  1. Miniclip obviously made more people sign up and that has affected Runescape quite a bit.
  2. If mining is so much easier, I wonder why your fishing is much higher than your mining. But then, of course, there's the factor of whether you like one of those skills more than the other. The thing is, mining is much harder than fishing/woodcutting. Even if you don't afk those skills, you can still talk to the other people around you to keep yourself from becoming bored with the skill. And with mining, as someone said earlier, it's just you and your pickaxe. You're constantly clicking with mining and that makes it hard (at least for me) to also type messages to my friends. And then dropping your ores is just a one way ticket to carpel-tunnel-ville. Anyways, here is my list. The Skills 01.) Slayer 02.) Runecrafting 03.) Farming 04.) Summoning 05.) Agility 06.) Mining 07.) Fishing 08.) Woodcutting 09.) Hitpoints 10.) Defence 11.) Attack 12.) Strength 13.) Prayer 14.) Herblore 15.) Smithing 16.) Crafting 17.) Range 18.) Magic 19.) Construction 20.) Thieving 21.) Firemaking 22.) Fletching 23.) Cooking The Reasons* 01.) Slayer is just slow and unbuyable. There is a lot of patience involved. 02.) Quite profitable, but slow. ZMI made it faster, but still the skill is extremely slow. 03.) I respect Farming because it tells me you are smart enough to know how profitable farming really is. 04.) Charms are a pain in the neck to obtain. Burst your rock lobsters and fight your waterfiends if you must. 05.) Why don't I just put a hammer to my fingers now and save myself some time? 06.) Powermining just bores the hell out of me and if you can put up with that all the way to 99... You sir, are better than me. 07.) Fishing, although afkable, is boring. 08.) Woodcutting, although afkable, is boring. 09.) Hitpoints give you 1.33 xp per damage point you do while... 10.) ...Defence gives you 4 xp per damage point. 11.) ...Attack gives you 4 xp per damage point. 12.) ...Strength gives you 4 xp per damage point. 13.) Prayer is buyable. But same reason as Agility. 14.) Expensive. 15.) Expensive. 16.) Expensive. 17.) Chinchompas, albeit expensive, make it too quick. 18.) Many ways to get 99 and many are quick as long as you have the money to burn. 19.) If you have the money, Construction will take you 4-5 days to get to 99. 20.) Pyramid Plunder. 21.) Cheap and slow or expensive and fast. Whatever. 22.) Way too many people have it. 23.) Way too many people have it. I got lazy on the reasons part. Oh well. *I am entitled to my own opinions and whether or not you agree, flaming and insulting me will do nothing.
  3. I know Jagex would never do it considering how unfair it would make the game. And I sure as hell would not want this to happen. I know I'd be tempted to do it and if I did it would just ruin the game for me.
  4. My homepage is the default firefox google start page. I'm too lazy to change it.
  5. Really? Because I'm pretty sure that Java isn't on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Unless someone ported it into a jiggy application, which I highly doubt, you can't play Runescape on the iPhone/iPod Touch (yet). -.-
  6. I don't believe anyone has found me yet. But I've been wrong before...
  7. That's probably the best guess. We only see the words in the textbox. For all we know it could be the little girl that the BTS talks about as said before. I was really hoping for a miniquest with another ghostly robes/shadow sword as a reward. Tbh, this quest sounds like another one of those quests that you do within 20 minutes and forget by the next day. I really hope I'm wrong.
  8. [hide=Grand Exchange Trapdoor] *cough* Grand Exchange trapdoor *cough* I bet it's just a decoration to the graveyard. *cough* The eastern lands, the elf city *cough* Been way longer than GE trapdoor *cough* [/hide] The trapdoor is to the Bandit's camp that you need to go to during What Lies Below quest. :wall:
  9. You have to enter your date of birth and what country you live in.
  10. Good, Barrows was already easy enough. The only time you needed safespots was when you had Dharok in the tunnels. And there were already safespots there.
  11. Works just fine for me. I'm running Vista too.
  12. And then on a range or fire? Don't you need heat for that to work?
  13. That would be great! Ancient magicks came out over three years ago I believe. (Is that when Desert Treasure was released? April '05?) If it was updated, I wonder what kind of spells we would get? More combat spells? There wouldn't be any skill related spells since it is a combat spellbook and we have Lunar Magic for skills anyways. If your speculation is correct, this is very exciting. I love all the quests that have storylines that need finishing up.
  14. I always get my levels myself and see the xp from a quest as an added bonus.
  15. 200M in every skill is a bit extreme. I think 99 in everything would suffice.
  16. I wasn't talking about damage/second. You didn't understand my point. You make a good point as well, but that isn't the idea I was trying to portray. All I'm saying is that Herblore isn't directly involved with combat like Summoning is.
  17. EXACTLY, it's something that HELPS. Like potions. Let's run with that potion example for a moment here. Let's imagine a world in which you needed the appropriate herblore level to DRINK a potion. If you can't make that super set, you can't use one in a fight. Would it be fair in this case if herblore didn't affect combat level? Wouldn't a level 110 unpotted be DECIMATED by a level 110 using a super set and a prayer potion? Yes. If summoning is like potions, but they need a level (in this case summoning) to use, doesn't it make sense that it raises combat? And if you're going to argue that familiars don't help at all in combat, go fight somebody with a steel titan and see what you think afterwards. But, Herblore indirectly affects combat as in it raises a combat stat which then decides on what you may or may not hit. Summoning directly affects it as in your familiar does damage on it's own accord. The difference is a subtle one, but a difference nonetheless.
  18. I don't understand why it matters that someone is a higher combat level after they trained a combat skill. Summoning is a combat skill whether you like it or not. You may get those ego driven noobs that believe that they are superior because of a few combat levels from Summoning. On the other hand, you'll have equally as many (if not more) people that are mature about it and don't think they are superior than others. You can't base a person's personality off of their combat level as has been proven many times before. No matter if a person has trained summoning or not, they are still that ego driven maniac or the calm mature player at the end of the day. Why don't you let people play the game how they want to play the game. Honestly, if people want to train Summoning then they may do that. If people don't want to train it, then that's fine too. I'm sorry that people don't play the game under your definition of how the game should be played. Note: Not directing this at anyone in particular. It's just my way of getting a point across.
  19. I am still adjusting to them. I dislike how the avatar is above the usernames along with how wide that area is. The smilies are fine in my opinion. Diferent, yes, but all in all I don't mind them. And I believe I will like the new forums much, much more when we have a few skins to choose from.
  20. Already been mentioned and it was a while back.
  21. wait wait wait wait, you said PVP? summoning? i doubt they'll involve player vs player with it! They mentioned in the development diary that it would be player vs. player. I definitely remember them saying something about "No summoning duels". Therefore, player vs. player summoning. Its for dueling. They said that they will include the "No Summoning" option in duels. Also duels is a duel, Duel Arena. if it was pking, they would had said "No Summoning fights". Then tell me why they would implement a "Protect from Summoning prayer"? To only use in duels? I doubt it.
