What if...Official Purchasable Content/Resources
No. As much as I'd like it, then it would become richest irl = richest ingame. Not cool. And the economy would be in the crapper, too. Maybe for certain new nontradeables, but thats it...

reset? i don't think so.
No. 'Nuff said. Maybe make an extra server or two for new characters only, but if they reset all the accounts, everyone would be pissed off, and everyone would be trying to make accounts named 'Zezima'...

Oh, you know what's funny?
The reason most members want f2p to not get many updates is because... *Gasp* They don't pay for the updates... And don't give the all the [cabbage] about the ads, either, they barely pay for F2p. And as for members coming to f2p just to 'CALL PPL N00BS', those are mainly middle-range players who have low self-esteem... Sorry, but f2pers are incredibly lucky that they actually get to play as much of the game as they do, for free, and for as long as they want. Most games have a 10/20 day free trial, then you have to pay or leave. Just be happy JaGEx hasn't gone public, then F2p would probably be dissolved by the stockholders as 'unprofitable'...

Thoughts
2004 was almost as bad as it is now. I joined up around January '04, (Yes, I WAS underage at the time :P ) missed the chicken (D'oh!), Missed the scythes, (D'oh again ), and was scammed out of all my stuff early in my RS career by the guy who showed me RS. Then I got the yo-yo, ditched the loser(Who later quit), and kept playing. At about the point when I was about to do Dslayer, maybe in early '05, I quit for quite a time. I rejoined later, kept playing, and didn't really notice any difference. I quit again, and then started up again, still on this account. Still not much difference. The only real difference is in the numbers of autoers these days. I remember before I quit the first time, some guy tried to pull a switch between mith and rune plates on me. The next seller tried the same thing. Eventually, I finished drag slayer and bought one from the shop. About a year ago, some guy scammed me out of 90k. Maybe 8 months ago, so guy scammed a rune scimmy from me. Scamming only really lowered with the recent trade update... Like I said before, not much noticeable difference. The only real change is the one that makes everyone glorify Classic; memories fade and past experiences seem greater when compared to the problems of the present.

Dang You Report Button
Just hope you get modded... :| Then you can report them all you want.
-
People just don't get the difference...
This is something along the lines of rant #1,269,452 about the word 'noob', if you're counting the RSOF... Same response as every other time; Noob is a word used to describe anything/anyone the user doesn't like. 'Nuff said.

Parents,8year olds, and swearing
Who d'you think wrecked f2p? Thats right, little 8-year-olds. I mean, what happened to the age limit? But anyways, these [developmentally delayed]ed little spoiled brats see a game like RS, so they go and start a character, lieing about their age, and they play for an hour or two until they get bored. They then go around begging for 'pHr33 m0n3y pl00x bc4ues t0 g3t m3 a r00n sk1mmy!11!!', then they try to scam people by selling 'rare' black shrimp for 1m... , then they find out about goldbuying, so the go to their parents, get them to buy some gold, and then they get a keylogger, and they get hacked. When they get their account back, they're throwing a temper tantrum, and then their parents catch them swearing/seeing someone else swear, and they sent indignate messages to JaGEx, taxing the already overworked CS staff. Get the message kiddies, and all you moronic parents too; [bleep] OFF! Go play Barney's Island adventure ya little [puncture]s! The only reasons we need a censor are A: To keep the lil' brats from swearing every other word, and B: To keep everyone else from swearing every other word because of the little idiots with IQs lower than their ages...

recent rants
What a stupid post, Take some one with a 2100+ skill total like s1acker or zezima, then take 100,000 people with a skill total under 500, try find one of those 100,000 people who has more in game knowlege then the higher lvl.. Saying that skill total does not indicate game knowlege is [developmentally delayed]. Lvls = game experience, game experience is gained through playing the game, whilst playing the game you pick up knowlege. Sure you can read the kb all day every day, that doesnt mean your going to be able to solo gwd at lvl 70 or go get a fire cape first try. Sick of all this [cabbage] saying lvls mean nothing, as much as you pollitically correct wannabies would like to think otherwise LVLS DO INDICATE GAME KNOWLEGE. And it takes a certain ammount of intelligence to be able to properly plan and map out your skills to max them all out in the fastest most efficient ways possible. Just try and say otherwise.. All of that is perfectly logical, unless, of course, the person is a pc product/bought their account... But yeah, a person who has been what would've been called 'adventurer' class in Classic up to lvl 90-100+ will probably know more about the game than someone who is low-leveled, and on their first character, unless that person is a longtime merchant with no stats to speak of. Yes, the KB and guides make it possible for anyone to have a ton of knowledge about the game, but very few people actually bother to wade through all that information, and there are still aspects of the game that pretty much REQUIRE some playing experience to know and master, as in the prayer glitch, which most people know isn't a bug, it just keeps your prayer from draining while not in combat, or how to glitch thrones in POHs(I think they removed that, though :( ), or what the best spots to stand in to kill certain monsters are, or how to switch perfectly to spec someone in the wilderness. So essentially, although somewhat inaccurate, stats typically do tend to equal knowledge of the game. Not intelligence, mind you, knowledge of the game.

Why can't F2P have...?
That second one is good, although they don't flat-out ignore the reports. Yeah, more bankspace for f2p would be nice. As for the reports, they don't ignore them, this is just how the line to pass through the auto-report-scanner goes: Mod reports>P2P reports>F2p Reports.

