  1. If I hadn't read that topic about the marathon, I might just have been wierded out :P.
  2. Yes, it's an amazing setting for a DM.
  3. Exactly- i dont know who in jagex suggested that but it wasnt a good idea in many people's opinions. About the hills, ill have to try them for myself. I don't mind east of the GD, but in my opinion the ruined castle is worthless as a single zone. It's even more of a perfect place for a melee war than west of the GD's. The hill's arent bad. I ran a few tests with another explorer up there and you can manipulate the camera to get beads up the hills.
  4. Liquid fire is not exactly the dimmest thing out there :P. As I said before, the volcano looks amazing for DMs.
  5. That's pretty elitist. The wilderness is there for risk. You want to risk so that you can kill people and get loot. Skillers risk for enhanced training at the cost of possibly being PKed. Clue hunters don't even have a chance in the matter, and risk death for a gamble. I'm not a total skiller. I went PKing just yesterday. And I am getting sick and tired of this elitist PKer vs Skiller debate. Just get along and kill eachother, for Pete's sake. I'm not asking for you to give up killing people just because they skill. Just don't whine like a baby when you're HUGE advantage over them is diminished.
  6. Why shouldn't I? The tactics are almost the same. If people are allowed to compare the runescape economy with a real life economy, why cant battle tactics be applied? It's not like I am disgracing the soldiers who fought those wars. In addition, here is my theory on the hills: They give skillers, clue hunters, rune miners, and dragon slayers a fighting chance. Which I think is totally fair after spending years getting attacked just for stepping foot into the wilderness. The only change I ask is that east of the greaters becomes multi. That area is awesome for wars and its not likely for anyone to wander there without good reason (ie no skills or monsters to train on there)
  7. Isn't the whole point of a war to find your enemy's weakness and exploit it? Both sides of the clans would struggle to control the hills. The hills would see the bloodiest fighting of the clan wars...just like real wars. I may not be in some uber fancy clan, but I think I would get more fun out of this now. It's less...boring up there. And the Volcano is AMAZING for DMs. That would be all fine and dandy if there was 1 stupid hill, there are tons.As for volcano dming, theres something we have called pjers.I could talk more about them if youd like :D Well, look at the Korean War...there were lots of hills there, too. It won't hurt wars too much, It'll make them more fun...as long as you are there for fun and not for free stuff. And I know all about PJers. The tip there is to make sure you are alone before you fight. Not to mention that a quick getaway to the level 13 wild is only a few steps away.

  9. So you guys hate it because of the mysticism? Heck, I'd find that kinda fun, not knowing who you are going to run into. It's a clan war, not a picnic. You're basically complaining that the Wilderness is too dangerous now. And?
  10. I really hope these wild portals dont screw the place up. any of you catch that, jagex thinks were a bunch of whiners, thats kind of stereo typing dont you think? As evidenced by the "We are holding back the tag update so that we make sure it measures up to your high standards" crack.
  11. No offense Dragon, but the update's been out an hour and you are screaming bloody murder. How would this affect wars? Heck, I think it would make it more fun. And Wars are ALWAYS biased to a defender, RL or in RS. Heck, I might enjoy PKing now that there is some change of scenery up there.
  12. Whoops. I just copied and pasted :P.
  13. You say that they are a productive member of society. What about the productive members of society that they murdered and raped. What about the lives of the productive members of society that were personally affected by the crime? I think it's totally warranted, as long as there is irrefutable evidence to thier guilt. On top of that, take away the plushness of prisons and make it a real correctional facility. Make it enough hell that the jailed looks forward to work and correction.
  14. "Racist rednecks"...Now that is irony. *Point being, you accuse a group of being discriminitory while using a discriminitory term to describe the discriminitory group.* They are racist, and they are rednecks. So now if you call someone that is short, short...you are being discriminitory. If you call someone hot that it is hot, you are being disriminitory. You're like one of those idiots off of the news that try to act so perfect and make the biggest deal out of small stupid things just for attention. Being short is a genetic trait. A "redneck" has always been a discriminatory term for "white trash" or "poor white folk" or something of that nature. Tell me now, by singling out thier group in a negative way, are you being discriminatory? I can call a person short as an observation. There is nothing hateful about it. The very term "redneck" is offensive, and always has been. It's like calling a colored person the N word. Am I perfect? Heck no. I've made biased and discrimintory remarks against people. Everyone will discriminate upon others, there is no escape. Christ himself called out the tax collectors and money changers.
  15. Or you can laugh at Texas weather because it's random? Yes, we are having a record hot season, but it's hardly been dry. EDIT: For the record, it's rained more in the desert city of Lubbock, Texas, than it has in Dallas.
  16. Given the state of today's prison system, one is not likely to rot with A/C and Cable television. Maybe 50 years ago, but not today. I support it. If you kill a productive member of society, you don't deserve to ever return to it.
  17. You are also the only person in the picture that is not beating on me :P.
  18. Queen - Killer Queen The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love These two have caught my attention recently.
  19. I enjoyed the movie...once. If I saw it again I would probably be yawning. However, my friend and his sister have seen the movie 18 times, while others couldn't sit through the first showing.
  20. Actually, it was 3D with 2D sprites :P.
  21. "Racist rednecks"...Now that is irony. *Point being, you accuse a group of being discriminitory while using a discriminitory term to describe the discriminitory group.*
  22. The new update doesn't kill autoers, it just makes the fruits of thier effort less profitable.
  23. I believe the third party would win: my digestive system.
  24. Hah, that hit was on me :P.
  25. 2003-2004, my Senior year. Geez, that was a fun year.
