Why do people assume men always cry less?
i remember the last time i cried. it was just over a year ago when i had a whole [cabbage]ty situation with my now ex, and was suicidal. that's the only time i've cried in the past year. before that, i have no clue the last time i cried. control your emotions, the only emotions i show are happiness and anger and love. you've gotta get me really happy or really angry though. otherwise i'm mostly indifferent. even if i care about people and things are emotional, i don't cry, i'll tear up sometimes, but i never actually cry anymore. it's all about control and being a cynical hardass.

Cigarettes
http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/ ... 173222.htm So it seems the alternative isn't better if at all. the amounts of those are so small it doesn't matter. it is the better alternative. Nicotine itself is derived from tobacco, and thusly will contain very small trace amounts of the carcinogens, less than the nicotine patch/gum/whatever too. BS. you still have to be 18 to buy it because it's still considered a cigarette. more BS. the kiosk next to mine has the standard FDA smoking warning on them because that is currently the only control the FDA has over them. also, OMG FLAVORS APPEAL TO EVERYONE GOD DAMMIT. NOT JUST YOUNG PEOPLE. also, the FDA is being challenged by a ton of US doctors and stuff (don't have the article on me, not sure if it's online) to put out quantitative information about what they found, instead of saying "yeah we found them" because they'll be there in any nicotine product, just in lesser amounts depending on how pure the nicotine is. also, the kiosk next to me at work has a report from new zealand's equivalent of the FDA from a year or so about the e-cig. it deems them exactly as they are marketed, a healthier alternative. the FDA doesn't control everything, they just want the tax money from cigarettes. if they produce quantitative information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that e-cigs are bad, i'll eat my shoe and go back to regular cigarettes all the time. I can understand your point of view on this, thanks. But you would think that the electronic cigarettes companies would fight this, but they haven't. they are. the court date deciding the fate of the e-cigarette at least for the smoking everywhere company is decided on august 18th.

Addictions...
the state of mind that marijuana gives me is addicting, but i've not actually had weed for a while except recreationally with friends a few weeks ago. there is no better antidepressant if you ask me. cigarettes for stress, marijuana for depression. all the medicine i need. except for the occasional cold/flu medicine. :P

Cigarettes
personally, i'm a huge fan of the electronic cigarette. but when i'm stressed out, i love nothing more than a good old chemical ridden cigarette. it calms my nerves like nothing else that's legal. my dad has smoked for like 30-40 years, he's still alive and kicking without any major health problems. they'll most likely live to see you graduate high school just fine.

In response to your colonization of the California wasteland, I am sending 2000 troops to the Capital Wasteland, and I will start investing into a secret technology, and it's construction won't begin for several days. Also, on an unrelated note, I'll be in need of several hundred tons of steel. i believe i stated that the entire united states blew up killing everyone and leaving nothing. there is nothing to take. NOTHING. consider it worse than nuclear winter, because at least in nuclear winter there would be cockroaches and stuff.

Can that be changed to "The united states exploded suddenly, just after donating 500 billion to the world space program, killing everyone" no. the united states exploded killing everyone and burning all currency in the country, as well as all assets and research products, etc etc. also, i lol'd at how fast everyone is going "omg be realistic" "lol, it's been 5 years and i populated mars" is essentially what this seems like it's becoming to me. so i'm done, no help from me for anything. the united states is gone.

why the bloody hell is mexico infested with zombies? in light of receiving this information i've sent out information via TV and radio asking anyone with a will, desire, or ability to fight against the zombies in mexico to stand up and enlist in my army for a tenure of an unspecified amount of time until we rid mexico of the zombie menace and claim mexico as our own.

well, the united states has been busy working all day and has reviewed 12 pages of this thread. i've decided to reduce the number of troops waiting in the reserves, as i see no need for them, this will save the military some money that they can use to research better fuel economy for our large ships and airplanes. the research will allow us to have a better fuel economy for our commercial planes and boats as well. in a bit of a scientific update, we have developed an irrigation system that takes in rainfall, filters it, and stores it for use in case of some sort of an emergency that cuts normal power supplies in our cities. this is particularly advantageous to cities in desert areas, such as las vegas or phoenix. in an educational update, through aggressive campaigns to teenagers about how important finishing high school is, we have raised our graduation rates by 10%, we expect this number to keep growing. in a technological update, our technicians in silicon valley have been working to improve SSD (solid state drives) for laptops and mobile electronics. we have shrunken the size of them while still increasing their capacity. this makes portable electronics like ipods and laptops and mobile phones and such more resistant to information damage due to dropping and being clumsy. in a social update, we have sent party supplies to all major cities for the upcoming new year, which will in turn make more jobs for clean up duty, and increasing the morale of the average citizen, as everyone is invited to the megabash expected to take place. in an economical update, we have slightly lowered the federal tax rate that was used from worker's paychecks, leaving a small bit more money in the citizen's pockets on payday. the exact numbers depend on what you make and how much you work a week, but we believe that americans will celebrate a bit by maybe buying something they've been trying to save money for, and helping the economy by doing so.

you act as if we are hostile just because we are in an alliance. if the alliance with canada goes through, i personally don't plan to be violent against anyone, unless they show aggression towards me first. even if i'm not allied with anyone, i'm not gonna be an aggressor. too much work. on a side note, a team of researchers were attacked by their chimpanzee test subjects. the researchers were researching computer chips that allowed thoughts to be communicated wirelessly from person to person, animal to animal, etc. our only guess right now is the chimpanzees formed some sort of revolt via telepathic planning. all further research into this project has been halted.

i'd like to propose an alliance with canada, if it goes through i will make all "canada is america's hat" comments punishable with fines, then putting the fine money towards canadian charities. we can share resources and information, have our scientists coordinate with yours on stuff too.

woo i'm liked! i personally think it's because i haven't posted on this thread billions of times and when i do post it's always informative and such. all this military stuff from wikipedia seems useless to me, as there aren't any wars going on and it doesn't really matter. i'll be posting an update tomorrow about how this whole greener energy thing is working, we're close to a breakthrough.

i'm not aggressive against anyone right now really. no reason to be. we may have the power to crush countries, but that doesn't mean i'm gonna use it.

ok, so having read like 5 pages that got posted overnight and while i was at work (complete pain in the [wagon] btw) i've decided to do this: #1 drill alaska for more oil so i don't have to depend on other oil producing countries as much while i'm still working on developing alternatives to gasoline #2 i'll remove troops from germany as joe asked, if i have troops in your country ask and if you have a good enough reason to want them removed i'll go ahead and remove them #3 i'll go ahead with the alliance with albel_8492ed #4 i'd like to advance stem cell research in the united states, so i'm lifting all restrictions on stem cell research except for human cloning, that is still forbidden. the growth of organs for transplants and such are all allowed though.

well, alaska is part of the united states technically. i claimed the united states and i didn't segregate hawaii off like the dude did with hawaii.