Hill giants are way too strong
 If I can kill 30+ moss giants without banking on my lvl 22 ranger, you can kill a few hill giants...(No safespots, to head off your flames at the pass... :P )

Being called 'def nub'
Anything that keeps these morons from taking your stuff = You (Insert defensive action here[As in; eating, high def, prayer]) noob! Personally, I've found that high def = Dead dds pures... Especially when they box stake me at the duel arena.... :D

What would you do if YOU were incharge of Rs for a day?
Give all my characters 100 of every rare and 1b cash... I'd probably just go around banning people/autoers with a souped-up mod account...(Obviously, only people that are actually breaking rules...)

A RuneScape Community Viewpoint (read 1st post. Seriously)
The definiton of 'noob' has become so slippery these days; it basically means: Anyone/anything the user of said word doesn't like/agree with.

runescape is polluted
Old news. The ignore list is a very good friend, as long as you aren't using it as a notepad like me... :? There's always going to be the nasty side of the internet, just ignore people like that/Dm them and get a vid of them dieing/teleing/running and post it all over the forums.

Grrrrr! finally found a fun thing and noobs ruin it!
*sigh* i think you proved his point by bringing out the whole "i have a life so i'm not a high level" thing. +1. I'm lvl 97, and I've got a perfectly normal life. And I could easily call you a noob because I got killed by someone whilst navigating your maze with the enemy flag. Get over yourself.

Dogs in Varock=NOT ANIMAL ABUSE
Really? People who cry about 'anee1m4L aB00s3rz' on a pixelated Java game are either stupid or attention trolls... Save the dogs? Scr-w the dogs.
-
Trying new things is bad, M'kay?
The ignore list is your friend :) Seriously, though, just ignore people like that. Or kill them. Essentially, low self esteem = rudeness.

Why does everyone hate................pures and pc....?
Short version for all you people with short attention spans: Pures are, for the most part, arrogant and rude.(Yes, some exceptions, I know, don't flame me.) Pc products are people who have played for maybe 4 or 6 months and are lvl 100-120+... And they still have the maturity level of your average lvl 50. But hey, at least they provide plenty of loot for the REAL players when they try to pk... Long version: Pures; characters with low combat levels who hit incredibly high, the people that dominate the lvl 40-80 range of the wilderness. Their power alone provokes envy from non-pures, as well as many people who made pures that aren't any good. Added to that, a large percentage of pures, maybe 75-80% are incredibly rude, and try to force everyone else into their moronic, restrictive code of 'honor', which essentially says that 'you cannot do ANYTHING to prevent me from killing you. If your hpoints are low, do not eat, if I am using a dds special, do not eat, do not have a high defence level for any reason, if your life is seriously endangered, do not for any reason use prayer or teleport spells, because doing any of those things could make it harder for me to take your items'. Note that it's mainly the pures who can't pk well that try to impose these rules on others. Hmm, I wonder why everyone hates pures? Yes, I know that some pures are polite, but most of them aren't. Pc products: You take an average adventurer, let's say his name is Bob, now Bob is just a normal guy, he plays a few hours every day, and bit by bit, he slowly levels up, until after years of work, pleasure, and experience, Bob has finally become a level 126, with all his stats in the 90s. Bob is a happy, mature, contributing member of the Runescape community. Let's take a look at another player now, his name is Bill. Now, Bill is a bit more demanding than Bob, he wants everything NOWNOWNOW. So he spends several agonizing( ) weeks getting to 40 combat, then he gets members, and heads straight for PC. After 6 months pcing for 8+ hours a day, Bill is level 126, but with almost no stats besides combat stats. Bill is still immature and rude, in other words, a 'noob'. Now Bill has a lot of money from all that pcing, so he goes and buys supplies, does a few quests, and gets a few certain skills up as quickly as possible. Bill now has ancients, full ahrims, a mage book, a master wand, a fury ammy, drag boots, an Armadyl godsword, and an obby cape.(All bought) Bill takes his 'ownage' stuff and account, and heads into the wilderness for the first time, and sees Bob. Bill attacks Bob, shouting numerous insults around the censor. With his years of experience, Bob quickly kills Bill, taking all of his items. Bill puzzles for a few minutes, then figures out how to pm. He quickly spams Bob with unfiltered insults. Bob reports Bill and rolls his eyes. A day later, Bill tries to log on, but finds that his account has been banned. In a fit of rage, Bill smashes his computer, and goes to cry in his bed. The End. Point Taken?

RuneScape on Miniclip, Jagex's worst decision ever?
 That is NOT true, jagex does care about their players, if they didn't they wouldn't personally deal with autoers, read ban appeals(not automated), and give us holidays.(they don't have to, but they want to) Also, Jagex spends most of its profits on server maintenance, bills, employee paychecks, and much more NON-PROFIT things. Ban appeals ARE automated. Jagex does NOT care abouts its players. Did you hear the other guy? The are a lucrative, money based, money driven company that uses mini clip solely for money only and allows MC to host RuneScape only cause Jagex knows they'll be making a ton of money from it. Exactly. Apparently Profit>Consumer Enjoyability.(If thats a real word :P ) Anyone else see the thread here about the guy who got banned for Rule 1, and appealed with something along the lines of "OMG JAGEX J00 N00BS UNBARNME 0R i coMMit suic1d3!!111!"... and got unbanned. He had a screenshot that was unaltered. There IS an automated appeal-scanner, it searches for keywords like 'suicide', probably to avoid another scandal about some guy who suicided because he got hacked/banned... Miniclip is a haven of small children, and small children = Noobs. Most of them are stuck in f2p because they aren't completely spoiled, hence the bad name f2p has.
