What time period does RS most closely resemble?
Exactly, no one seems to think about the fact that the actual world is only influenced by humans, while in runescape each race is at different tech eras. So take out the gliders, cannons, coal trucks, and whatnot (all non-human things), and you'll see the humans in runescape are actually quite primitive. To put a date, it would be around 500-1000 AD, seeing that the most advanced thing the Humans have is running water. On the other hand, the dwarves have everything from blast furnaces to fully automatic repeating-cannons. They would be somewhere between the 1700's to 1900's. Gnomes would be 1200-1500s, Elves around the same as Humans, and Trolls and Ogres in the Triassic period.

RS 3D
I think they should upgrade the "high res" mode into something more 3D like this, and make the low res into how the current high res. No, i didn't say a tongue twister. But honestly, I don't notice any difference between the two resolutions as we have them now, other than the music. If there are, tell me about it.

The bible
These statistics have absolutely no impact on the core beliefs of Christianity, and as a result they can have plenty of minor errors. The author was human, and was documenting things he believed was divine. There is plenty of room for such human error, it isn't the same as if God himself wrote it and made spelling mistakes. Deception is the manipulation of peoples' thoughts and feelings. What Paul did is put Jesus' teaching into his own words and speak it as he believed was accurate. What else can he do, memorize every word in Jesus' life? In any case, Paul did not benefit from his actions, and would have no need for so-called "deception". In addition, Paul's words never deviated from Jesus' message, so where was the harm done? And since when did Christians base our lives around the exact time in which Jesus entered Peter's house? And remember that these are different authors, and would have recalled the order of things with slight variances. And when I said "anyone's guess", I was referring to whether Mathew or Mark was more accurate in the timing. In any case, it would not effect the reliability of the book, since it does not address anything about our Christian beliefs. How can it be anything but a work of man? It was written by men, read by men, and otherwise used by men. It cannot, by our own definition, be perfect. On the other hand, we believe it is divine, because we believe the words in it, although physically recorded by Man, reflects the will of God, and is thus divinely inspired. And you don't seem to know the very core tenets of Christianity, since we do NOT rely solely rely on empiricism. A common Christian saying is "we walk by Faith and not by sight", showing that God does not prove himself nonexistent. And it is your logic, that apparently doesn't make room for religion, not mine. Of course, believing in God is entirely up to you, and I won't press it on you.

The bible
Why is it 90% of these so called "biblical contradictions" are statistical? Honestly, does it really matter if there were 14 or 13 generations? In any case, looks like the number 14 is wrong, and if counted it turns out to be 13. It may be a mistake on the author's part, but it isn't that serious. I don't really understand the basis of this one. Does it say "because it isn't written so, Jesus never said it"? That, is anyone's guess, but not enough to say "It isn't written, therefore it never happened." Regardless, it could also be a paraphrasing, since much of Jesus' ministries revolved around generosity and that kind of thing. It most definitely is not "deception". This one is odd. :-k It's not much of a contradiction, seeing that neither account refutes the other. It's just the order of events which results in some logical incompatibility. Seeing that the gospel of Mark is supposedly older than Mathew, it may be more accurate. But that's anyone's guess. This one is very contextual; it's merely the wording that throws the reader off. All these accounts in Corinthians are by Paul, preaching to gentile churches. In the first one he says "I wasn't commanded by God to say this, but I say it anyway", so it isn't technically uninspired by God. And the second one deals with marriage and gentiles, for which there is no backing from previous scriptures, thus it is "not from the Lord". It's all in the misleading wording, but if you read the context it makes more sense. I believe there's like 600 of these "contradictions", which aren't so much of conflicting claims as they are different numbers, or slightly varying accounts of an event. They are all very minor, I have yet to see something like "God has a little brother".

What weapons did mighty warriors use in the 3rd age?
\ Methinks we call that first age before Christ . And in my opinion real man don't use weapons \ BC does not stand for Before Christ son. Um yes it does? Unless you mean "Before common era", which is not the standard definition.

The beauty of women
That's what I was thinking! It sounds to me like he's describing one certain girl.   Oooooooooh! I second that. Honestly, smelling a girl's scent isn't the first thing I do in the morning. And neither would you enjoy appreciating any random woman. Maybe you want to specify a certain lady you are thankful for? And I do hate to hear the generalizations that women are "calm, thoughtful, compassionate and clever" and that men are "egoistic, uncouth brutes". Men and women are very equal in those characteristics, or at least enough so to not generalize either sex.

