  2. It is proven by many trusted sources. And its a consensus among anyone who have researched it. Slayers slay because they enjoy it, or they are [developmentally delayed]es who don't understand efficiency.
  3. Well, I said Penance gloves are good too :P I used to put a line of food across the lure cave, but the problem is that its hard to lure them up. I decided to put it near the cannon to force them near food.
  4. Guide to Barbarian Assault By Pantim Barbarian Assault(BA) released the best chestplate at the time for offence. It was a major step up from rune, and more geared towards offence then Barrows. It was cheap, and didn't take long to get. Other desiarable rewards are the Penance Gloves, which reduce weight, and the Fighter Hat. Althought many dislike it, only playing it for the Fighter's Torso, it is a very fun minigame once you get the hang of it. You may not use a cape in Barbarian Assault, use Prayer, or any Ancient/Lunar Magic. Suggested Levels: Melee 80 Attack 80 Strength 70 Defence Range 70 Range 70 Defence Mage 75 Magic 70 Defence Barbarian Assault is located here. It is recommended to buy a Game Necklace, for fast transport there. Its also fairly cheap, more so then a teleport. Barbarian Assault is a game of teamwork, the Attacker, Defender, Collector, and Healer work together to squish the penance. A total of 10 waves are played, each wave getting tougher until Wave 10, the Queen Wave. Waves 1-9 are significantly different from Wave 10, and are seperate in this guide. Playing the Game If it is your first time here, go to Captain Cain for a short tutorial. Set your Auto-Retaliate off, and Accept Aid on. Go down the ladder and go to your Wave's room. You start at Wave one, and your progress is saved. Do not bother with the random team room. To make a team, get the scroll from the table. Use the scroll on someone to recruit them. To remove someone, use the scroll on someone, and click the "x" by their name. Exiting the room removes you from your group. You can turn "Accept Aid" off to stop people from spam inviting you. When playing, make sure to call ASAP. If you don't the role you are connected to cannot operate. The Horn of Glory allows you to call for everyone. Go there once your are done with your job to help with calling. During the game, you will have this interface on the top right hand of the screen. It tells you the calls, and tells you what to call. Be sure to call as soon as it updates, approximatly every 20 seconds. The first tells you of your Wave number, the second your call, next is what to call, and lastly it desplays your role. The room rougly a square. There are two cannon platforms, one penance runner cave, and alot of exit caves for the penance. A ladder will allow you to forfeit the game. There are runner traps on both sides of the room, although only one should be used. The exit caves for penance should not be blocked unless the group is getting overwhelmed. DO NOT block it for no reason. Do not block them for other roles unless you know they are in trouble. Use your role's despenser for good stuff that you need. The egg converter is there aswell. Points are given for doing your role correctly, and are deducted for errors. Shooting the cannon does not deduct points. Points value increase, as the wave number increase. There is a set number of points rewarded for Wave 10. After a win, you will get the breakdown screen. Waves 1-9 Attacker Suggested Melee Equipment: Pretty much anything can be used once you are 90 Atk and 90 Str, but these are basic guidelines. Fighter Hat>Nezzy>Barrows Fury>Glory>Str Bandos Chest>Fighter's Torso>Barrows Bandos Tassets>Barrows Dragonfire Sheild>Rune Defender> Obby Shield> Rune [bleep]eshield Barrows Gloves>Best RFC Gloves>Klank's Gauntlets/Cooking Dragon Boots>Bandos Boots>Best metal boots Warrior Ring=Berserker Ring Whip>Godsword>Barrows In addition, if you are 90 Atk, 90 Str, and 80 Defence, you can equip Penance clothing to show your skills. Void can be used if you have it. Ranger Suggested Range Equipment: Void should be used if possible. Robin>Ranger>Snakeskin Amulet of Ranging>Fury>Glory Armardyl Plate>Karils>Black Dragonhide Armardyl Leggings>Karils> Black Dagonhide Barrows Gloves>Best RFD Gloves Ranger Boots>Snakeskin Boots Archer Ring>Warrior Ring Dark Bow>Magic Shortbow>Seercul Range is not used much because you are restricted to bows. Crossbows, Crystal Bow, knives, and darts may NOT be used. Magic Suggested Magic Equipment: Void is best here. Ahrim's Hood>Mystic>Splitbark Fury>Glory>Amulet of Magic Ahrim's Robetop>Mystic>Splitbark Ahrim's Robe>Mystic.Splitbark Unholy Book>Book of Balance> Holy Book Barrows Gloves>Best RFD Gloves Mystic Boots>Splitbark Boots Seer's Ring Master's Wand>Ancient Staff>Best Wand NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY USE MODERN MAGIC IN BARBARIAN ASSAULT!!!!!!!!! It is HIGHLY suggested to be a Melee Attacker. Magic and Range are VERY weak due to restrictions. Range must use a normal bow, magic must be modern and elemental spells. Even if you have a high range and magic level, it is hard to get into a high level group. During the game, attackers have the simpliest job. They must kill the Penance Rangers and Fighters in traditional combat. You must use different attack styles(melee), arrows(range), or elemental spells(magic) in order to do damage to the penance creatures. Pulling the attacker vendor's lever will give your runes or arrows. It is highly suggested you pull it more then once if you are using Range or Magic. You WILL NOT have enough runes or arrows on one pull. Shoot runners and go to the Horn of Glory when you have killed all of the Penance Rangers and Fighters. Attackers gain points for killing creatures, and loose points for using the wrong attack. In addition to point loss, you will loose two health if you attack incorrectly. Defender Use a Excalibur for a slight defence boost. The Defender has the hardest job in Barbarian Assault, and is a hated role. Its much more complex the the other roles, and actually takes some skill. The defender should always go to the trap on the EAST side of the room. When you first enter the arena, pull the lever to get bait. Put some WRONG food(5) in a line between the two cannon platforms. This will force runners who are about to escape "up" the map, for you to bait. Bait is either correct or wrong depending on when you put it. Next, you want to put bait like the picture indicates in a "arc" from the caves to the trap. Make a line of food going ot the trap. Make sure you put CORRECT food all around the trap. Runners who eat CORRECT food in any sqaure besides or diagonal to the trap is killed. Using WRONG food will force runners to run "up" the map. Once you have empty space, go get a hammer and the two logs. Always fix the trap when it is broken, not at (1). It can kill two runners before breaking. If a runners breaks past your WRONG food line, shoot it with the cannon. YOU DO NOT LOOSE POINTS. Once all Runners are dead, go to the Horn of Glory. Collector Use an Excalibur for a slight defence boost. The collector has the easiest job in Barbarian Assault, besides calling, the collector does not have to do ANYTHING. You should still pick up eggs, or you will not get points. The collector should follow the attacker, and pick up eggs from those penance. After 20 seconds, go to the Runner trap. From now on you must go to the runner trap ever 15 seconds until all of the runners are dead and the eggs have been picked up. When you have a full inventory, load the cannon and proceed to the egg converter. Put your eggs in for them to be destroyed. THIS IS WHY HAVING LEVEL 2 COLLECTOR IS KEY TO BARBARIAN ASSAULT COLLECTING. You should have only 2/5 of your eggs. Destroy them on the way back. If you have higher Collector levels, less wil be destroyed. If you have level one collector, use mousekeys or manually destroy all of the eggs. Once you are satisfied, help the Defender if he is having problems defending. Check under other eggs for more eggs. They can stack ontop of each other. Cannon Interface Healer Use a Excalibur for a slight defence boost. The healer must keep his or her teammates alive, while poisioning the penance healers. Its the second hardest job. Stand off by pulling the Healer's lever. Fill up the vial, and run for the Penance Healers. Spam click the poison onto the penance healer to hurt it. If you run out of poision, go back for more. If any teammate gets less then 30 health, health them to full health. If you get low on health, drink from the pool. It will save the other healer a dose of healing. If both healers need heading, heal each other. When all Penance Healers are dead, heal your teammates before running to the Horn Of Glory. Shoot runners if the defender is having trouble. Healers get points for healing, aswell as killing Penance Healers. Wave 10 This wave is the "Queen Wave," and is the last wave. This room is completely different, and has various objects around the rim. There is only one cannon platform. During this wave, you get a set amount of points for killing the Queen. You DO NOT loose points, and cannot add to it. This means you can experiment if you do not recieve a call. Remember that the Omega egg should be passed swiftly without delay. Use CHAD(Collector-Healer-Attacker-Defender) to remined yourself. Note that the defender needs to pass the Omega egg back to the Collector for loading. The Attacker should pick up 12 mushroom [bleep]es, and attack as usual. Focus on the rangers first if possible. You may random