  1. :o I finally met someone else who collects spinach rolls! Yeah, it sucks, but you can still get them from crystal keys, randoms, and some drops.. But tbh, is it really that hard to understand that a rolled up piece of spinach isn't worth 1m gold coins?! If you actually fall for that, you almost deserve it...Yet another way to pamper small children...
  2. *Sighs* Why do we still let these depressed egomaniacal emo guys get anywhere near drugs and guns? Seriously, wtf? Too bad he didn't get Dubya... Actually, on second thought, isn't 'President Cheney' one of the signs of the apocalypse?
  3. I have numerous copies of 'The Zombie Survivial Guide' planted around my home, as well as a small arsenal of military-grade weapons in the bunker I own in the Rocky Mountains. I own an armored car, which currently resides in my garage, and is always fueled and stocked with enough food and ammunition for a week of fast travel. :P
  4. There was inflation before the GE. All the GE does is keep it from speeding up, because of the market-price bounds that keep prices in the same general range. Enough with the theorys about how the latest update will cause the economy to collapse...I'll believe it when it happens.
  5. Exactly. Just like 'all athletes are morons' and 'All politicians are corrupt'. Incidentally, some stereotypes happen to be true...
  6. People insult anyone they don't like. It's human nature, you can't avoid it. As for staking, once you reach a certain point, it really is just the lucky roll of the pixels.. My solution for the people who hate/adore you for being rich: The legends cape is your friend.
  7. Its basically a tossup between a larger block of hp to keep your stuff safe v being low enough to mine rune without people being able to kill you.. It's really your choice, but what you level can't be undone.. Personally, I'd go with staying at lvl 3, but always carrying a few pieces of high-healing food, so that if something DOES attack you, you'll still have enough time to run to safety.
  8. 10/10. Simply put, this trumps every vid I've ever seen. You use music that hasn't been put in half the vids out there, you use effects well, and the constant high kos are amazing. =D>
  9. Air staff. Had it since lvl 21..
  10. I understand perfectly; for me, theres' nothing like some pking and punk rock to take the edge off of my emotions.. Tbh, if I didn't play RS I'd spend (more) time reading sf, discussing the merits of different political and moral philosophys or sleeping... Runescape really is a great release. Certainly better than pot, killing animals with guns, or bottling up all your bad emotions until one day you finally snap and slaughter a few dozen people... To those 'it's just a game'-ers, look at it this way: Games are basically an interactive, visual form of stories. They bring enjoyment and emotional release, which really isn't a bad thing.
  11. A green drag area in the wildy, f2p only, with an entry system designed to fool bots? That and more bankspace...
  12. It might not have been an 8 year old... It could have been a pc product who hasn't learned social skills, or maybe the guy is an [wagon] in real life, too.. I've had too many encounters with morons to do much more than click chat to friends anymore...
  13. Even if this IS true; why the 12k/hour limit?(Thats 3k/15minutes, for some of you..) Seriously, even a 50k/15 minute limit would have probably been accepted, and even if this IS true, how many people actually do it? Is it too hard to accept that stakers may keep a pile of cash in reserve to build back up if they get cleaned? And really, wouldn't it be simpler for JaGEx to either sell gold for lower prices or have the goldselling sites shut down and file tons of lawsuits against their owners for copywrite infringement?(All the items coded into Runescape are the property of JaGEx Ltd; therefore any person selling them for cash is stealing property and infringing on the copywrites concerning Runescript, the Java language used to code RS. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but use legit proof.)
  14. Tbh they just need to either sell gold at better prices than goldfarmers, or they'll have to find a way to shut down the sites. If they destroy RS to get rid of goldfarmers, they'll be doing the same thing, metaphorically, as shooting a child to get rid of it's cold. Basically, they ruined staking in a completely futile attempt to hinder RWTing. It's not really that hard for RWTers to tell someone to come to a certain spot at a certain time, recieve their payment, drop the gold/items and have the buyer pick it up. Whats next, getting rid of the 'drop' option? Getting rid of non-GE trading? Destroying the wilderness? Because thats what the Bounty Hunter game will set up, once they have that, they can kill the wildy because 'RWTers' supposedly let buyers kill them to get the items or gold purchased. If it gets to the point where all player interactions are restricted, I'm quitting. After all, there's always Oblivion...
