Global warming...
DAMN STRAIGHT 98 [bleep] (I didn't make the title page correctly :( ) We've been throwing money at GW for decades. And the Sahara is still growing? FASCINATING. Maybe because throwing money at it does nothing? We've learned at least this from Obama. obama has been feeding the sahara money and that's why it's growing? interesting.

Ranged Training Technique
armor doesn't affect it, wear your metal armor everywhere, unless you want to wear some leather stuff for a minimal improvement. personally i'd say if you can find a coif or something you should wear that instead of a helmet. when i'm maging i wear a wizardshat (lol, first time i saw that i thought it said wizard shat) with full metal armor for the rest, the 4 magic bonus instead of 1 is really noticeable believe it or not.

Runescape Classic Pking and Why It Was So Good
i suppose this is the best place to put this, i just saw someone who i assumed was an old player, they were named "clasic stake" and they were fighting the bandits or whatever they are at the entrance to the wildy part of the edgeville dungeon. they were level 37 with rune full helm, rune long, rune chain, some gloves, and rune legs. didn't notice what ammy. i'm only level 36, so i logged out fearing for my rsc character's life, although thinking ahead i brought my sword platebody and platelegs as my only equipment, besides sleepingbag and food of course. so i wouldn't have really lost anything.

Tip.It Forum Skin
2 problems really for me. #1 topics with new text are not bold, so you can't really tell that people have posted on a topic easily, but you know about this already. #2, i was copying a PM from a user and i was posting it into another post in another window, i typed the whole

need some advice
i'm not sure either, i've been doing magic in combination with combat at dark wizards, and i've not noticed my cmb going up any faster really. but i've not been paying much attention

How to start RuneScape Classic? Help
personally i say go with the dbaxe because all weapons have the same speed, just wear an ammy of accuracy or something to offset the accuracy and power of it, even them up a bit. as for chain vs plate, i have no clue, i never wore a rune plate in rsc, lol.

Combat Training
well, going with what meili said in a different thread, fight stuff lower than your combat level because you get exp per kill, not per damage like on rs2, so it's faster to kill weaker things if you just want faster exp. personally i've been hanging out at dark wizards south of varrock for a while, got 7 defence levels and 2 str levels there last time i logged in, as well as like 10 mage levels with only runes i got off drops and a few prayer levels from the bone drops.. so that is definately a good place to go. depends really what kind of food you have and such as well, personally i have salmon i fished myself as food, but i only carry like 5 on me at a time and i've not run out yet, i'm also like 31 cmb now though. do you mind if i add you on rs? we'll hang out on rsc and kill stuff sometime. as for your actual question, i was killing men at like level 5, barbarians at like level 14, skeletons at like level 18 or 19, then zombies at like level 23-24, then guards at like 26-29 or something around there. with my point up above (which was originally meili's point (giving credit where credit is due :D)) i do something with lower levels, if you want runes try the wizard tower or the dark wizards by draynor or south of varrock (beware the level 25 dark wizards, they kicked my [wagon] on my original rsc accounts many times) and then stay there for a while till you get bored with it, then depending on your level if you are around 25 or so, go for the skeletons in the sewers, at about 28-30 go for the zombies, 31-34ish start at the guards or something. broad scale of course, with many possible variances, but it's a totally suitable plan.

Why do developers keep doing this?
aren't i always attractive? also, i'm not interested in bioshock 2, so this part of the conversation doesn't mean much to me, i wasn't interested in the first bioshock really. escort missions don't bother me much.

Webcomics
well, back when i read misfile, i read it all in like 8 hours. that was almost a year ago i think, close to a year anyway, i'd say no more than a year + or - 3 months.

Why do developers keep doing this?
there are better ways than that, i mean come on. that takes forever.

Combat Training
personally for combat (i'm level 28 now) i did chickens and cows and goblins to start, then men, then barbarians, then skeletons and zombies in the varrock sewer, now i'm on guards. the loot from the zombies was the best so far, but nothing amazing, the skeletons had a ton of herb drops though (willing to sell to free up bank space too :D

