Macs don't have antiviruses, yet we are starting to see viruses on Macs. And buying a mac to install Windows is a waste of money. Also you should go with something else than AVG as it is one of the worst antiviruses nowadays, such as MSE or Avast or Avira (and even then, I think Avira is starting to decline as well nowadays) As for battery life of my laptop, it used to last 4:30 hours (17" screen and basic battery), now pretty much lasts 3:30, but that's not like my friend's Acer that only has 20 min battery life on his (that was a year ago when both our laptops were 2 years old, for his, I don't know how long it lasts today) so there is battery life loss, but 1h after 3 years is very good I think.

PC based? I would think you are a mac fanboy the way you wrote it. My Windows Based Asus laptop that is 3 years old still runs like new, even the battery still lasts almost as long as new. Just depends on the brand you go for. LED screens are also available on some Windows based laptops. If you had a bad brand of laptop like Dell or the older HP, or Acer or a lot of the brands that make their computers with cheap parts, it's sure that you will love the Mac laptop. For the lit keyboard, I don't care about those things because I don't need to look at my keyboard to write, even if there is no lights around. It all comes to personal preference, in which case you prefer mac for laptop but a Windows based brand for Desktop. Also for the Office suite, there is LibreOffice that also has a version for Macs.

I don't think it's illegal to use your neighbours wireless connection if it is not protected. It is open to everyone, so why not use it? If they don't want people using it, they would protect it and cracking the password would what's illegal.

Nyosuht, for Dell, older laptops like yours will run strong as Dell was a very good brand, but it was only until about 3 or 4 years ago, now out of the 7 new desktops (6 months old now) at work, 4 had to have parts replaced, including the motherboard on 2 of them.

It's the world market value for all goods and services produced in a nation in a given year, either nominal (using price values for that year) or real (going by whatever year's values you want). We have the largest in the world - our GDP is roughly the same as our national debt, and, depending on who you ask, it is the largest (by some accounts second) in the world (some figures count EU exports to itself, but evened out the EU and US GDPs are close). All this being said, I do think our nation is in trouble - not from competition, so much as from its own growth. We're growing too much, and not in the right ways. Agriculture is suffering more than it should be, and we are far too dependent on foreign energy resources, and nonrenewable fuels in general. In Texas, the largest power providers get huge percentages of their electricity from wind farms out here in the western part of the state, but it can be faulty, and depending so much on a resource that is not completely dependable has already blown up several times with major outages in the cities to the east. We just need to slow down and take a look at what we're doing. Then, we need to carry on. You still fail to see that the USD is getting weaker. If the Canadian government hadn't purposely done stuff to help all the companies exporting to the US by lowering the value of the CAD, Canadian money would be worth more than the USD.

As far as I know as well their service is very good. I bought all my parts there, and built a computer for a friend with parts bought on NCIX.

In fact it really depends in what region too. In my region Telus has the best coverage, but is pretty expensive, Bell has good coverage and is expensive, while Rogers has almost no coverage and is the most expensive. You can't get a phone for less than $50/month here.

I'ma say that I dont think this is strictly speaking true. Not just HDDs, which do break over time (they're mechanical, after all), but the electronics in other components from CPU to GFX Card to Motherbord run down, AFAIK. Yes the HDD will slow down as it gets filled with stuff, especially when there is about 20% free space left. As for the other components, the CPU and the GPU can slow down depending how much they are making heat and how often you clean them, as overheating will cause damage.

The Galaxy S is what the company I work for gave us for when we're on-call, and I absolutely hate that phone. It is badly designed, I hate the touch screen, it always seems to press something when I put the phone in my pocket.

For gaming, a good graphics card is what you're going to want, rather than a massively high end CPU. Newegg does deliver to Canada, but for Canadians the best bet is NCIX.com. They're very good with the price matching for parts that costs less elsewhere, which often ends up costing less to build a full computer than than Newegg or other websites like Tiredirect.ca. I don't know about that. Sounded good to me, so I checked and the Core i7 2600k is $25 more at ncix. Then again you can use the price match which is almost always accepted and get it for the same price. That at the same price and other parts that are lower price on Ncix than other websites, makes for a lower price overall.

I don't see much difference between those screenshots, I guess the screenshot doesn't catch it :S.

That kind of stuff used to happen to me too, I'd dream something and it would happen, but was extremely rare and for important life events that were to come. I sometimes had them up to 3 years prior to the event. I even have one in mind of something that happened a few years ago. Now I pretty much just get huge deja vu feelings when it's something that I have never done before. I can't remember my dreams anymore, but for some reason these deja vu feelings still come.

It's weird, on Windows 7 I just put an old hard drive into a new computer, and the key didn't void.

I hope you're talking about Windows XP because I've never had that kind of problem with later versions of Windows.