  15. America is full in one sense; it's full of mindless, idiotic drones who obey the top 1%. (Keep in mind, I'm American. Don't flame me for telling it like it is.) On topic: No, we still have tons of wildlife preserves, national parks and forests, and plenty of useless desert to build overpriced suburban houses and condos on.[/sarcasm] Take away all the golf courses from the rich. You end up with thousands of acres of good land, AND you get rid of a snobby, elitist sport that wastes materials and land. Basically, the typical American attitude toward immigrants, illegal or no, 'They tuk our joorbs!' I think it is truly amazing how noone seems to realize that every single person in the world is an immigrant, or a descendant of an immigrant, with the exception of the few people who may live in that small valley where human life first arose. Personally, I'd love to trade 10 million of our lazy, undereducated, fat bigots for 10 million immigrants who want to have jobs and go to school. But then, its not my decision...
  16. No. Religion is a tool used to make weakminded fools conform to what the top 1% wants. However, I do believe that there is a species out there at a high enough level of technology to SEEM to be god-like to primitive humans. Which is more likely/believeable: An invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do and has a special list of things he doesn't want you to do. And if you DO do those things, he has a special place where you will burn in agonizing pain for all time. OR That in the billions of galaxies in the universe, out of the hundreds of trillions of planets, there is at least one, single planet other than Terra that holds a life form, and that one of those life forms has had more time to develop than us, and that one of those species actually has achieved a higher level of technology than us.
  17. Edgeville w18. Died, lost dds, but no biggie. Ran to the bank, grabbed glory, teled to edge, ran out and... Couldn't find my torso or rune defender. :wall:
  18. Oh, damn, why did it have to be on my birthday, at the exact time that I'm going to be gone... Oh well, there's always next time...
  19. So basically you almost won a Darwin Award on rs :P Gj on the lucky escape :uhh:
  20. I'm pretty sure that there's an aspect of Java that keeps numbers from exceeding certain amounts, and besides, chances are that summoning will be a gathering skill... :|
  21. Wait for all the stuff I sold to go down in price, buy it back for ~200k less than I sold it for, and laugh at all the people who spent millions on completely useless items. It'll be funny if it turns out to be purely gathering based, and you don't need anything but items you get through training the skill...
  22. Awesome, especially for a 1st vid :D Tbh it's refreshing to see something OTHER than the typical dds/ancient or msb/ancient pure vid...
  23. Even if it was slower than that, with mid-range melee stats(~80), and a decent strength/attack bonus for the weapon, you'd be hitting around 60-80 damage every ~10 seconds... The only way this could possibly work would be for it to be extremely weak, with negative bonuses, so that even with maxed stats and great armor, you would only hit 1s and 2s. Besides, what would it be? There really isn't much faster to be than a whip (In terms of weapons appropriate to the setting). You'd have to be breaking the sound barrier several times over every hit for that kind of speed, and frankly, that's not going to happen. As far as 'faster than the whip' ingame, the only stuff is: Shortbow on rapid, Dds special, other ranged weapons.
  24. They already made staking crappy, I don't think that they could get away with turning pking into a minigame... Having the wilderness w/o risk of losing items would basically be like a giant, no teams version of Castlewars. Tbh, they're messing up important parts of the game in the quest to end RWTing. A better solution would be to take up every rs goldbuying site name imagineable, then shut down the current goldselling sites. Yes, that is perfectly legal, all parts of Runescape, including the pixelized gold, are the property of JaGEx Ltd; selling gold is basically the same as having some random guy steal the beta of the next(awful) version of Windows and sell it. Sorry to say, it does look like that might be what they're planning to do, but I just hope they don't make the wildy TOO dangerous  , I like doing clues there...
