No Brains Needed to Bounty Hunt.
Unless teams of ddsers are really brains, then no. "Toss that old box of 'Pking' and pick up a delicious tin of 'Pking Lite: Easy on the Gray Matter'!"

Wildy Change...
Lol... Ok, read the rules, please..

More rare then a Christmas Cracker in Runescape now.
Actually, I saw a horde of angry, rioting pures today.. looked pretty dangerous to me. Ever try being a level 3 on the dark wizard hill?

WHY runescape made the changes it did...
..Runescape can think independently and change itself?!.. Skynet! :o Seriously, people are complaining because their favorite activities (pking, staking, merching) have been removed, not for the sake of complaining, and not because they all RWT. Try not to be so closeminded. (Although those rioting pures get pretty annoying after a while..)

Exp farmers a new threat?
This isn't exactly new... Besides, if some moron kid wants to waste his parent's money, then I don't really care, either the account gets banned before sale, or they quit a few weeks later. Besides, it'd be much easier for goldfarmers to just move on to a new game. Remember, if a bot or farmer with 600k on it gets caught, they lose a few hours work; if a high-leveled account being farmed gets caught, then the farmer loses weeks of work.

Days of infamy: the worst is yet to come
Excuse me, good sirrah, but I despise these updates as well and, last time I checked, I have never been blackmarked or muted in my 2 1/2 years of playing. I have tried to be kind, courteous, and polite in all of my dealings. So why are you lumping all who don't like these updates into the same category as the rule breakers? Same goes for me, and I've been playing since 2004, no blackmarks, Im not a pker or merchanter, I dislike teh updates as a matter of principle. I also dont monsterhunt. Yep, me too. I've played since mid '03 (quit a few months once :| ) , never cheated or been blackmarked, I don't stake, pk or merch, and I don't operate autoers. I'm opposed to the trade update mainly because it eliminates the ability to help others by giving presents to friends or handing out free armor and weapons to new players, even if the updates were ultimately for the best.

Summoning being used to counter the loss of bots?
Exactly. They've had it in production for a long time, but they don't officially announce it until a few days before December 10th, when they released the updates. It's almost funny to see how they assume that their players are all idiots who will go "Oooh, Summoning is finally out! Let's not protest or rant about the updates and keep paying our money!". OT: I'm guessing the summoned creatures will help you by A: Gathering resources (logs, ore, ect.) and automatically banking them/putting them in your inv, or B: Doing errands like running ess to you or taking loads of resources to the bank, in the same way that servants in your POH can plank noted logs for you. They stay for limited amounts of time, and they probably don't function on their own; you need to stay logged on and fairly near to them for them to stay summoned. I really doubt that they will be able to run while you're on the other side of the map or logged off. So the impact on prices won't be anywhere close to what was done by bots.

Isn't this a little counterproductive?
Between drinks and the crystal saw, you already get to build things well before you reach the required level, just level up until you can make it. After all, construction is supposed to waste money and time..

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
The update hasnt happend yet, Just wait you will see the fallout. Ive already posted that once you hit lvl 100 the restrictions should be lifted, under that there should be a system to restrict trade. Although I think not as harsh as the one being created. It's one day away, I think people would be reacting by now.. The 100 cb trade limit is absurd, most real players have nowhere near that, and it is VERY easy for a bot to get to 100 combat. The quest point trade regulator is probably the best system that could be used to control the trade limit, because most players quest and it is fairly hard for bots to complete quests.

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
Okay then, what would you suggest be done to completely eliminate goldfarmers and bots, without causing any of the 'problems' that you say will destroy RS. Oh, and I've played since 2003, and these updates are much better than having bots and scammers. So I think I've got a pretty decent perspective on what is or isn't going to kill the game. Either way, the only real loss is the removal of the ability to give gifts or loan items. Monday, December 31st, 2:07 PM EST. Doesn't look too dead to me.

Runescape future #1 game?
Pfft, lousy rating group. RS is #1. 'Nuff said. :D If you think WoW is better, watch South Park Ep. # 1008: http://www.southparkzone.com/episodes/1 ... craft.html And if you don't want to click the link, don't. It's safe, but plenty of people are afraid of any sites they haven't used before.. Oh, and 'users' = 'users', not paying players. Rs wins. F2p players are still players.

Tip.it Times Presents: Letters to the editor #11
Good thing I dumped all my stuff on the 10th, eh? :) I managed to make a decent profit by buying it all back when prices bottomed out, then selling some stuff again when there was a [bleep]e in whips and dboots.. So now I've got the fury I've always wanted. It's a shame about pking, but eh, what can you do.. :| Great letters, right on the dot.

SimpleScape! :O
I love how people with little understanding of the actual issues go around telling people who have valid, logical problems with the updates to shut up or get out. Oh well, I guess the popular thing to do these days is bash anyone who rants about updates... Fail.

Yew spots for f2p
Varrock Church yew spawn. Only one tree, but its always empty.

Wild still dangerous?
Unless you're incredibly stupid/unprepared/unlucky, no. The renevant are only tough enough to kill a well-prepared, experienced player if a gang of the orks jumps them in lvl ~50 wildy.

Smallest monster that ever killed you
Cow. I was lvl 4 and some guy decided to scam my bronze axe by telling me to kill them and keeping the gate shut. -.-

Shoting2 - It's not the end of the world!
Actually, it sucks that the wilderness was killed. And no, BH and CW DON'T replace it. Keep in mind, the only people I've seen who love the updates, and don't even wish they could have pking w/o RWters are people who ordinarily hate/ignore pking. Oh, and before you label me a stupid crybaby pker, check my stats. Does that look like a pking account? Ontopic: I like quests, combat (mainly range) and Treasure Trails.

Tanks. New meaning?
I'm pretty sure that they said that Summoning would work like prayer; and look at it like this: One(1) new combat skill added. Twelve(12) new cb levels added.

Angry Old Man - Part Two
Either he was just being an arse for the reasons that old people usually are(Denial of aging/demands for respect or attention), or he was pissed off because he got woken up. Self defense only really works when you are in some sort of danger; after you pushed him back, you really can't do much unless he goes for you again. :|
