  1. [cabbage], thats quite a list. Didn't realise we came up with Ghillie suits first. Better than all those medicinal/engineering inventions though, the Grand Theft Auto games were developed by Rockstar North here as well.

I've not got a car at the minute, with Uni and all, but i'm gonna start looking for one for the summer soon. Not after anything special, just enough to get me around for the summer. A 106 or a Saxo or something similar. Depends how much the insurance company decides to shaft me for.

There's stuff over here called "Spice" or something, that supposedly gives the same effects as weed but is legal. I think it's similar to the chemical Skatepank mentioned, basically just pot pourris sprayed with whatever chemical. Wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole. So basically they took an illegal substance and put some harmful chemicals on it, and legalized it? That makes sense. Not at all. This is what pot pourris is. Nothing illegal about it. It's used to fragrance rooms and stuff. Reading this article however, it seems that the government here has caught on to it ("Spice", not pot pourris) and it's facing a ban.

I'm not sure if i've had a lucid dream before when i was younger. I remember having sets of dreams when i stayed at my Gran's house and choosing to fly out the window and about the neighbourhood but i'm not sure if it was a legit lucid dream. I'm quite interested in the concept and will give it a go at some point but i need my sleep at the minute and the prospect of night terrors and sleep paralysis brought on by lucid dreaming is not something i fancy right now.
  6. I used to sweat quite a lot. Dunno if it was just a phase or whatever but i've noticed i'm not sweating as much anymore. Another weird thing i noticed was when i was on holiday in Greece, where it was roasting hot compared to the UK, i barely sweated at all whereas in the UK, i sweated a lot more even though it was colder.
  7. From the looks of things, £100 for the train, possibly more, haven't looked into services like MegaBus though - they're usually reasonable. That - plus the event's ticket cost and perhaps the need for accommodation somewhere depending on how long it lasts is definitely not something I can fork out as a student! ;) Pretty sure Megabus is the cheapest way to get to London from Scotland. I think they had a Glasgow to London journey for a pound or something a few years back as some kind of promotion. Either way, still cheaper than the train. It's quite a good idea i think but i won't be going.
  8. Haha. I used to completely hide under the covers when i was younger. I'd put my head between the two pillows and have a little bit where i could peek out. Peeking out always scared the [cabbage] outta me, always thought there'd be something standing over me. It used to get warm pretty quick hiding under the covers so when i wanted to come out to cool down i'd jump out real quick and hit the light, to take any monsters or whatever by surprise. I still don't really like going to the toilet during the night though. In my parents house, the bathroom is directly at the top of the stairs, with our inside front door at the bottom. There's always the orange glow from the streetlights outside which creates creepy as [bleep] shadows. I always look behind me right before i shut the toilet door, half expecting to see something at the foot of the staircase. Heh, gave myself goosebumps typing that out.