guess the call if you don't get it, but MAKE SURE TO CALL. You will get the Omega egg from the HEALER, and pass it on to the DEFENDER. Use the [bleep]es on the egg. Stand near the healing pool when you are done. The Defender has a very easy role on this map. Put WRONG food in a line towards the middle from your trap(not within 5 squares of the trap). Simply litter the path from the runner cave to your trap. Get the logs and hammer. If a runner runs past your trap, drop a wrong food under it. You will get the Omega Egg from the ATTACKER, dip it on lava, then pass it on to the collector. Stand near the healing pool when you are done. The Collector should stay near the healing pool, and call. There is no need to pick up eggs unless the defender is messing up. You must get the Yellow egg from the Queen, and load the egg once you get the Omega egg from the DEFENDER. There should be two healers, but a experianced level 5 healer can easily solo. You should focus on killing the healers ASAP. If the queen comes out, one healer should stay and heal the group, while the other kills Penance Healers. The group healers should dip the egg in poision before passing it onto the ATTACKER. When the egg is ready to be fired, it is VITAL only one person goes to the platform. Click the cannon, and spam click the location of the button to fire the egg. The Queen's attack will close the interface, so keep trying. IF more then one person goes to the platform, they will cancle each other's interfaces, slowing the firing down. The healer should go as it can heal itself, but not if there is one healer. The Queen targets a player, but shoots everyone else. If the Queen is near you, and have high health(80+), you can run out and under the queen. It will stop shooting and spin around, giving you time to fire. The queen will change targets after a while, at which point you go to the pool. Do not stay once you are under 40 HP. When the little Penance spawns appear, everyone should do their best to kill them, expecially if they are on the cannon platform. If the shooter gets attacked by them, s/he must run back to the pool. You can't fire with so many things interrupting you. Do not wander from the pool, or hit stray ones. Rewards: The notable rewards are the Fighter's Torso and Penance Gloves. If you want to Gamble, you should only do the High Gamble, although the chance of getting something good is very slim. You'll get on average 30k-50k. The chance for a Dragon Chainbody is lower then Dust Devils, so if you want one go to Dusties or the KQ. The Fighter Hat is a cool alternative to the Warrior Helm, and the Penance Skirt is a cool, but worse alternative to Black Dragonhide. Tips and Tricks: Always bring your Attacking set, aswell as Excalibur. You never know what you'll be doing. On the early waves, settle for a group that knows what to do. Don't worry about your role until Wave 4. Until then point gain is low. It is generally accepted that two healers is best. Two healers is not needed for any Wave, however a solo healer must be level 4 or 5. You can have low level healers solo on waves 1-8. Do not underestimate low levels. Barbarian Assault requires skill, not HP. Having high health is good, but not if you don't have a brain. You will get into a good team if you have a full Penance set. Don't forget it if you have one. Golden Rule: Get along with your team. If your all neglecting to call, and not working together, leave the team. Even if you are high levels, a non-cooperating team will fail. Don't play the "you call first" game. Credits: Jagex for making Runescape. Me for taking all pictures, and research(lol). Random people in pics that I CBA to edit out. You for constructive criticism. The game "Soldat" that relieved my boredom. Mudkipz. Made me lol.
  5. If all your going to say is 'I think slayer is fun', then stop wasting your time. A discussion is supported by facts. Yeah, you can go ahead and rip the question, but dont waste our time. Quite frankly, nobody cares if you like slayer. Like troacctid said, if you don't give a crap, don't bother posting. In the end, it's a proven fact that slayer isin't the best exp, money, or source of charms,
  6. Since this is a game, it is the only argument that matters. Slayer is bad I win. Sound like a rediculous arguement right?
  7. Chinning is good like Zaaps said. You might not be able to make 400k per hour, but anyone with the teleport can, and its easy with skills. 91 RC gets you over 900k, not to mention other methods like Avansies, GWD, and if you are good PKing, and Duel Tournaments. I would definatly add exp/hour. If you dont, its hard to know what method is best for you. Poorer players would want to stick with cheap arrows, while richer players can use more costly but faster methods.
