You'd actually be suprised at the level of excrement that studies have found on keyboards, mice, door handles and such. Just because it doesn't come out of their hands does not mean that there still isn't trace elements, even if they do wash their hands. You'd be living in a dream world if you think everything is sterile. I wouldn't be surprised, I've heard about such studies.
