i was looking at going to fight him maybe with a friend. My question is can mages be effective against him and could it be profitable? break even? or lose money? anyone got any exp on this?

i think you need a god cape and god staff equipped to cast charge and you can't have two diff god cape/staff on ( like zammy cape w/ guthix staff)

personally air craft runes till 44 rc if you need money. This way you can craft a couple 1k of nats and have money for when your a member. Also plan on what you want to do. Most member skills take some kind of f2p items so stack up on that item quest-do fishing contest, lost city, priest in peril, and really any quest you want to do.

also, the tokens are never wasted as the cyclops are decent exp and you can have more than 1 rune defender

i wouldn't try maging it unless you have 80+ mage, as the demon isn't weak to mage at all, try ranging if you have over 40(thats what lvl mine was when i ranged him...)

i'm sure you could do that in world 16, but might have to go through a couple of runners.

tough one....but prices are about the same and nats are a lot easier to sell then laws are...you might want to just switch it up every so often to keep from getting bored till 91, then of course nats all the way.

i suggest using dueling rings with glorys to save some dueling rings as glorys are free teles and you can resell them.....this is of course making fires.

that, like has been explained many times, is because all of the barrow brothers beside ahrim has one of the lowest mage lvls in the game, it works with any spell if you try the melee dk also has kinda low mage so you might hit good anyway, but personally i would have nothing below 0 against him.

i thought it was just my lag on my comp but mine has been doing that to. when the prayer icon is on it doesn't work an when the icon isn't on it does work....it was doing it to me at barrows earlier....anyone else experienced this?

buy 1k iron ores and 2k coal ores. Make you 1k steel bars and sell. you get good exp and make money ( 100k + 360k = 460k 550k-460k= 90k profit.)

you would make a 9202 profit per run, so your answer is yes.

minotaurs in the SOS as they drop a lot of arrows, you will prob come out with more then you went in with.

Ok, i have been thinking, and i am about to work my levels up to where i can do the higher lvl monsters (kqs, dks, and things like that) Setup 1 God spell mage: go to 80 mage w/ alcing go to 80 def @PC or rock crabs or experiments Get full ahrims w/ god staff and cape mystic gloves and boots Set 2 Veracs meleeing Get to 80 att, 85 str, and 80 def at pc/rock crabs/experiments full veracs w/ rune gloves (will not finish rfd anytime soon..i hate agility) and boots and obby cape Set 3 Guthans meleeing same thing as set 2 but with Veracs Now i do want to say i will be doing all of these, but going to get 1 first then work on others later. money isn't much of an issue, as i will just go cut some mages and make nats for money if needed. any suggestions?

i'm sure they will go up to about 3.3 mill and down to 3mill or so, you won't get much diff from that for it tho.

you can kill all outside of chest room, but i suggest some kind of melee armor because the tunnel monsters do have a chance of doing good dmg to you while you are running around.

learn to do something else..including wc, merchanting, or maybe mining iron....coal is slow.

i would prob go with the d legs and buy a g pl8 and buy the fury and ranger set as ,like you said, dragon just isn't what it use to be