  8. You are confusing "right" with "allowed"
  9. According to most people the average AVERAGE is 1 mill an hour. Assuming high stats. According to who? What boss? Stats and equipment? Its hard to average since the drop chances are low and prices are high. You can't average GWD because of the variables. You WON'T make money on all trips. You WON'T make 1m an hour. But you might get the drop, inflating the result.
  10. 1.) You train several skills at once, with decent to good exp/h rates. 2.) You will profit, as combat skills are one of the few that require very little to start (equipment). 3.) Charms. Screw bursting Lobs. Slayer ftw. Fundamental errors. 1. It is faster to train one skill at a time if the EXP is roughly equal. Would you rather train on controlled or Attack, Str, then Def? 2. Just no. Sorry. 3. Depends on monster. What is efficient is the question. Having 99-99 is going to make melee training very simple. Also, slayer isin't a "combat" skill, and you get HP from othe sources, notably range. Money. If you wanted that don't slay. Any gathering skill or RC gets more money. Charms. Depends on monster, but it is more efficient to burst/wfiends then rely on slayer. In the end, it is all preference. I liked slayer for a bit, but there is very little variety if you get it up. In the end, its just a circle. It might be fun the first time. Or the second, but by the 100th repetitive task, I don't think you'll love it as much. Also, "i enjoy" is not an arguement.
  11. Is it just me or are all of the pics broken?
  12. Thats actually a good point...
  13. However they do not appear to have a system that does this. Detecting this with a program is actually pretty hard. It can't tell the difference between screen spinning and simply moving. Since things move by itself, there is no way it can tell. Thats why most(or all) people don't get caught. Anyways, I'm going to play around with it. See if it actually works.
  14. 1. Things normally dumped in general shops would instead put them on the G.E, forcing the price of random items e.g. steel helms, down Incorrect. It would cause the price to go up. How much of steel bars are made into steel helms? Less then 0.1%. Steel helm prices will INCREASE dramatically. The price of steelbars>steel helm. People would buy helms until the price of helms was the same as bars. 2. These items would be bought by scrap'ers forcing the value up Exactly! 3. The bars made from these items would return to the G.E forcing bar prices down. Exp>Bars/Items 4. Players that normally bought bars for the quick smithing levels, seeing the drop in price would buy more bars. Bars will not fall to "item" prices. The "bar worth" of items will equal bars. 5. After these high net-worth players return the bars, as items. G.E. Prices drop as they sell at min. price. Who actually buys steel helms? 6. Which allows scrap'ers to buy more items for less money Your points contradict themselves...Plus some are incorrect.
  15. The top tier items are worth more because there is nothing better. Look at Classic. Rune was worth hundreds of mill. It eventually went down as supply increased and dragon was introduced. Plus, like others said, looks>stats.
  16. Its a place to train combat...pretty spart spot since nobody actually knows you can train there. I know for a fact it keeps you logged in during combat(atleast) since I've seen them do it. They've gotten around 4m EXP(each) and no detection. Granted the area is not watched by Jagex. I would think this is detectable, but the anti hack they have might not deal with this. Since the mouse doesn't move, detecting mouse click locations won't work. Scanning processes won't yield anything since nothing is running. Just wanted to be sure. Already got 2 bans for Macroing, even though Mousekeys is allowed.
  17. Screen Spinning is a trick where you put a weight or something on the left or right arrow key to prevent your character from auto logging out. [] [is this] a bannable offense(Macroing)?
  18. So thats it? Nothing else? Above post was just pathetic. I'm not even going to comment. Better luck next time. Peace.
