  1. We control the prices. But then, the ability of prices to change is so limited that its taken weeks for items to make any sort of major change. As for things like the overpricing of raw food, thats because everyone is using the GE to buy 99 cooking, which lowers the supply of raw food, driving the prices up, while raising the supply of cooked food, lowering the prices. So basically very few people are buying cooked food and selling raw food, in terms of the ratio between them and raw food buyers/cooked food sellers. Supply and demand. The GE itself is nice, but the slow pace of price shifts is horrid. From that perspective, JaGEx really is controlling the prices. (In that they control how much items can fluctuate each hour/day/week.) Irl: Stock prices can crash in mere hours, from being worth hundreds to virtually nothing. In RS, it takes items weeks to crash or [bleep]e.
  2. Start Legends. Get machete and wcing axe. Cut your way through the thick jungle.
  3. Go questing, most quests give decent items and chunks of exp. Also, try to get whichever style cb skill(s) you like the most up; if thats melee, go for drag weps, if range, go for msb, if mage, pick a spell you want to reach. Try out the basic moneymakings stat; mining, wcing, and fishing. Try to find a source of income that you enjoy, and just plow away until you reach your goals.
  4. Varrock east mine has more rocks, but is a slightly longer bank trip, Al'Kharid is closer to a bank but only has ~5 of each rock. I'd say do varrock east until you can smith iron/steel or until/if you get 29+ cb to keep the scorpions from being aggressive.
  5. Buy back from the necromancer south of Fally for ~20-40k. Whatever is most convenient for you, with just the two, I'd say the Catherby and Ardy herb patches. Supercompost is your best bet. Carry one or more plant cures, buy an unenchanted nature ammy and enchant it, then attune it to one of your herb patches.
  6. Mourning's End part 1, only real use apart from entertainment is in the quest.
  7. The inv image, examine and name.
  8. What if the human race had never evolved beyond slightly more intelligent apes? What species would be dominant? And would they have ruined the planet as much as we have?
  9. Sounds awesome :D But either have 30- not be attackable, or have Lumbridge castle as a safe-zone. Better yet, have it only on about 1/2 of the servers, mostly ones not already given to a minigame, and post that they are 'Invasion' servers or something on the world select screen.
  10. RoW increases the chances of a 'rare' (high gen. store value) drop, clues are among the lowest-value items in the game.
  11. You are immortal, but you never stop aging. I wish for humanity to advance through 1500 years worth of technological and sociological breakthroughs in the next year, and for the human race to use those changes for good.
  12. Blue dragons or Ankou. Both have a decent droplist and give lv 3s fairly often. Only melee the Ankou, though, there really aren't good safespots. Just remember not to use a RoW.
  13. Save your money, the only real use for it was pjing in edge..
  14. 'Fixed Device' for ME Part I, otherwise known as the toad cannon. It shoots dye-filled toads.
  15. I'm pretty sure the best drop is a drag dagger (?), so basically what you'd get if you smited a 1-itemer.. Not worth the risk or the food/pots.
  16. Leave it to organized religion to continue to be the most bigoted cesspool in the world..

Natural freedoms, the so-called 'unalienable rights' are rubbish, you have no natural rights beyond what you make your right through force or intelligence. As for the 'rights' given to us by our respective governments, they allow us freedom up to the point where we infringe on the rights of others. I could go out and kill someone, I have the freedom to do so. But that would not be within my 'rights', and so I would be punished. Now, in some places the 'rights' of murderers are different than other places, so in some places I would be executed, while in others I could probably plead insanity and win or bargain for a reduced sentence. 'Rights' and 'Freedom' are pretty words, but their meaning is completely dependent on the ruling power that currently defines them.
  18. It is perfectly possible to go through the entire game to where you have maxed out stats and great gear without once trading with other players/on the GE. It isn't easy, but it IS an adventure. It all depends on weither you want to take the easy way out and get supplies/make money through trading with people rather than stores.
  19. Examining the skeletons in the NE ankou room, you get: 'One less adventurer...' and 'I don't think he expected that' :)
  20. So-called 'hackers' (all they do is trick you into going to a site that will give your computer a keylogger) often just want to take your account for the thrill, and will probably either sell your account or drop all your stuff if they get access to your bank.
  21. Those rocks aren't summoning obelisks, if anything is, the rocks from the summoning concept art are. For one thing, they are only in that one place, out of the whole world. that just doesn't work. Would it work to only have one prayer altar in the whole world? No. And besides, do they look at all like something related to summoning? I also doubt that the obelisks will be released before the actual update.. The life rune symbol split in two represents the fact that the life rune will never be released. It is gone and dead forever.
  22. Lol, its more like: 'When Will the Right-Wing Finish Setting the Stage for the Next Oil War?' The fake report of nukes are already out, its only a matter of time... Just remember, you heard it here first. Oh, and Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, the only reason given for the invasion was the supposed existence of 'chemical weapons', which have still not been found. (Kinda hard to find something that doesn't exist.. :| ) And, of course; Operation Iraqi Liberation
