  1. Wow. You're still sticking with it. Good for you. It's been an incredibly long time. Or so it seems, at least. Good luck with that last level. I hope to be scaping soon again once it's summer.
  2. Dang man, whenever I quit and think the everybody's runescape phase is starting to fade, I get proven wrong. You're back on I see and working hard. I wish I had the time, but all the power to ya! I hope the musical went well and good luck with that 99 summoning!
  3. Psh, Xbox. Then again, I can empathize: I haven't been on for a good two weeks :(
  4. I don't think I've ever read a thread about no pking coming back, considering that Jagex immediately and explicitly stated that they will be developing more pking minigames and we already have several of them... So no, nobody failed. The only change here is that there will be freedom to choose and your reward will be based on the difficulty (like the old way, which is awesome and adds some real reason to participate). It allows pures and character build and strategy to come back. So that's cool... but let's just hope the rewards are adequate... which Jagex isn't so good at.
  5. Dude, I joined a day before you. I'm not saying I know you; I wished you good luck, but I was pointing out that you sound like you're trying WAY too hard to sound like you're superior to your own goals. "These are just nooby lol" then why don't you have them already? Once again, I hope you accomplish them and actually give them the respect they deserve.
  6. I really don't care about graphics: it's RuneScape, which has never been renowned for its graphics and yet has been popular nonetheless. I would love to see an updated bank interface with search and organization and such, but I chose updating old content in general because I like new ways to train skills and also new skills.
  7. Your goals are obviously not nooby. Quit acting like you're so superior to your own goals... Good luck nonetheless
  8. I will certainly check this out, but I doubt I will frequently use it. A) It'll overwork my computer and B) I'm too used to this interface. It looks a lot like a typical MMORPG, where you have to like reach across the screen to get to the important stuff. I like how everything is convenient right now. But we'll see... We got used to the RS2 interface in time.
  9. You're so near your goals, good luck man! Nice stats in general too. I'll keep checking this page. Having a 99 Summ/Def party?
  10. Good luck on your hefty goals. 99 Agility ain't going to be fast. Will you be using Super Energy Pots or just being all-natural?
  11. The skill is mediocre at best. Jagex managed to turn an awesome concept into a trudging mess of a system. They can't keep it simple; they had to add Charms and Shards and secondary items and Obelisks and Summoning Points and Scrolls. Ah! Why?!?!?!?! My biggest question, and I love it if someone could answer me, is Why don't we get experience for actually USING the skill? I mean, I feel like maybe they should continue to give such fast experience through Pouchmaking (yes I consider that fast exp) so people like me can continue to enjoy that. However, they claim summoning is profitable: no it's not. That's a huge lie, and they know it. But it would be profitable if we got Summoning experience to use the familiars. Therefore, with the addition of that experience to using them, people would BUY my Pouches and Scrolls and they'd get a bit slower experience along with monster drops, fun, variation, and Charm drops. I don't know, just what a big disappointment. I'm sick of appealing to Jagex and making excuses for them. They should be releasing good updates from the start. All they've done are sloppy updates lately (Duel Tournaments, Bounty Hunter, Summoning, Grand Exchange). What happened to the times when there would rarely be objection? They say they gave us a moneymaker, which is what we asked for; and thus they continue to lie to us. Summary: BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I should have expected it, though.
  12. That's awesome; I'm actually listen to Sun of Nothing right now while playing Runescape. They and Radiohead are great for Runescape.
  13. Haha, I know how that goes (with the pics). Mostly just because I ALWAYS take terrible pictures: even when I'm completely sober I look like I'm stoned in pictures... I don't know why... maybe I always look like that and just don't noticed :ohnoes: Ya, it's understandable. I'm terrible with games; I'll be obsessed one week, hear a comment from a friend about something, and somehow I'll connect it back to the game (almost always Runescape) and decide I really don't like the game very much. Then, 4 months later, voila. (My friends don't intentionally do that; in fact, I'm probably the only kid at my school who still remembers [from like 6th grade hehehe] that Runescape exists, let alone plays it.) Oh yeah, and if you haven't already, listen to Between the Buried and Me. Phenomenal.