  19. My answers will be in bold. Alright, obviously I can't get "evidence" for this, because theres no way I'm gonna go make an obby mauler and make a regular pure and then somehow have them fight each other and record every hit etc. I'm just telling you this info from personal experience. Dodged the question. Like I've said 3 times now, If you feel that you can't get someones health down enough, then the ranged/obby maul is a good option. In the examples you gave, the obby maulers ranged level was 2 less than range/2h pure (also the maulers hp would be way more but I'm not gonna bother with that). That means that they're going to both be getting each others health down at the same rate. Then you hit a 20 with your maul while they hit a 15 with their 2h. I would definatly go with the 40 attack on 1 def hitting 15 then 5 attack on 1 def hitting 20. You want to see an example of a popular pure that I can beat? Alright. Ranged/2h: Stats- 40 attack, 42 strength, 50 ranged, 44 hitpoints (38 combat). Obby Mauler: Stats- 5 attack, 60 strength, 50 ranged, 52 hitpoints (37 combat) I want to note that wit Tip.It calc, the R/2h is only lvl 37. It can gain 6 levels of range before lvl 38. Also according to the calc those stats provided is level 38 for the mauler. Ok, obviously both are 1 defense. So it's safe to say that each will be hitting each other with around the same damage with ranged. Now the only difference is the KO. The mauler can hit a whopping 27 with their maul (this is according to the tip.it calculator, and I'd say its a bit off, from personal experience. I recall max hit at 60 strength being 24, but whatever). Now the mauler only has to do about 20 damage to get to a chance of a ko (thats saying the max hit is 24). Meanwhile, the Ranged/2h pure has to do 36 damage to get to a chance of a ko (max hit is 16 with cb brace, r2h, str ammy, potted.). Now, I know what you're going to say, "just because they're below 24 hp doesn't mean that you're automatically going to ko them". Well, first of all, thats where poison and recoil helps a lot. Once again, obviously you can't time this and make it happen, but it DOES happen A LOT. Say they're at 30 hp. You hit 2 quick 5's with your knives. They're down to 20 hp. At the same time, a 6 from poison hits them. Now 14 hp. You whip out your maul, and its an easy ko. Sure, theoretically that can happen. But what are the chances that on the exact 30 second since you applied poison, you hit 2 quick 5s. Then they attack you, instead of eating. And about poison. You can't know if you poison them until you see the posion damage. Thats 30 seconds until you see that. If you do wait, then you are probably going to be almost out of food, as you claim how accurate and high damage range can do. If you just go for the kill, then you don't know if they are posioned. Counting on it is folly. Now, I know what you're going to say again, "your low attack isn't going to hit them, its gonna hit 0's all the time". Well, I can tell you from personal experience this isn't true, ESPECIALLY with 5 attack. With 1 attack, sure, you do miss a lot. I had a mauler at 1 attack for a while and I would definitely miss some ko's sometimes (but I'd just eventually kill them later on in the fight). Then I got 5 attack, and my pking improved quite a bit. Like I've said, I found that I would frequently get a couple 20+ hits in a row. You probably won't believe me considering I've already told you this 3 times and you still think im some [developmentally delayed] idiot, but if you have someone at 14 hp, its VERY EASY to ko them. Trust me, you'd be surprised how much you actually hit. Lets also take a look at the stats of an obby maul vs. a r2h. A r2h (slash weapon) has +69 slash attack. An obby maul (crushing weapon) has +80 crush attack. So, 11 more attack bonus. This obviously isn't going to be as much of a difference as 5 to 40 attack, but it does help. And quite honestly, hitting someone with 1 defense is easy as pie. I don't have any evidence, but just from experience and common sense, theres probably not going to be much difference in the amount of times you hit someone with 1 defense if you have 40 attack or 20 attack. Sure, there will be a difference with 5 attack and 40 attack, but 5 attack against 1 defense really isn't that bad. I know, I know, I don't have any evidence, blah blah blah. I don't care. I know this is true, I've used it loads of times, and 5 attack against 1 defense with an obby maul really isn't that bad. You hit A LOT more than you think you would. Do you know what attack and defense levels do? Attack increases your chance to hit. Defense decreases the chance to hit. A low defense does not, in any way, make it easier for you to hit. It simply does not make it harder. In any case 40 Attack>5 Attack. I've made a defense pure with 5 attack. I know how accurate it is. You also make a comment about how you can