Games you're looking forward to
I've given up on my Wii. I haven't completed a game on there (not named Guitar Hero or Rock Band) in forever. I was thinking about buying a 360, but I think I'll wait for the new console whenever that comes out. (Damn recession...)

So after having 2 dry Spiritual Mage tasks, I was sure that I'd get at least 1 on my next one. I wasn't expecting 4! [hide=Combo Breaker!] [/hide] Lol.

Thank you so much. :-D I've been training it kinda fast. I also don't think I made an official announcement here that I was going for 99. Thanks! <3: A quick level-up from the herbs I got from MTK.

Book of Eli
This is how I saw it. [hide]In the time after the apocalypse, the lack of government/order caused total and utter chaos to break loose and reign. Crimes that would have been punished now go without so much as a second glance. The Church has been, since its inception, a source of moral stability for believers and in some cases (I'm tempted to say many), it was the basis for the set of laws that govern the country. The Bible in this case being the physical symbol of the law. (Whether you believe in a God or not, it's hard to question the impact that religions have had on the world as a whole) With all of the Bibles believed to be destroyed, there was no way for the same stability to be established again. This is where Eli comes in. His journey was to protect the last remaining chance at stability and order for the human race and bring it to a place where it could be used for good. So basically, the Bible is order. Eli brings order into the chaotic world. (Christ figure) The fact that he was blind is a symbol of his faith in his journey and in his God. (As well as a solution to the main plot conflict) The same can be said for most religious histories. I think Christianity is easily interchangeable with other religions in the sense.[/hide]

What's Your Apparent Profession?
Well, I'm the pastor of a Fundamentalist Baptist Church. It's odd, because while I'm not Baptist, my grandfather was a Baptist minister. I also get a few Linkedln profiles and a link to my family tree website.

[Devblog] 18-Jan-2010 - A 2009 Retrospective
Lots of repetition and nothing too surprising here. I don't think this was necessarily meant to be an information giver, but instead more of a filler article.

Book of Eli
I saw it last night and thought it was really good. The religious symbolism was present, but it wasn't so over the top that it became solely a religious movie. Having just gone through a class called "The Gospel According to Pop Culture", I can see this as being a movie that we would watch in that class. Eli being the Christ figure. As for the violence, I think it added to the movie far more than it took away. Like Das said, the angles of the first fight scene were great.

Do you use slang words/phrases?
I was thinking cola. Really? Well, I usually hear soda. That was really just a guess. Everything other than pop sounds foreign to me since I grew up saying it.

Do you use slang words/phrases?
I have to wonder what this "other" name used around Boston is...Probably soda with an accent or something. I don't use a wicked lot of slang. Or do I? (Is "rotary" really not used that much elsewhere?) I was thinking cola.

Do you use slang words/phrases?
I love the confusion caused by pop/soda. I was in Philadelphia once and asked a waiter what kind of "pop" they had. She had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently it's a regional thing, so I guess "pop" is slang. Another regional slang is asking "please?" when you want someone to repeat what they said or when you didn't hear them. EDIT: I found a picture of the distribution of people who use pop/soda/coke green - pop blue - soda red - coke pink - other

LOST: The Final Season
Having to deal with you leading up to this premiere is going to be fun. I'm excited for it. There really isn't anything great on television right now. (ever since I gave up on Heroes) Having a definite ending to the story this season is an added bonus. I hate when shows drag themselves out until everyone loses interest--->get canceled. For that, I applaud LOST's writers.
