If it beats KOTOR, it has to be something. But I already reserved Halo 3, so it's either this or Mass Effect...Argh, which one? OR you could get a job! :XD: :XD: :XD: I played through about half of KOTOR so I'm not sure how it will compare but of the games I've played its got the best story line of them all. Well, I'm not old enough to get worried about my lack of work yet, but I get your point. Your other sentence was rather vague, but I'll assume you meant Bioshock has the best storyline ever. Interesting...
  2. Uh, lol? Halo 3 is $60, 70, or 130 depending on the edition. Expensive, but not near $450. And in all honesty, its the reason I bought my 360. Not that Halo 3 will act as the killer app that Halo did; the 360 has plenty of kick-[wagon] games now anyway. Oh back on topic. No, I wouldn't buy an Xbox now...Kind of late, don't you think? Like others said, you're better off with the PC versions, and they have a certain amount of modding as a benefit. Keep in mind the multiplayer experience won't be quite the same, and it's what made Halo 2 awesome. The single-player is only average, but it would help to play it to acquaint yourself with Halo should you buy Halo 3 somewhere down the road.

I have an idea. Try typing in "www.runescape.com"....I know i'm being obnoxious, but sometimes the most obvious things may be the culprit. To help ya out, http://www.runescape.com Other than that, I don't see why IE would be have a prejudice on runescape :-k (I doubt firefox and IE make any diff, albeit i use firefox myself).
  4. And the bland sense of humor....
  5. [hide=pics of classic games] [/hide] Oh em gee! Commander keen, not the oldest, but it was awesome. I played the first level of each game, being free and all. But I never brought myself to pay for the rest (coincidently, I'm f2p). Anyway, the Pogo stick was kick-butt. I have these discs with demo and full versions of a lot of old but good games, from older companies like Apogee and 3D Realms. Like: Black Thorne, by Blizzard. An awesome, insanely hard game. Probably the friggin' hardest game of all time, the original Prince of Persia, not the bootleg new ones with fancy running-on-walls and time-stopping.. Raptor, pretty fun to play. Never bought the full version though. Descent, it was terrifying when I played it, being 9yrs old and all. And the total 3d made it nauseating... But a great leap forward in 3d gaming IMO. And of course, Jetpack, the greatest shareware of all time!
  6. Are you kidding? I'd be bored and frustrated out of my mind. Being God wouldn't be that much fun,. I mean, you'd have a few billion folks unable to see you and figure that you don't exist. Personally, if i were "God", I'd just kill everything and walk away whistling. Oh as for Heaven, I find it hard to imagine a place to spend eternity in, and not get bored eventually. The only thing that would be worthwhile is to see everyone I knew who died come back and live with me and those are alive, immortally. Oh, and plenty of food would be good too.

  8. I've always used X-men. I love it, albeit it's hard to read links you've clicked on before because of the black background. But it's minor.
  9. It would be interesting if it worked the other way, wouldn't it? That jagex offered a real low price, a little lower than high alching. Or if not buying, it sold? Imagine it selling perishables like bars or logs, unlimited but at a horrendously higher price than stores or players. It would be quite the money drain.
  10. Not much of a Harry Potter fan, but isn't it obvious? Being under 17 and having the trace and all... Hm, I only expected 2 ppl to die, not half the characters in the history of the books. One of the few places where more good guys die than bad guys... :|
  11. Sparta only had traces of democracy. For the most part, Sparta was a theocracy and an oligarchy, where a small, rich group of men took care of things. And it was a militaristic state, further limiting democracy. The only reason I said "king Leonidas" was to make the point that Sparta wasn't a true democracy. And Athens would be a better example of democracy than Sparta anyway. No, a republic, most commonly follows democratic processes. China is a republic, and a communist state at the same time (as goes for Vietnam, USSR, North Korea, etc). The republic has more to do with representing the people than with allowing the people to actually rule themselves. This is why Rome was also a republic, albeit the Emperor held ultimate power. Get it straight, the USA is a democracy AND republic. Ever notice we fight for democracy, but not to make republics? It's because being a republic doesn't ensure democratic processes and individual rights; it merely allows representation of the masses but not the power to vote. And pre-Imperial or not, Rome was never an actual democracy. Republic, yes, but only for the rich and powerful. And even before that, Rome was ruled by a monarchy (Etruscans), as well as after its golden age, and other dumb government ideas like the triumvirate and splitting of the empire. Once again: Rome's government was a Republic, not a true democracy.
  12. Pre-Imperial Rome disagrees with you. As does ancient Sparta. Neither of which however were democracy as we know it today. Ancient Sparta/Greece is probably the closest mankind will ever get to true democracy in the history of this planet's lifespan, and they also had a thriving free market that was open to local & foreign citizens. Even common men and slaves had a say in the running of things locally and on a bigger level. No it definatley was not. Slaves, women and foreign people were not able to have a say in any political decision. The only people who could vote were athenian men which made up a small amount of the population. Yup. Not only was Athens a limited democracy (as opposed to a direct one), the rest of Greece were either theocracies or monarchies (how exactly does KING Leonidas' Sparta qualify as a democracy?). And Rome was a republic, not a democracy. It may have had some voting involved, but for the most part it was just representatives. Oh, don't forget the Caesar. Sorry for going off topic here.
  13. Dude...you just tried to emulate and usurp 3 separate threads at once. There are the best, worst, and scariest threads already existing. Let me find them for ya. Best: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=624798 Worst:http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=667109 Scariest:http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=680319 As for the oldest game I ever played, it should be Pong. But it was of course, an adaption and not the original game. Otherwise I have plenty of ancient freeware games.
  14. So basically you want some philanthropist communism-fascism hybrid, where everyone is not just equal, but must care for each other in order to make a stronger nation-state. If the lessons of the past didn't remind you, it is impossible for everyone in a society to agree with each other. Not only does each individual want separate and unique goals, but each individual believes his rights/goals are more correct and will do anything to make it succeed, even if that means fighting conflicting ideals of other individuals. Now, the ideal democratic capitalism is where everyone has an equal chance of success, and is rewarded according to his capabilities and accomplishments. This of course, doesn't happen, and people fight for what they want, even if it isn't the morally correct thing to do. So there is a reason to act selfish and individualistic. If we didn't, it would be sacrificing ourselves to help others. The greater good would be served, but at the cost of gaining individual success (and thus, the ants/bees metaphor). If you can convince the entire world that, we would have a utopia. But this, of course, will never happen.