Starcraft 2: Terran (Games Workshop) units revealed
Starcraft 2 looks great in my opinion. Even if its graphics gets outdated, it would still be incredible because of the general gameplay and strategy aspect of starcraft. Besides, how realistic do you want a Sci-Fi game to be? But I'm disappointed how they kept so few of the old terran units. The Firebat, vulture, wraith, and goliath are probably gone (possibly replaced by reaper, banshee, cobra and thor). Then again, it'll most likely be a good thing, especially seeing how kick-butt the protoss are now. In any case, I'm going to reserve it as soon as they release the date.

What weapons did mighty warriors use in the 3rd age?
I'm pretty sure the weapons used then were very basic and primitive, like bronze and iron. Only the heroes actually wielded ultra-powerful weapons like the 3rd age and barrows, given by gods and demi-gods (blessed stuff, only gods could make them). I'm under the impression that only Zamorak's heroes used dragon weapons, seeing how they look jagged, [bleep]ed, and theatrically frightening. As for magic, wasn't it the god-spells? Just because Ancient Magicks have the word "ancient" in them doesn't mean they were from the 3rd age. Oh, the humans DIDN'T decline. They were almost wiped out, and the weapons they used weren't their own tech anyway.

Why can't America view gaming like Korea.
[hide=pics about the freak, the business man and the other freak] number 2 but the people who make fun of games are usually more like this: (chavs) [/hide] That's pretty accurate on m4tty's part. For some reason people seem to respect the #3 picture, while in my opinion the first pic > the third one. Merely because folks who are "nerds" (computer super-savvy that is)have a lot more skill and expertise than the idiots who enjoy mocking them.

Deaf or Blind?
Remember that If you're deaf, you'll slowly become dumb. That is, mute. This is because if you're born deaf, you'll never know what sound is. And if you become deaf later, there's a good chance of being dumb regardless because you will forget how to speak. Remember, its really hard to talk if you don't know (or can't hear) what you're saying. [Dumbness is a synonym for muteness, I'm not being rude]. So would you rather be blind, but be able to speak/hear? Or would you rather force everyone around you to start signing? Being blind wouldn't be THAT much worse than being blind, especially since it would be easier to keep communicating if you become blind later on in life.

The Human Body and its Responses
Well, I for one have noticed that when I take a bite out of a big, juicy burger, my tongue thanks me. Has anyone else noticed this? I have also noticed that the human body goes limp, when the head makes contact with a crowbar. But only if the crowbar has gained sufficient velocity. Have you noticed people buy calenders every year? What's up with that? Mysteries of life. Really. -.-

Why can't America view gaming like Korea.
This is untrue. I'm sure EVERY guy in my school has 1 console or more, popular, geek, or whatnot. It only depends on how much you play, and how much social life you have. I for one (out of millions), play games plenty, but I'm not outcast (REALLY). Um, there's a mafia in Korea? I'm pretty sure democratic south korea has no problems of that sort. The Yakuza has influence in Korea, but it's really based in Japan. :ohnoes: China is communist, not fascit. I'm sure you're allowed to play WoW, granted you work 20/6...And WHY would a Chinese dude want an english copy of the game? No, not a reference to goldfarmers. -.- Um, wats occidental? :-s Coincidently, 99% of the people who watch that porn stuff are here in America. Well maybe not 99%, but you get the point. And remember the Yakuza are in Japan? Some places there are not so great.

Can we possibly have yet ANOTHER skill!?
I think the release of skill capes cemented the fact that max will always be 99. A lot of folks with skill capes would be pretty mad if it changed.

The stupidity of summoning...
I imagine summoning as runecrafting. At level 1, you summon 1 imp. At lvl 11, 2 imps. At 22, 3 imps, and so on. Higher level monsters would follow the guidelines of higher level runes.* As for disrupting the combat pyramid, there HAS to be something to lose when sending monsters out. Perhaps with each monster killed, you would lose a large amount of Run energy. So summoning many monsters will drain your run energy and leave you vulnerable.* *Was I supposed to guess stuff like that? Meh, it was fun imagining. And TECHNICALLY summoning already exists, in a manner of speaking. In construction, those monsters you make run a fine line near "summoning". True, you "construct" and not "summon" them, but its pretty close.

Mining, it was always one of the toughest, yet simplest skills. Someone with 99 mining always gets respect. Then so woodcutting, since it lies almost parallel with mining.

Favorite game series?
Well, it wouldn't be as interesting if i told u it was only on DS beforehand, would it? Honestly, if BioWare can't bring back Sonic....well, its bioware, anything is possible for them. And on the topic of Paper Mario on the Wii, I thought it was a great game. Then again, I only played a little in my cousins house, and not the whole game. Regardless, It was as good as platformers go, and the 3D+2D element never ceases to amaze me. :
