The owner has quite a lot of power over the community, he/she can decide who gets banned, generaled, on which account it will be hosted etc. I can assure you, it can go wrong. Regarding you not seeing why people get so hung up over this. We'd like to have a host which isn't a complete moron and that we can get along with that person (you don't want to spend time in a chat which is lead by a [puncture]). The best way to achieve this is by voting for the person which you think qualifies most for that task. To make this decision you must also know the other contenders' qualities. Lets say that of the 100 votes here 50 aren't chat regulars and probably don't know any of the contestants ( I think I'm being generous there, actually ), that means that around 50 of the votes had no valid base. Now, I'm not saying any of the leading aspiring-owners are not qulified, I'm merely saying that if they are really up for it then why not let the people who can probably judge them best and will have to deal with them weekly/daily decide, and only them? We'll have a host we're comfortable with and the owner will be comfortable with the thought of having the full support of the chatters. If you can't understand this then I think you have nothing to do on this thread or in this poll. And Evil, I'm sure you could find out who's a reliable source with a little effort, I'd be willing to give you a list of names of chatters I regularly see in here as I'm sure others/other generals will. Oh and Ray and Xano, get off your high horse and rent a room.

Well then, sorry for the inactivity guys but I was just a bit caught up with school and real life and stuff, so the time to play was a little bit err...little. :roll: But I'm in a week of spring break at the moment so I've found the time to catch up with my blog and introduce some updates on my progress : Unsurprisingly to find are probably the elements of combat in my updates, yes I'm still slaying. :P However this time I'm going for maxed combat instead of a certain slayer level. Since I've already mastered the art of self-defence I started going for the red cape, Attack. Now since I didn't want to abandon the path of slayer it was all through slayer, I am going on my 300th task at the moment. It can be quite tedious :lol: Now for some of the older pictures, I made a 'rate this!' right before I took a little blogging break to celebrate my achievement in slayer namely this: So now I can *hurt* all the monsters on Runescape, can be quite helpful when you're cornered by a Dark beast..right. Well since then I've been slaying some more whilst training attack which got me to 91: Along side of this were two b-e-a-utiful 98's namely hitpoints and attack. Now I've lost the hitpoints picture but I've got proof in the attack picture : I'm currently around 950k away from 99 attack and 860k from 99 hits, guess which will take the longest :roll: Furthermore I've gotten my first and second Dark bow drops, my first is stashed away safely in my bank and I sold my second for 800 odd k \ #1 and #2 Well lets see, what's left, o right, a bank picture from around 90 slayer :o (I've used all those lovely crimson charms to get to 82 summoning, I need 5k more crimsons now to reach 88 :o) That's all for now, going to my grandparents now so 99 attack probably on sunday :)

There actually hasn't been much manipulation. It's been a pretty fair vote so far. Lol, the only reason you are posting is because you are winning. Where is your BLOG at? There's around 100 votes now, who are these people? They have nothing to do with the chat and certainly don't know who to pick as a host, like Aslan (2noob4you1) stated before this is more like a popularity contest. Make a new poll, make everyone post their vote instead of entering it in a machine and manage it manually. That way we'll be sure that the people voting actually care about who the next host becomes and aren't just voting for their friends.
