane. Plus the fact that it was the first foreign attack on US soil in 60 years, only 3 of such attacks have happened in our nation's history. Almost makes you wonder what his term would be like without the war.

It's my generation's defining moment. I watched the plane fly into the second tower on live television. My father watched JFK get shot on live television. My grandmother listened to the bombing of Pearl Harbor live over the radio. My great-grandfather spent his childhood during the Civil War. It's an important event, and I hope to God some of you kids don't have to have a defining tragedy for your generation.

I was telling someone the other day about this. Jagex needs to find a bot author...any bot author who lives in the US or Britain and just sue the freaking socks off of them. Make it unrealistic, etc. It's doubtful the bot author has legal representation to defend himself. Make an example of him, hang him high. Send a clear message to the rest of the auto-author population. Soon enough, the updates to those programs will stop.