eat a couple sharks in between fights. You clearly don't have much low level pking experience. First of all, at lvl 30, most people don't use sharks. ESPECIALLY if you say that most pkers there are balanced pkers (not true), which means they're probably poor low level mains. The most common food is probably monkifish (heal 16), or lobster (heal 12). True, theres a lot of time in between hits to eat, but when I was mauling, where I would hit someone down to 5 hp, they'd eat back up, then I'd hit them right back to 10 hp before they could attack me again. This could go on for 3-4 rounds sometimes. Then, a lot of times, after their recoil has done some damage to you, they say "screw it" and try to attack you and kill you, not bothering to eat 1 more food, and then you get a ko. Ok. Maybe they don't all use sharks. Monkfish is fine. Second, YOU claimed 99% of players that level have 1 defnse. I have NEVER said(Quote me if you think thats not true) that most people that level are balanced. So lets say they use monks. At 5 hp, they can eat 2 times before your next maul. You would have to constantly hit in the high 20s. Even 1 miss is a failed kill. With sharks it won't even be close. You also can't count of people saying "screw it". No good PKer will actually do that. You also seem to think that most "pkers" at level 30 have defense. Once again, you clearly don't have much experience low level pking. When I was mauling, MAYBE in 1 in 20 fights there would be someone with defense. And, like I've said before, they would either be defense pures (no reason in ever fighting), or low level mains with maybe 10-20 defense and awful gear (chainbodys, square shields, etc.). Theres no reason to ever fight a defense pure, because you will never win. As for the low level mains, well, if your a ranged/2h mauler you can easily just own them with ranged, or if your a melee mauler you can just poke them with your dagger until they go away (If you have 5 attack, you WILL hit them. Just not that much, but it's better damage than they will do to you, I can almost guarantee it). Or, you can just do the smart thing and leave. Any low level main isn't going to be risking 26k anyways, so theres no reason to fight them. Most PKers at lvl 30 have defense. Your claim of 5% of lvl 30s being "balanced" is complete and utter BS. I WILL go to any PK world hotspot with you. and we can see how many are balanced and how many are pures. You seem to think that most people pking at lvl 30 defense are "balanced players". This isn't true... like, at all. I would say with confidence that around 80-90% of pkers at lvl 30 are pures. The other portion is just low level mains with awful food, awful equipment, and that are just out there for kicks, because they want to see what the wilderness is like. ^comment. And so what if in that video he just shows you the KO's. He obviously got their HP down SOMEHOW, didn't he? He just didn't want to have a 20 minute long video with slow fights until the KO. And plus, theres plenty of parts in that video where you see him using darts to get their hp down. Ya, that isn't exactly the best video since he is 99 strength, but he still has 1 attack, and he still hits huge hits on people A LOT. Not to mention he has a ton of HP. There. Take a look at that video, about 1 minute in, you see what I mean about the recoil damage and maul hits hitting at the same time. This video really shows how with 5 attack you can hit A LOT, and how the poison and recoil damage really help. He has 5 attack, 60 strength, 1 defense, and 42 ranged. Basically almost the exact same stats as an obby mauler that I just explained. You will also notice that he's fighting almost all pures. Because, well he's not an idiot and doesn't fight people with defense, and most of the people pking at lvl 30 are pures. Yeah, and I can make a vid where I only take the parts where I hit 0s. If you really hate obby maulers so much then you can leave, because this obviously isn't the right place for you. Sure, I don't have all this evidence that obby maulers can kill every single type of pker. Who cares? This is a guide on obby maulers, you don't have to make one if you don't want to. I'm just giving info based on my experience with obby maulers (which I'd say that I have a lot of). And this comes back to my point of there are very little Obby Maul PKers because they can't kill many types of pures. And where did I say I hate obby maulers(Quote me)? Back in the staking days seeing the nice wins of Obby Maulers was very amusing. And, can you pull out a peice of factual evidence besides "obby maulers suck"? That's what I thought. (don't mean to be pissy, but you tell me to give evidence when you don't give any) I'm sorry, but have you actually read my posts? I have posted stats, factual details about weapons, real scenarios, etc. Until this post your response was all theorteical or outright lying.