  14. Haha oookayyyy, I believe you. Sleeping in strange places can either be really interesting & fun or really awkward & discomforting. Hopefully your experiences were the first one. Luckily my friend's house is always open to our friends (we call it the bro-zone and his car the bro-dozer hehehe, all use of the word "bro" is sarcastic, mind you). I'll watch for those pics ;)
  15. I think what he's getting at, everybody, is he is getting shwasted with his bros. Nah, just kidding. It's been like 3 weeks since I last checked these blogs, and of course you've managed to get 99 farming and some pics up. Nice rl pictures! (I don't know what else to say, being a guy, without being a bit creepy)
  16. Great guide, very uplifting and motivational. I absolutely agree with the music part; I always have new music coming in, because when working on a prolonged goal, I tend to relisten to the same CDs because I realize I had hardly listened to them. That's why I stick to shuffle now; it adds variety. Also, I second the getting out and doing something actually speeds you up: when, on my older character, I was going for 99 Mining, I focused way too much and ignored any social activities for a good month. I discovered I had hardly scraped the beginnings of getting 99 after all that, so I started going out and managing my time better, setting goals like in your post, and voila the exp rate (somehow) was in fact faster. I don't know what it is, but it's true. I like looking at Facebook and/or RS sites while doing a goal; there's so much information on RS fansites yet to be explored. Plus, Facebook is just a very uncommitting (is that a word?) site.
  17. I agree with everything except I don't understand how the trade update will rise the price of raw materials again (as if Yews aren't expensive enough--speaking of, I need to get woodcutting! Great money!). Sure, it will get rid of some bots who plan to RWT with the items--but it's still the same setup with random events so we will probably either have: More bots focused on actual selling, which will cause an influx of raw materials causing a continuing drop in the price, OR Same amount of bots and a continuing stabilization of the prices.
  18. I agree, to an extent. I absolutely believe that Miniclip has brought in a younger, more immature crowd. That demographic has grown due to this; however, so has the entire population of Runescape. I was only 11 or so when I first played Runescape, and although I was much more mature than the majority of the recent crowd, I was still young and looking for a fun, exciting game, rather than ... well, Runescape. In my experiences, though, even at my early days at the beginning of 2002, there has always been a formidable amount of obnoxious people: it is to be expected. Although MiniClip has only worsened this fault, I don't think even the fault necessarily caused Runescape 2 being "more childish" (even I once blamed Jagex for the same thing) or any of the other negative problems. As the population grows, all demographics will grow. That's all I got for you. :P To the Old Poet: I disagree. It's not like a generation has changed; there were still LOTS of children on the Internet in the early 21st century. Children have more access BECAUSE of Miniclip; they actually stay in the game because of Runescape 2's more vibrant, eccentric features.
  19. Lol? Runescape did once exist without the duel arena, you know?
  20. I know exactly how that goes; I'm the only remaining kid at my school after about 5 years. Except I've taken a LOT more breaks. I love your article/s on Runehead, you have amazing stats, and your blog rocks. Good luck on Farming, that's rough.
  21. I fear new games; we already have enough to do on Runescape. Only for 5 years? How about the rest of my life? That would be much better. Whatever, I don't need such constant updates. I'm far behind as it is, and it'll be nice to get rid of some of the people crowding Runescape. So I don't mind them making the games, but I can tell you one thing: I will not be playing these new games. Mechscape, if that ends up being one of the games, sounds ridiculously lame. And those graphics are soooo not Runescape haha. It looks more like World of Warcraft :P.
  22. It will be so convenient to the point that I have no pity for the merchants. It will greatly soothe selling/buying, especially since our current system of yelling and fighting to be noticed can be frustrating.
  23. Alas, some family issues and obligations have hindered my swift progress I nonetheless reached level 95 tonight, and plan to have 96 and halfway to 97 by Sunday! No school on Friday and free night (no plans) on Saturday! Wadduppppp.
  24. Wow! Awesome stats, absolutely phenomenal. So many 99s--and Crafting, Magic, and Hunter of all the skills?! I envy you :P But seriously, congrats on a well-rounded pwnage character.
