  1. Oh, and Hobbit? Thanks for calling me a Nazi. Bush isn't doing anything bad enough to be impeached for. And his plummetting approval rates can be attributed to the rising influence of various mediae. Which is actually an insult to the people, since people are so clueless to politics that we have to listen to other people to know what we want. Believe it or not, a withdrawal from Iraq (which is what he is going to be "impeached" over, is not going to end the violence. Americans are only dying because we are getting in harms way to prevent Sunni extremists from killing off Shi'ites, and vice versa. They are still going to kill eachother after we leave. I would much rather see us help out as long as we can. It's been my experience that ditching a fledgeling nation shortly after a regime change is only asking for trouble. Panama, the Congo, Serbia, Yuogoslavia...just to name a few. And don't get me started on the Democrats these days. The Pork-Barrell spending that has happened since the 2006 elections has been staggering. One senator got money to build a high school IN HIS NAME with top-notch facilities to garnish votes. All this while the Democrats claim we are broke. My personal philosophy for budget spending is to cut social security after a certain point, and strictly reduce welfare spending. Then, use this MASSIVE amount of our budget (more than HALF folks) we can devote it to NASA and R&D on alternative fuels, food production, and various other IMPORTANT things that are actually worth the trillions of dollars lost every year.
  2. I'd just craft my own. My need for them is so low that I would be willing to take it slow.

Only one Barihawk out there :).
  4. He didn't have any boxes, no. According to his suitemates he occasionally "emphasis on rarely" played Counterstrike, which is not a boxed game.
  5. What are you talking about, Nadril? That was just Jack Thompson. Chris Mathews told him off hardcore about the CounterStrike statements on Hardball. From what I have gathered from media: He was a mentally-ill foreign exchange student with obvious issues. It is very unlikely that he was "made fun of" by the way he was behaving in his rants. He played CS, but who doesn't?
  6. Two words: After-Prom. Most fun I have ever had at school, ever. After that, probably crap from Marching Band, and then the uber-awesome AP Physics projects. I got a 114 on a project. We had to make a musical instrument from scratch, original design. I spent 3 bucks at Home Depot on some length of plumbing equipment and a brass fitting (mouthpiece) and made a working stadium horn capable of multiple notes (hell, I could play entire songs on it).
  7. Really? I live life fully every day, and I consider myself ready to die. Someone once said "Time is a predator that stalks you all your life. You can try to evade it with medicines or technology, but one day it will pounce in for the kill." I would rather enjoy my life than spend the entirety of it worrying about death. And to the question if I would rather die to save someone than flee and live? I would much rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
  8. If 2 Finnish soldiers and 10 Americans died, you would probably be concerned more about your own nation's losses. It's a global phenomenon. If 2 Finnish soldiers would die, it wouldn't be in news in U.S or some where else? It might be in a news ticker. Most people would not notice. They rarely even talk about American casualties in the main news programs.

  10. Good point, Bubsa. The news of the bombings in Iraq were probably broadcast on a Ticker...I wouldn't have even noticed it. :(
  11. Reading this thread explains so many of you...geez.
  12. Like you said, Bluelancer, nobody else in the world cares. That's why the gross majority of Americans do not care about other countries. Jeff Foxworthy makes a good point: "The news is getting so depressing lately that I only seem to care if it happens to Americans, anymore. Last week I heard a story on the news about a bus in Pakistan that drove off a cliff and killed 300 people. My first though was 'how do you fit 300 people on to a bus?' Once it becomes a math problem, some of the emotional sting seems to be removed." While I will agree that the sensationalist media that seems to have cropped up in the past 10 years is indeed making a BIG deal out of it, that's what they always do. These are the same freaks who made Scott Peterson into a 'celebrity' and spend more time broadcasting Anna Nicole's funeral instead of the President's speeches. And don't make fun of Bush's speech. The nation was horrified. As a college student myself, I have noticed myself and others looking a little more cautiously at each-other. I've seen people on campus that honestly worried me that they were carrying an assault rifle under that black coat and dark expression. The nation is horrified, is horrified, is horrified, is horrified, is horrified, is horrified. At the very least, those of us most affected by Monday's events. Look at the Press, Bluelancer. They have made a big deal that 3000 Americans have died in Iraq. No mention is made of prayers for the families of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, unless it's for a political stab. It's called the liberal media (and I am not talking partisan here). All they care about is making money by their audience.
  13. Hell, that's the best part of the whole deal.
  14. Pfft, never use the Jagex rants forum as evidence for anything. They all threatened to quit, join WoW, and then cut themselves when Jagex changed the textures on chainmail, "ruining" the Dragon Chainmail.
  15. I'm pretty sure teaching since he mentioned moving up to teach college. Actually, it's a masters in History. My college minor was in getting teacher's certification. I majored in History.
  16. Thanks for ignoring rule 1 completely and utterly. And Nadril, I am just trying to discourage memes. I meant that if it's just a plain picture with HUGE WHITE WORDS then it probably is not funny. Your picture is fine.
  17. This thread is starting to make me regret my chosen career path. You guys have single-handedly inspired me to get my Masters as quickly as bloody possible so I can move up to teaching college and get the hell away from you.
  18. Since McGuff stole my edit: Feel free to post funny stuff (I miswrote my previous post), but make sure it's actually freaking funny. EDIT: Rule of thumb, if it needs text to make it funny, it probably is not funny. Such as thus:
  19. Maybe the administrator got trigger-happy after deleting the myriad of unacceptable pictures. And my point still stands that this is a random picture thread, not a "random funnay picture" thread. It's worked well on other forums, but apparently it's having difficulty here. :( Maybe the rules from the thread I had based this off of are needed: Hey, those look like the rules for this thread! Whoa :P
  20. I am not talking about the guy dancing. I am referring to the guys with their whoo-hah's dripping out of their pants, people making out with tongue (a little much for a PG forum) and the representation of sexual intercourse using fruit. THOSE are what I am referring to, not the bloody dancing man.
  21. Was it with a post with other pictures? That's all I can think of. :-s
  22. PK farther north? The chance of a successful PK in level 10- is slim to none, because every moron is going to flee like a squirrel. If you are going to DM someone one-on-one, do it right. Have an epic duel on the volcano.
  23. It's not homophobic, is it? Many parents would call that stuff pornography. The guy dancing was apparently an innocent victim of one of your other images. For the last time guys, you are not the supreme rulers of this board. You are not exempt from forum rules. This thread is hanging by a thread, and you guys seem hell-bent on snipping it.

Girls like glasses! Just not the bug-eyed massive kind. As I stated earlier in the thread, frequent sand-storms prevent me from wearing contacts out here. I wear them back in Dallas, but I honestly prefer the convenience of glasses. And trust me, there are tons of attractive models to choose from. Glasses to me are like any other accessory.
  25. Just a reminder to everyone posting here: This board is PG, period. As in do not post anything here that a parent would not want their children to see. Men in thongs, women kissing, bringing up sex in an immature way...none of these have a place here. Please keep this topic a "random image" thread. Post SLI pictures, interesting things from the internet. Don't just repost the same bloody meme's that we have all seen before. This topic does not need to be a repository of crap you can find on 4Chan.