headphones keep breaking after only a few weeks of usage?
Same thing also happened w/my first pair of headphones (apple ones that come w/ipod) 1. I don't blast them, I put them on Max when I'm mowing the law, but that's really not very loud considering the limits the ipod puts on it. 2. They are very expensive Headphones - MDR-EX700s 3. I do remove by ear not wire. oh hey look ouchy_s! he did mention what headphones he has all the way on the first page!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
What exactly is wrong with Spec Ops? They also purposely made no Coop for the campaign, because they wanted the storyline to fit, like in Cliffhanger, they tried two people w/ Soap, but that didn't feel like a stealth mission because it is much easier for one person to climb up a mountain and sneak through a base than two people going together, and the second player as Soap sure as hell didn't work for the story. What also is wrong with the multiplayer? Also, why does it being hyped make it worse for you? spec ops is not my style of gameplay at all. i understand how it appeals to some people, but not me, except for the snow race, but that was fun to do regardless of my time. honestly there is nothing wrong with it from a game standpoint, i just don't like things like that, to me it feels tacked on. i understand that they purposely did it, i just don't agree with it. the back of the case says "players 1-4 co-op 2 system link 2-18" etc etc. also for xbox live online multiplayer 2-18 co-op 2 to me, that means campaign co-op. i know technically it means if there is any co-op at all they can put it there, but i was highly disappointed anyway also, unless i'm [developmentally delayed]ed, you can't do splitscreen and online multiplayer, my friend and i tried and couldn't figure it out cause when we went to splitscreen it was just us 2, whereas xbox live wouldn't let him in the group. if you can correct me on this, by all means, do. it will actually make multiplayer more interesting to me, as it's always more fun to play with someone next to you rather than by yourself. the multiplayer annoys me. it seems like everyone gets cheap kills, especially with thermal, granted yes. i get what seems like cheap kills too, but it's not as satisfying as something else, i don't feel like there is any real skill involved half the time. yes there is skill needed, don't get me wrong, but half the time it just seems stupid and lucky shots. the hype doesn't make it worse for me, it just doesn't meet the expectations i had with the hype, and being as biased against modern warfare as i am (i didn't like the first one either really) i was expecting it to be a bleh experience. the experience i had with the game was basically "start the mission - bleh kill people - hide while healing - kill people - listen to chatter - kill people - kill people while listening to other chatter - finish mission" it just wasn't impressive save for a few woah moments. even the end was just bleh to me, especially the fact that so even that was lackluster. i can honestly say the only time i truly had fun in the campaign was the snowmobile race.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
i have never been impressed with a shooter's story, that i can remember at least. yes mw2 had some cool moments (snow mobiling, the boat at the end, etc) stuff like that is cool, overall i found mw2's campaign to be highly confusing as half the time i had no clue what the [bleep] was going on except i had to kill people. i was listening to the inbetween mission dialogue, and everything as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
believe it or not, i don't like this game. i don't like the multiplayer, i don't really like the single player, and i sure as hell don't like spec ops. my friend bought it and enjoys it, he was at work one day so i played it and beat it, played the online a bit and i think i'm done with it now. basically i had the same experience with cod4 as well except i paid for that game out of my own pocket, so that sucked. i honestly don't see what all the hype is about with this game as it hits far underneath it with my playing it. also, this game pissed me off before i even played it, there isn't a co-op campaign and spec ops is [cabbage]ty, that alone turned me away from the game considering the back of the box was misleading to me, i'm just glad i didn't pay for it. if anyone does catch me on multiplayer (those few of you with my gamertag) it'll only be because some of my irl friends are playing.

Cats
if i remember correctly you can, i believe people used to do it simply for the death runes as it was just a nice little easy boost to get some, whereas in rs2 it's easy to get death runes other ways.

How to start RuneScape Classic? Help
You still leveled combat first, which is exactly what I suggested. If you re-read, I actually suggested doing both skills and combat - and not stay level 3. IMO you shouldn't approach RSC from an RS2 perspective and pick up skills right away at level 3. You'll die from muggers and dark wizards when you try to bank. :P well, if you want to get technical i did woodcutting and firemaking first, i just didn't do much of it :D combat is definitely needed for most people during the start, personally i've never been attacked on the way to or from a bank yet, although i remembered my rsc days of dying from dark wizards and such :P

How to start RuneScape Classic? Help
rsc isn't necessarily more combat based, i just did combat till like level 10 then started mining and fishing and such. i did my mining and fishing goals first before i really started working on combat. also, i sold my smithed items to the specialized stores, swords to the swords store, etc etc, more money that way. i have 40 fishing 40 mining 33 smithing 35 cooking 30 attack 20 def and 24 str all in the first 6 days of rsc being open, anything i want to do in the game right now, i can do myself. i bought full mithril from the stores and my addy longsword from the stores too. it's all about how you play, you can do combat and then buy your stuff from other players, you won't make as much money imo that way though. i'm just trying to be self sufficient on rsc right now.

RSC Marketplace Thread: All trades go here.
not sure if double posting is allowed on this thread or not, but since it's pretty dead here i want people to notice i've posted again, so i'm bumping instead of editing. ii need a mithril kite shield, and i suppose an adamant kite shield as well, if anyone can make these for me i'll pay, we'll work out a price.

RSC Trial-Period Over
yeah, i'm totally enjoying this. i started from scratch on the 11th and i'm up to like 220overall, with almost 40 mining, 40 fishing, 35 cooking, and 28 smithing. i'm currently mining more ore so i can make full iron sets to sell, or just to sell stuff to the shops, then once i get those a bit more stable as far as income, i'll do combat.
