I don't know about you, but Windows fully boots up to the desktop in less than 30 seconds on my HDD.

Windows 7 has higher minimum requirements. Personally I haven't seen any difference in speed or any difference in the way it "hogs" the system. For some reason even though technically 7 does have higher minimum requirements I think it runs smoother than Vista on the same hardware. But personally if your computer is having trouble running Vista I would see if you can find XP somewhere, and if not that then start looking into Linux distros. They got it very good with windows 7 where it runs better than Windows XP on system that have 512MB of RAM, but on systems that are strong enough to run Vista/7 there isn't any difference in performance from both OSes. I do have proof of that being my old desktop on which it initially had XP, then I installed Vista on it, which was faster than XP, and then Windows 7 which had the same speed and such as Vista. It is now back to Vista since I built myself a computer last year and didn't want to buy another license, and it is very stable and runs well and fast. Although using Linux distros is always the best way to go if you know how to use it/like it.

Call of Duty XP site. I can't imagine the paintball matches will end well. I just know some 13-16 year old is going to leave crying due to being hit a few times. Pretty sure they won't let them in, seeing as the game itself is usually 17+.

How is the new zombie map? I haven't tried it yet as I'm not much of a zombie player. Will probably try this weekend. My frirends seemed to have a hell of a lot of fun in it though when I was in the same party as them (I'm often in parties of 6).

At least as far as I know it's only treyarch that has a hell of a problem with hit detection. Can't wait until the popular game changes to something better AKA MW3. Next Treyarch game I won't get, seeing as WaW and BO both had pretty bad hit detection issues. Not sure yet if I get MW3 though.

I have played the map pack and it's not worth getting. Out of the 4 multiplayer maps I only like Hangar 18. I did post my very first game of the map pack on youtube, if anyone is interested.

Regret: Buying the new Black Ops map pack.. Confession: I'm too much of a person that will read without posting on these forums. Also I do most of the things like a left handed person while being right handed.

Security. Not everyone has more people living with them, but things that usually need a password will still need them, UAC included if there are more than one user account.

It is possible to do it. It still requires to setup a password for security on windows 7. I know it is possible simply because I have setup my parent's computer to login automatically onto Windows 7. UAC still works and stuff. Once we know which version of Windows we can tell how to do it.

You'll save a lot by getting that same desktop on Newegg if it is listed on Newegg or other websites that sell computers. Best Buy is generally overpriced.

#-o I've solved some issues of getting blue screens in the logo screen a few times (although only one of those was on my computer when XP's SP3 came out). We never know. If you think you know everything about computers get out of here now. There's people that know much more than us in this forum.

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

Well, I haven't looked at apps since the only smartphone I've used is the company I work for's Galaxy S (by the way never get that phone, very bad sound quality when talking on the phone, often freezes too).

Probably not stock seeing as those where I live seem to not have that much strenght, they're more annoying than anything as far as I'm concerned, seeing as most are driven by teenagers that are bad drivers (probably not like that everywhere but at least here it is like that).

Just shows how much I listen to mainstream music -> Almost never. I never have the stereo on the radio either, it's always CDs/MP3 player when I listen to music.

Would affect me in the sense that I get my bills by mail, but then again today Telus sent me my new bill by txt message on my phone. The only thing is that I won't know how much I owe my new ISP since I never paid anything to them yet. Appart from that let them stay on strike, but they are already getting paid quite a lot ($23/h+), I don't know why they whine.

Speedfan is a very bad program when it comes to getting temperatures. I suggest HWMonitor instead.

I'm allergic to too many things to name them all here. For this time of the year it is pollen. I use Reactine Extra Strenght and it works well, almost completely killing the symptoms. I still have some allergies that I have to find out what they are, such as one at the end of the summer as well.