  20. Expecially in a busy time of day...
  21. I've seen that vid, he is much higher level then 35. You can see how he always PKs balanced, not many pures. Notice how he never shows us the fights, just the KO? I'll leave you to ponder that. Can you pull out a piece of factual evidence besides "you fail at PKing"? Thinking you will get someoen down to 20HP at 1-5 attack, then dismissing someone with 35 more attack levels is quite ignorant. 99% of lvl 30 PKers with 1 def is simply false. Are you saying almost ALL lvl 30s are pures? Thats just wrong. Sure, PURES at level 35 might have 1 def, but balance do not. If you want to stay away from balance players, then you are going to loose against every other kind of pure. Can you even show me one example of a popular pure that you can beat? Sure, ok, you can win against a [developmentally delayed]ed PKer. Ok. Thats fine. But do you honestly expect that your opponant won't have a recoil? Thats besides the fact that a rune2h, at 60 str, has a Max hit of 21. Sure, maybe you can claim you always hit 20s+(BS btw), and rarely miss(We arn't [developmentally delayed]ed), but you can eat 2 sharks in the time you hit that 20. Good luck with that. If you actually use the maul to attack normally, then that just shows inexperiance. A MSB or Rune C Bow will easily outdamage your Topaz Machete or dagger. So once again, can you find some actual evidence? Theoretical or lying really doesn't do much for you.
  22. Its probably the angle. Why not take a picture of the side view? Probably just a trick anyways. EDIT: Just checked, in both the random event and game, the pole thing in it DOES do beyond the actual axe.
  23. A 25-25-20 with 23 HP is level 27. Anyways... At level 25, all "balance" players have defense. If you wanna fight a pure, you will fail miserably. A obby maul pure can't even face up to a range pure at that level. Your theory of getting people's HP down is unreliable. You have to do 10 damage with dagger, get attacked 2 times, AND get it on the exact second of poison, time the attack perfectly to get the "easy k0". Food if their friend. Now, a range obby mauler might have stats like 60 Str, 53 range, and 40 HP. Thats level 35. Compare to a range/2h k0er. 40-42-55. 40 HP Or a balance player. 32-32-20 with 40 HP. In all of these cases, the other person would win. Food is a critical enemy of Obby Maul pures. Sure, you might be able to outdamage them, but if they are consistantly hitting 5-10 on you, which is very easy considering you have 1 defence and almost no armor, you will have a very hard time actually attacking. You will be doing damage to the pure, but their damage will far outdamage your MSB or knives, due to their slight advantage in levels. Their KO is much more reliable(40 attack vs 1). The balance player will be doing low damage, but their defense is going to be a serious problem, minimizing your damage, while pretty much driving you out of food. Now, these are not exact stats, but according to the Tip.it calculator, these are all level 35. If you want to counter this, then please support with factual evidence, of levels or players and stats.
  24. Its clearly a battleaxe. You can kinda see the shape because it is not a perfect top view.
  25. There are no obby maulers on BH worlds anymore. Lets compare 2 level 35s. 1-60-1 with 60 Hp 25-25-20 with 60 HP With 1 in other stats, both are around 35(+- 1) Now, the problem is the 25-25 is going to be CONSISTANTLY hitting on the Obby Mauler. If they used Steel Scim, they will be consistantly hitting 5-10 on you. The obby mauler is going to have to eat and hit. The problem is the maul is too slow. Sure, you might pull off a 20-35 hit, but you can easily heal through that. You can eat 2 sharks before another maul. That leaves you with the option of using something like a Topaz Machete, without any attack requirement. You would be missing alot, but some 10+ hits. Although hard to kill, it is possible to get lucky, get them below 30, and surprise switch mmaul for KO. That is very hard, and unlikely, which is why there are no more Obby Maul pures. The damage is unstable, but it follows the theme of inconsistant, sudden damage. A dagger is also a option. It instead relies on poison, rather then actual damage delt by swings. This can be a good or bad thing. For one, your K0 chance is pretty much every 30 seconds, when poison happens. If you can get a good hit, then maybe maul will k0. The damage is more steady, but a fight with a mauler really won't be long. The mauler has to k0 quick or run, as they take high damage. If you are doing this, consider having a timer that repeats on every 30 seconds. Recoil is very useful, but to be honest the 1-2 damage is not going to be able to do much. The chance you actually red bar the enemy is pretty low. The damage you are going to take is really going to waste more of your time and food. Obby maul pures can easily win in a no armour or food environment, as their damage is inconsistant, a single hit will probably do 1/3 to 1/2 their health.
