  1. also good for dks and fight caves and several other things
  2. you could always just pc the prayer to pc can get boring tho...i suggest get 200-300 points then find something else to do (maybe do a few slayer tasks or earn a little money) then go back to it and take breaks, if not pc will wear you down (or atleast it does me) but i would do pc for most of it anyway.
  3. for a mage....defiantly
  4. for exp: willows for a combination of money and exp: yews
  5. you will not beat him meleeing try to range him with magic protect on and across from the thing in the middle, as anything else will most likely result in u dieing.
  6. i would go buy 1k iron for 100k and 2k coal for 360k, smith 1k steel bars, and make cannon balls from that 1k steel bars( 4k cannonballs) then sell them for 150 or 200 ea 100k + 360k is 460k starting cash 4k cannonballs is (150 ea) 600k 4k cannonballs is (200 ea) 800k 600k (150ea) - 460k would be 140k profit w/ 63,100 smith exp 800k (200ea) - 460k would be 340k profit w/ 63,100 smith exp some numbers for you ;)
  7. also maybe getting your range equal to your magic, as that will only increase your comb lvl if you get any hp lvls. another form of attack can be a useful thing when pking.
  8. can't you just pick it up in the lumby swamps...if so that would defiantly be the fastest yet the most boring
  9. it will be rune then also, ya got it backwards.....i was going to do all besides the monkey one cause it is to much agility training for me ><
  10. if you can't afford 1.43mill, buy as many as you can afford and work your way up...its simple.
  11. again it won't save money, he can just go resell them and get his money right back..... and tele tabs take up a spot, while the glory doesn't (as you can equip it) plus, for most people who go all the way to buy 26 glories....1.4mill is pocket change (you can make millions in a day if you wanted to, but i ain't got the patience for it)
  12. ok, i plan on doing the rfd sub quest up to the monkey one...simply cause i refuse to go to 48 agility cause i am to lazy. what gloves will i be able to get? i think it is rune but not sure.
  13. actually if training, go with a d mace or d long special....as you don't get exp for poison it will slow down your exp
  14. thats a 15mill diff.....this is 300k.....much bigger difference i would go with obby shield if no rune defender.
  15. most items have a minimum they will sell for...including hard leather armors and prob reg leather to.
  16. fire giants would take a LOAD of food... i personally like trolls as they have pretty decent drops, never crowded (ever) and don't hit to high or often.... when i was training melee on them i would average atleast 3 ranarrs per load(about 19k)....and they drop nats often enough that you can high alc all wep/arm drops and still leave with more then you began with. the big bones are decent for prayer and about the food i usually brought 5 of the potatoes from the warriors guild (before i had trollheim tele and was banking then walking from warriors guild using a games necklace) and had to eat food when i had 3 hp from max to pick up items... also another thing about them now...if i'm not mistaken they now drop long and curved bones which can now be traded for cash and free construct exp, which is always a good thing i would atleast give them a try for 1 or 2 loads...
  17. looks like you are to me :-w
  18. nope....dds spec 4 times max hit would be able to hit almost 300....both anchor specials can only hit up to 90.....i would stick with the dds...you would only have to average about 11 on a dds to do 90 dmg with your specials ><. also, the poison can be a great bonus in long fights....
  19. actually there is a little slower but profitable way if you have some starting out cash...... Buy iron 100 ea and coal 180 ea, 1k iron and 2k coal at a time. (total of 460k) of course you can adjust prices and buy cheaper, but will take longer in market..... Go and smith 1k steel bars, and then sell the bars anywhere from 500-600 ea (usually about 570ea tho). this will get you great exp and money.
  20. i went from bronze to 2 rune defenders on mith without anything ever breaking, it barely ever hit me. The people that was killing rune usually killed only one for my 2 or 3....meaning i was getting tokens way faster than he/she was....also mith will do much less dmg then rune will...
  21. if you going cheap....350ea..... if you want some quick....usually 400-450ea
  22. prayer book is mostly used as a shield for mages/rangers than it is for a warrior except for pures who don't have the defense for anything else.
  23. ring of life only saves you if you fall below 10% of your max health...of course if you die without going below that 10% (like what happened to you) then you won't get saved. as far as his max hit...i think it is 27 or so.... tough break on the items. and i wouldn't give up on it, as barrows can be very fun, profitable, and just about only combat way to make money and decent gain magic exp.
  24. ok, i was wondering how exactly does karils and ahrims armour work. Is it 15 hours of you casting spells/ranging or is it 15 hours of taking damage? or is it just having it on(which i don't think it is)..... and does anyone know how it calculates? like does it just count the time when the guy is doing the visible part of the spell, or does it also include the part where he just sits there and waits the time limit out (5 seconds or whatever) thanks for any help
