I think it needs to not auto close. Id like to alt-tab while playing, even tho I can resume fullscreen, I cant see my messages (which dont pop up for some reason when fullscreen is on) and its a pain and not even worth it to resume only to "guess" when the next message is and respond.

Perhaps if you modify openGL to not change your resolution of the screen, but the resolution of its window instead. Perhaps somewhere in the Java vars

Already happened. Not because of fullscreen. Most likely the fullscreen WILL be members only.

Hopefully this gets fixed, I like being able to use my AIM/MSN while playing :( IRC and stuff for everyone else

You know how annoying they would be if they did that? Lol I wouldn't expect many f2p afterwards. True. But, you know it might happen for fullscreen only...Once FTP gets HD, and the ability to play fullscreen, most of them will. That means no more adverts. How will FTP bring any income in?

Also Jagex is using links in game. Before, you could never click a link in the game that would open anything in your browser. Now, there are many. Trying to go HD on a free account will make blue text appear saying to go play the free version. Also ingame recoveries and unread messages have links to the main page. Ingame adverts anyone? Would make them impossible to avoid, at random times a popup window would appear for set amount of time inbetween your chatbox and the tabs (fullscreen only) but perhaps in the chatbox at other times?

Fail for not even trying to view the thread for other pictures, even if you didn't bother to try fixing the image yourself. In future, just right click the x, select properties, C&P the url there into your browser. You should be able to see it now, if you already haven't when sourcing it. Yep. You (not the quoter) fail because if you knew jack about Runescapes website, you would know by now that they dont allow anyone to link images directly off their page, as it ties up their bandwidth. Your brain is 404, fail.

How so? We didnt modify anything of Jagex's.

Daily update consists of... - A few fixes - New quest maybe - New items maybe - Some new content, at most a small map area. This update includes - Graphic re-do of the ENTIRE FRICKIN MAP - New clients (fullscreen support, not to mention re-do of the interfaces, game map integration, even changable resolutions!) - Updated models of every item in the game.

Nerd? Its common sense? New content = More Downloads More Downloads = Lag. You cant expect to go and download 5000 MP3s at the same time and expect them all to finish at the same speed. Same concept.

Dude the Runescape servers can handle this huge amount of players. There are like +150K players online every evening. So why couldn't the RS servers handle the job now? Because that was 150k players getting the same information, so nothing new was really downloaded. So, 'dude' the runescape servers now have 150k people downloading NEW content, VERY LARGE new content. Think before you open your mouth.

Oh, I dont know, half the runescape population has been waiting for this update and they are now trying to connect to see it first hand. Lag is a huge DUH!

They said in the last Dev diary they wouldnt make any ingame updates for the rest of the month, so, HOPEFULLY it comes out this week. Their youtube channel is spammed with "the 3rd" as the release date.

Why lie about when you started? Pk everywhere was removed before teutorial island was even added, and you could be a non pker and have no risk whatsoever. When i started, there was no teutorial at all, every one could pk anywhere and had an option to switch it on or off, armour had no level requirements, the strongest monster in the game was a black knight. I was killed by a very evil pker named wolf who ranged me from the lumbridge cabbage patch. What the hell are you talking about? PKing was removed X-Mas 2007, last year. Tutorial Island has been around ever since I can remember (5 Years of playing, only level 74. Never was a skiller). Now, if you're talking about random PKing, I never played Classic, but I have heard about Challenged PKing, where you challenge the person to fight, not attack... So, why even talk if you haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about? Anyway, when I started, it was a pretty fun experience, I liked finding the areas myself, and getting the newcomer maps over and again. I liked learning from my mistakes. Sure, I hated being scammed, but I learned and told others not to fall for it. I got to help...It was fun being respected by newbs who needed help. When they implemented the tutors, the bank, etc. I thought it was a good edition and made a new account to see what it was like to be new again...And realized the entire experience was gone. Everything was given to you. Weapons. Arrows. Runes. I remember coming off of tutorial island with 30 gp, a bronze sword, a wooden shield, and a bronze dagger, with some runes, and a big good luck from my friends who welcomed me to the game...Who also helped me. Now? None of that experience is there... I'm just thankful that I joined when the experience was alive. :) And I'll always miss those days. Thank you for allowing me to remember. There was a time before anywhere dueling where you could go any PK ANYONE at ANY place (except major cities I think) no matter what, however, this was removed.
