  1. I'm sorry ecopetition, but I laughed a little. We will let you be in charge of going to every gun owner in the world and collecting the guns. Good luck. And Green, I eat the deer meat and present the rest of the kill to a taxidermist that uses all of the parts. You'd be surprised how useful deer gizard is.
  2. If a member of my family was killed by a gun, I would be more concerned with them coming to justice. I would feel the same way if they were killed by a knife, piano wire, or any other weapon. I'm not going to go off on an anti-knife chrusade. My gun is for recreation. And hunters do not have "blood on their hands." What is a more humane and noble way for a creature to die? To be killed by a predator (in this case, a hunter) or be systematically slaughtered in a farm?
  3. Knives are still a viable option. You forget that guns are loud. You are also assuming that the killer is meeting his victim face to face and both are aware of the impending attack. Oh, and I only own one gun (a shotgun) that is kept in a safe in separate parts and kept away from the ammunition. I'd much rather hit someone else over the head with a putter than shoot them.
  4. I never said it was murder. I'm all for the war in Iraq. I'm just saying that if a sock is as easy to kill a man with as a gun is - why aren't they using socks? They'd be a hell of a lot cheaper. It's in the philosophy of murder, not fighting a war. It's a different situation. I wouldn't say that either. However, guns are fine for protecting homes, where you might have an aggressive criminal with a gun. I do not think all people on the street should have guns. To be honest, a mandatory class on gun safety and use would have to be required as well :). I don't like them, but they are needed. The Second Amendment upholds all the rest. If the government were to excercise too much control over us, we the people would need to defend ourselves.
  5. You underestimate the black market. Without guns, people would be defenseless against criminals, and they would have plenty of firepower. It's a no-win situation.
  6. If someone has their heart bent on killing someone, they are going to do it. No matter what weapon they use. The war in Iraq is not murder. Those are trained men fighting a war. It's a different situation.
  7. What other use is there other to kill things? And don't say for target practice, that's not a practical use. Im not necessarily anti-gun but that's a bold statement, Why is target practice not practical? It's very practical for those of us who are competition marksmen. I for one have not shot a living thing asides from microorganisms that happened to get between the barrel and the paper. You sir, have obviously never experienced the joy of Venison. Plus, it's a more noble death for a deer to be killed by a predator like me rather than be harvested for food at a deer farm. And don't bring illegal guns into this. No, the average Joe has no need for assault rifles and grenades. But rifles and shotguns are used for hunting or recreation. And security shotguns/pistols are for protection. And BlueLancer: I fully support legislation for mandatory psych testing at the expense of the customer (administered yearly) for gun purchases.
  8. What other use is there other to kill things? And don't say for target practice, that's not a practical use. Im not necessarily anti-gun but that's a bold statement, Hunting, food, survival. Not to mention protection. The gun itself can be quite a tool without even firing a shot. What I am talking about by "weapon" is in the case of murder.
  9. If you make guns illegal, only the criminals will have guns. American groups like the ATF are trying to eliminate illegal weapons in the US. Stop blaming your troubles on metal. The guns don't take blame. The real weapons are the psycho's who get their hands on them. It doesn't matter what tool they use. A wrench is a not a weapon, a gun is not a weapon, a knife is not a weapon, a sock is not a weapon. But the real weapon can use any of these to commit crimes.
  10. Well...not quite. If the calculation for Relativity were able to be done inversely, that would make sense. But it only works one way. Basically, your source is going along the lines that mass must be decreased in order for c to be breached. (c = speed of light) This principle does not exist in the real world however. Althought creating an anti-gravity principle (like the inverse warp theory) would allow the speed of light to be crossed by lowering mass (or even removing it from the equation).

We can create mini-black holes but anti-matter is out of our reach? If the French could produce a thousandth of an ounce in 1929, we should be able to make a few ounces today. At least.
  12. Err...we shouldn't. Lunar spells are non-violent. Call them "white magic" to the "black magic" of Ancient.
  13. Actually... According to the Bible, even the Son does not know. Note the footnote, however... Thanks, I was going from memory.
  14. Your Rapture information is wrong. Only the believers will be taken to Heaven. Then, it will be up to the remaining population to decide if they wish to follow the Anti-Christ or rebel. And the Bible mentions the Rapture, but never states when it will be. Not before, not during, not after. It's completely up to God's plan. The day and hour is unknown, except to the Father and Son. Although I will admit, the first true time in history in which the natural course of events prophecized in Revelation have only started about 10 years ago. Food for thought.
  15. Sweet, the long-awaited Varrock update. And new lunar spells! Sweet!
  16. I am sorry, but that statement made me chuckle a little bit. Anyone who PK's within 5 levels of the Zamorak Mage has no skill. I've seen one successful DM there ever...and it was an accident. People run from DM's. People waste hundreds of thousands of GP each day at the cheap possibility of snagging a freaking glory. And I am sorry, but PKers in that region have the ugliest outfits ever.
  17. Try telling that to the soldiers who are put at unbelievably high risk on patrol with him. He will be sharing that risk right along with them. So?
  18. I actually like it. Especially the ruby ones! Zogre minigame = half keys! And bracelet means more inventory space!
  19. Assassin can, however, debate me on Dinosaurs since that related both to Genesis and Miracles. But all the stuff about cells needs and complexity needs to go somewhere else.
  20. Warrior, in this thread I am defending Fundamentalism and Creation. Not debating evolution, in any way. There are dozens of topics in this forum on evolution, challenge me there. The OP asked that we stick to the topics specified: Creation and Miracles. Evolution is an entirely different debate.
  21. Give me a day or two on this, I'm a little busy with tests and papers. I have issues with that info, but give me time.
  22. Most up to date on both. I never said IE7 was more popular. I only use it for playing Runescape. Darkrick, I test each "addon" and do not clutter up with useless ones. Aside from the weather one (I don't want an out-of-browser one), they are mostly security updates.
  23. [hide]Actually, dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible, and we will prove it by doing the following three things: violet ball Examining the Bible̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s text and the related scientific facts. violet ball Explaining the accuracy of the Bible. violet ball Exploring what we are taught in school and through the media. The Bible̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Text The Bible refers to many the common animals we know today. The list includes lions, wolves, bears, sheep, cattle and dogs along with various kinds of birds, rodents, reptiles, and insects. What is interesting is that this extensive list includes three animals that we no longer recognize. These three are (in the original Hebrew language) tanniyn, b@hemowth (yes, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s spelled correctly̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
  24. Opera loads pages much more slowly than FF for me. Of course, I also have several addons that do that.
  25. As I stated before, bring forth these so called "mountains of evidence." I am actually disappointed. I was looking forward to a good post from you. And yes, as always when I say your "interpretation" is a view common amongst the internet, you tell me it's not true and give me a wiki link. Thanks for the laugh.
