First of all let me just say there are a lot of bad posts in this thread, but I think you could probably blame it on the topic that was made to begin with. Honestly I'm not even sure what the exact idea of this topic is that we are supposed to be discussing. stff Oh wow, they have special skills? I didn't know that, I guess they deserve the money a lot more than people who educate our children, keep us alive when we are in critical condition, and spend days under enemy fire, I mean cause that stuff doesn't take skill at all, anyone can do it, whats the point in having to go through several years of college and/or special training for this? Whether or not they DESERVE more money than most other people in this country doesn't even matter. The fact is there are a lot of people who can do those jobs you said, and there are very few who can play pro sports. To play pro sports you pretty much have to be born with amazing talent in that field. Most of the jobs you are talking about almost any somewhat intelligent person can become as long as they try hard. I don't understand why people can't seem to realize this. I do think people do those social service jobs should get paid a lot more, but I mean it all pretty much boils down to the basic rules of economy, supply and demand. Hundreds of millions of people watch pro sports around the globe if not more. There is a big demand for athletes and only a select few can do that job. People are willing to pay large sums of money for entertainment, so naturally these people are going to get paid a lot of money. Also if you think about it, these guys are helping out a lot too. I mean a lot get paid way more than they need, so a lot donate to charities, not to mention the huge sums of taxes these guys are paying. Also I don't know how true this is as I have only seen it on T.V, but there are programs like NBA Cares where they go out around the community and help out. Not that you can put a price on social service, but I think a lot of these pro athletes are helping more than others even though its often indirectly. You kind of summed up what the main point of what I've been trying to say throughout this whole thread.

Explain "cheap". Insane crits and dps, you can attack people before they even know you're there (stealth and then even vanish), people can't really get away from you that easily (depends on class, and even then you have poison and sprint), stunlock (Nadril ;)), kick is a killer too if you're a caster. Plus everyone has probably been ganked by a rogue more than most other classes, since it's so freaking easy. Rogues are great in all brackets, but especially the lower level ones for twinks. Plus, there are a TON of rogues because they are so good which doesn't help matters. Does that help =P?

I'd like to see a football player last 1 week in a class full of 1st graders without anyone to help him. And people say teaching is easy :roll: Wow you two are so dumb. You can't even make that comparison. Ken, they get paid "10x a teachers sallary" because only a select few (VERY few) can play professional sports, as Reb already kind of said. However, there are a lot of people who can teach and there are some now who don't have any of those qualities you just mentioned, granted they are bad teachers. Photo, using your horrible logic, I would like to see a teacher play any professional sport. Exactly, they couldn't do it. This is a horrible topic. I think that if someone who wasn't so ignorant made a topic similar to this like "Should professional athletes get paid as much as they do," it would be somewhat interesting. EDIT: stuff I'd like to see a football player teaching 7th grade students algebra 1/2 (if they knew it them selves. heck, even trying to read an 8th grade class any kind of novel.... cyrano de bergerac please? "ummm he's a guy with a long nose" "no duh" I'd like to see a foot ball player read a story with depth. ' Isn't that pretty much what you already said? Once again, what a stupid post. It's not like all athletes are idiots. In fact, I would say a fair amount of them are actually quite intelligent. In order to play sports in school, you have to be able maintain a certain grade point average, which is often low, but I know a lot of athletes who maintain great grades a long with being able to keep up in their sport. Maybe where you live they don't. Or maybe you're still in middle school still and you wouldn't realize this yet, which is probably the case.

Easy, Pointless, Hardly anything to really make it special.... ROFL agreed. That was the most pointless game I have ever played. I think you used like one button (A) and the control stick. I got several hours of play out of the multi-player though with this kids I used to babysit. Sycosis: What was the point of quoting Militaris and not even saying anything? That was so dumb Militaris: Where did you get the games and where are you selling? Did you buy them from the store and you're going to sell them on ebay or something? I'd really like to do that because there are a lot more GC games I still want to try but I don't want to pay a ton for them.

I rented the Sonic game on the wii, played adventure mode for about an hour, then multiplayer with a friend for about 2 hours. Never played it for the rest of the week I had it. It kind of sucked IMO As for me I don't really know. I've probably got the most play out of Super Smash Bros Melee from the multiplayer modes, same with a few James Bond games. TP and Ocarina of Time were pretty sweet too =P

The hate mail is HILARIOUS, although I honestly think some of it is fake or he adds parts in. Like when he says where the person accesses his site from, for the one person it said they were searching for something like "sites for losers and depressed people," which I kind of find hard to believe.

I love that website. You might want to put a warning for explicit language in your first post of the topic. I love most of them, but one that I laughed about the most was probably when he was making fun of the little kids' drawings. My friend also got his book which was alright (the Alphabet of Manliness I think it's called).

I plan on buying both games for Xbox as soon as my AP exams are over as I don't have time to play them now. Am I the only one that can't stand the load times? Every time you go in or out of a new zone it takes like 15 seconds to load. It's a huge pain especially when you accidentally go into one. Ugh, I hate all of that loading. I guess you get that a lot with the somewhat older games. rocket: Why is it better the 2nd time around? You don't have to spend 30 minutes at parts trying to figure out where to go next when you get stuck or what?

But some people, like me, are far more judgemental than others >_<. I confess to being terrible at phone conversation. Tripsis, I think everyone is judgmental, some more than others. I'm definitely like that, and even though I think I'm right about a lot of judgments I make, I still feel somewhat guilty about it. I think the best thing you can do honestly is just be aware of it, and try to stop it when you notice yourself doing it I guess. Reb, I hate talking on the phone. I guess I kind of suck at them too, but I don't really do it too much. I try to avoid it as much as possible. Talking in person is so much better because theres also the whole body language thing, and awkward silences aren't so awkward in person I think.