That's less than half the value of those things...I mean, $600+(8*50)+(2*50)+plugins > $450, (thats $1100 at minimum btw). You sure you want to do that? I'd advise you just buy the 360 separately, maybe next year or something. I mean, the 360 is better in my opinion, but not enough to warrant losing $500 bucks. It would make more sense just to buy the 360; that way you have both systems.
  16. The demo was pretty scary for me. But I'm sure it'd wear off, and just become occasional surprises, 12 yrs old or what not.
  17. The various tiaras, random event things, and cut gems. I just like stocking up on them for no apparent reason. But I'm f2p, and for the most part I have to learn to use everything in my bank, with the limited bank space and all.
  18. Depends, which has more players that accomplished it? Otherwise I'd be equally impressed.
  19. In trying to frustrate a scammer, you'll only frustrate yourself. It's best you just ignore them and go about your business. Either that, or just report them.
  20. It would be totally heartless to return something your dad bought for you at a n insane price tag. The 360 may be better, but a free ps3 pwns a 400 buck xbox.
  21. I'd stay away from the Piano regardless. I mean, it's rainbow colored and everything!
  22. I would asume so. Imagine the car is a box, and there is a fly in it. Then it gets blasted forward, I think it would hit the back of the box or car. But then again, are all particles connected? So the fly would move with it? :? Nope, the fly would go SMACK. There isn't enough friction between the fly and the air to hold it in place while the car jerks forward. But if the fly was sitting on a surface, it would have enough grip to be pulled also.
  23. I will ignore the fact that these questions have been answered already, and put in my own answers! :P I think warri0r45's answer would pwn any that I could think of. But you're getting confused with Lamarck's theory of evolution and Darwin's theory. In Lamarck's theory, the environment directly causes adjustments in organisms, and these organisms pass down these modified genes. This, of course, is wrong. It's like saying that a body builder's son will get large muscles regardless of working out or not. In the modern understanding of evolution, nothing short of a mutation can cause the DNA to change in our lifetime. I wouldn't consider paying the price tags as "getting the girls". As for your question, it would just be because girls want to get the best possible dude they can. In high school, the guy with the looks/popularity. Later on, the guy with the fat wallet. Art is always about inventiveness and expression. If the artist can successfully potray understandable concepts to the viewer, it doesn't matter if it's spray paint or oil pastel. "Abstract art" is a massive concept. Not all art has to be realistic or magnificent, all it has to do is stimulate the mind. And I seriously doubt he just "painted it yellow". There has to be a touch that makes it interesting. Linkey if you can? Honestly, if you can pass the ball, you're fine. But I think you're just being overcritical of yours. Either that, or you're playing with manchester united in your practice sessions. :-k I always thought statements like these are somewhat hypocritical. Unless you are in a rock band yourself, or at least play an instrument, it wouldn't be fair to say professional rock bands have no skill. Or unless you mean the rock bands of today versus the rock bands of old. That would also be relatively opinion based, but more like what trapical said, that nowadays as long as you have the right contacts, you can be famous.
  24. It's strange, I've never seen an ad, ever. Except for those on the update pages, but they're all blank white. I look for the spaces for ads, but my gameplay screen is a neat fit into my browser, and no scrolling space for ads. Same goes for the mainpage. On detail select there is just a blank black area between the detail select and Java version select. I think the ads are scared of me. Either that, or NoScript is doing a better job than i thought. I mean, no trace or hint of ads at all.
  25. "It's over 9000!!!" This one is realy good. It doesn't make a bit of difference rapidchipmunk, the player kits are inert. If you don't get it, look here:
