As the OP already stated, he has a torag plate. He can always sell it and get money back. That guy above you stat that granite is such as small upgrade that he should not spend money for... In this case, the difference between torag and guthans is even more trace. Btw, Guthans plate and torags plate has the same bonus with a smaller price tag. Actually the upgrade from rune to granite is pretty close to the upgrade from guthan's legs to torag's legs.

You know... guthans is cheaper... right? The leg's are also weaker, which is why many people use mismatched barrows pieces if they don't need the set effect.

If you can't make the paltry 200-300k to fix barrows after FIFTEEN HOURS of usage, then there is something seriously wrong. The food you would save and thus time you save from not having to bank as much would certainly make up for it, amongst other factors. Except guthans, the extra bonus barrows provide wont save you much food nor time than your average welfare amour... Think about void and fremmy helm+gplate+dskirt combo. And for guthans, you should only wear it when you need heals. Furthermore, a loss is a loss, the extra 200-300k per 15 hour can make a difference if he save it... it maybe the difference for him to upgrade w/e better amour / weapon he always wants faster.... Most people only use the plate and the legs. That's only 90k and 80k respectively if you DON'T use your own repair stand in your house, which reduces that. You could go kick chickens for that, it's nothing compared to the bonuses you get. EDIT: Just noticed Umoria doesn't have 55 construction, however I recommend that he/she gets it. If Umoria uses sacred clay hammers, it'd cost less than 250k to get 55 construction, without the hammers it's still under 500k. That's a flat fee to have cheaper barrows repair for life, which with his 61 smithing is about 30.5% cheaper costs. So if Umoria uses barrows plate and legs, it's just under 63k and 56k respectively. That's less than 119k per 15 hours. I never even let my barrows go below 50, most of the time if it's at 75 I'll swing by and repair it because it's such a small cost.

I've seen plenty of guides that suggest using void for some situations and most of the time don't use the mace, so I'm pretty sure you don't, or else void wouldn't have a good use.

Would my stats be good enough for that?

I do go to barrows here and there, but I use black sally so not the best mage xp, and then switch to whip for the tunnels, but it does give some variation.

Well I don't have much money (6m cash, and I'm not fond of selling items just to pay for something), so rock lobs is kind of out of my range. Plus, if you do slayer, you'll have almost no need of charms. I'd say look into non-combat magic, because without ancients, magic doesn't get much faster than 60k per hour (Combat). There are loads of ways to train magic outside of combat. I'd superheating until you can cast plank make. How much does superheating and plank make cost?

Why? You know I've never been to sure, but everyone that's given me advice on RC has said that. Considering it only holds 3 essence, it must be faster to not have to take the time to fill it, and then empty it.

Well magic has always been my favorite skill, but the cost has always been what's keeping me from getting it higher. I'm just curious, what are some of the best monsters to mage while profiting/breaking even/losing very little? And what is the mage xp/hr there? Thanks!

I haven't heard of any conclusions yet, but there's plenty of rumors out there. Some people think it's a new quest that'll be coming out, but since it happened in F2P as well, I doubt that. Although since it's happened in F2P and P2P, some people say it has to do with that new skill that's going to be both F2P and P2P.

Yes, use your best stat boosting prayers as well since there's an alter just up the ladder, so you don't have to worry about prayer pots or anything. Ok cool thank you now i just have to do the quests to get it XP haha oh well it's worth it The quest is definitely worth it, Armored Zombies are some of the best xp you can get with some profit on the side.

I just logged on and there's a big group talking about, a lot of people been saying their f2p friends have been getting it to, so they're thinking it's dealing with the new skill. True or not, I'm not sure, just letting you know what I've heard.

It's something Jagex has thrown in there just recently, there's like 10 threads about it right now...

If you do the quest for Armored Zombies (can't remember the quest, or if you have the levels required for it), but they're really good xp. You can also dharok monkey guards on ape atoll. Don't hunt for blue charms, it's a huge waste of time, go for chrims. I get Greater Demon's quite often for slayer, and they drop them pretty nicely, as well as Black Demons (seeing as how you can't kill dust devils or waterfiends yet).

I recall reading someone mentioning he made over 550+ stews without a single +6. So yes, it's worth the extra money for it.

It's going to be a lot faster to get the levels than to get the +6, as it's quite rare to get it.

I also want to use this to point out that I got from 71-75 range with approximately 2500-3000 chins at ape atoll dungeon (I hate range..I sped it up). It was from nearly base of 71 to base of 75.