Had a middle aged man in a suit approach me on my way home tonight asking if i knew where he could buy weed. "Here son, do you know where i could buy a half Q of grass, i ken whit you students are like haha". "Heh, nah mate, can't help you there..." *shuffle away* Really didn't look the type, suppose all walks of life are into it nowadays though. A friend has done Salvia (not sure what strenght) and Shrooms a few times. Heard conflicting stories from folk about both so i'm kinda on the fence at the minute. Every thing i've heard concerning Salvia/Shrooms/LSD has recomended having someone sober to sit in on your trip. It's not something i know a whole lot about but i'd say it would be a good idea to have someone "experienced" to sit in on it.
  10. Haha, i do both these. Also checking behind the shower curtain whenever i go into the bathroom. It's nice to be paranoid.
  11. I've got a pair of Phillips in-ear bud headphones which have lasted me ages, got them August last year and used them pretty much daily. Black version of these. Can pick them (or similar ones) up for under £20 in HMV or someplace like that. I used Skullcandy in-ear earphones before that but wouldn't recommed them too highly. I used them daily and they didn't seem to last very long before the connection loosened and one of the earphones cut out completely. Sennheiser as well. I'd recommend the CX300's. Again, they're in-ear buds with pretty good sound quality. A bit dearer than the Phillips ones but not much. Also, i'm not entirely sure how compatable any of these are with your remote thing. Knowing apple, it'll probably only be compatable with their headphones lol.
  12. One thing thats useful, which i kept doing without thinking when i went back to play a few games of MW2, is spotting the enemy before shooting them. All it takes is a split second to hit the back button before you fire. This puts a red icon above their head and lets your team know the location of that enemy for a few seconds. If you don't manage to kill them you'll still get a spot bonus when someone does. Some of the game types are a lot slower paced than MW2. If you're a Medic or Assault class, leave medic packs/ammo boxes along main areas where your squad are. Keep everyone topped up on health/ammo. Another medic thing, if you see your squad mate get killed, kill the enemy that shot him before reviving him. Sounds like common sense, but theres sooo many folks that revive you without killing the threat first. Make sure theres no immediate threats as sometimes it's better to just respawn back at the base, avoids unnessecary deaths. Also, use your squad mates as spawn points. Using a recon guy close to or behind the enemy base is a really good way of getting into the action quick.
  13. Im the epitome of procrastination at the minute. I have four exams next week and have barely touched the revision books. Should be at the library now, to be honest.
  14. I second this, quite an interesting take on gaming addiction. Anyway, props to the OP for recognizing the problem and taking action. The subject of gaming addiction has been debated countless times on here before and i can't really be bothered typing out my views on it. Well done to the OP for managing to quit.
  15. For weed? Nah. Trolling internet forums though...25 to life son.
  16. I found the MG36 to be the best, but i reckon thats just personal preference more than anything. Can't wait for these changes to hit 360.
  17. It really isn't that big a deal over here. I'm sure there were some people doing something for it but some of the dorm buildings stink of weed permanantly so it's hard to tell.

All the parties i've been to have been BYO. Don't think i've been to a single one where the folks throwing the party supplied all the drink. There's been whip-arounds for money for more drink, like £5-10 from each person, but thats only when the drink everyone brought has started to run dry.
  19. Not last night but Saturday night/Sunday morning. Had a dream that was like a continuation of my night. Had been out to a pub/club with a bunch of friends etc before hand. In the dream, everyone that came out with us was in it but they all had weird costumes, friends girlfriend was dressed as a traffic warden and another friend was dressed like a caveman for example but no-one seemed to bother. When i went to the bar to get a drink, it was the other way round. I gave the barmaid a bottle of beer and she gave me money in return and i instantly felt a bit more tipsy. When it came time for the club to shut, the DJ stood above his decks and blew into a kazoo which put the lights on and everyone ran out, for some reason. One of the weirdest dreams i've had.

Been going through a phase of watching a ton of documentaries recently, not all drug related but these two are well worth a watch. Grass The Union

Back at Uni for the next few weeks, exam period. I'm waiting for the "fear" to set in as i have currently done next to no revision and my first exam is in 6 days. I reckon i'm gonna be reaquainting myself with the library for the rest of the week.

Haha so did i. I remember asking my gran if she could remember when they invented colour.
  23. Playing rush on Valparaiso today, went 46-11. One of my best games yet i'd say. Done it all with the AN-94 but i unlocked the M16 so i'll start using that now. Only got the MG3 to unlock on the medic class then im gonna start on the Engineer.
  24. Been playing more rush than usual. Particularly enjoy Valparaiso and Islo Innocentes (sp?). Got one of my best kills ever today. Managed to no-scope the gunner out of a moving Blackhawk. A minute later managed a sniper shot within an inch of the pilots head as well... <_< Was also second/third place throughout a game of rush on Laguna Fresa (i think, the jungle one) without going anywhere near an M-Com station. Was controlling the UAV, spotting and taking out enemies for my team. Done surprisingly well.
