  1. If you look closely, there are Spatters of complementary colors on each block. It represents the way an Individual can stand out in a group of conformists. *sigh... You can't just create subject material out of a piece like that. There has to be a purpose, a clear hint of purpose and intention of the piece. If you were trying to portray "nonconformism," there would be less dots in the center than inside the blocks. Also, usage of color is important as well. I can't tell there were colors inside the blocks, therefore you have to choose colors carefully to show those dots inside the blocks. There are few questions you have to ask yourself: What am I trying to show? How am I going to do it? (Media) Does this piece make sense to the viewer? After finishing the piece, does text in the piece make my message any clearer? Those four questions will help you a lot. Also, you should look up the rule of thirds. Two giant blocks distract the viewer. Try adding a third box.
  2. Get out with your unrefined sport. My money is on Pacquiaco. Since Mayweather is an orthodox boxer, he's going to have trouble against a Southpaw. Mayweather in his past had trouble, and no way he could get adjusted to a southpaw so quickly. Its going to be a good fight though, looking forward to it.
  3. I still don't understand people using trip codes when the best part about the place is the anonymity. Because i'm not scared to hide behind anonymity. Plus, in forums like /cgl/, or /fa/, its helpful if you trip. People know who's helping, and most people who trip actually know the subject matter. It makes it easier to respond to questions and the like.

DJ Ravine is a DJ, not an artist, as odd as that may sound. He only mixes HHC, and other hardcore. Happy Hardcore artists: Hixxy Scott Brown SY Vinylgroover Brisk Breeze Stealth Bang! Tripple J Alchemist
  5. Ugh, people don't understand the basics behind abstract art or anything that isn't realism. You can't just slobber paint on canvas and call it abstract art, that's just you throwing paint on a canvas. As much as I hate abstract art, I have to defend it in its place, where you murdered the essence of "art." All abstract art has a purpose and composition. Hell, all art has that. I can't see anything that resembles form or shape in your piece. Yeah, you have those two giant blocks of color, but what purpose do they serve and why are they on the two ends of the canvas board? It distracts the viewer's eyes and makes the painting unbearable. Abstract art also has a very small color palette. Take a look at Picasso or Kandinsky. They both had a natural reference and used abstractions of geometric shapes to represent those natural objects. And they did it successfully by limiting their color palette to 4-5 colors to bring out what they wanted to represent. Come back when you have something you want to portray in your piece, and we'll talk. Right now its a blob of paint.
  6. I trip as Coffee in /a/, /cgl/, /fa/, /m/, and /r9k/. 4chan isn't as bad as most people tell you. Its just that /b/ and underage kids that spout memes and obscene stuff that gives 4chan a bed rep. Although in certain boards there is a lot of crap that goes on, but you can usually ignore it.

I don't mind at all. It depends on how big your monitor is, and what you want me to do it in?

UK Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Gabber, Hardstyle anyone? I'd be happy to even hear a mention of one of those genres in this thread. D:
  12. Domon is pretty GAR, but i'd say Char Aznable or Camille are much more badass than Domon. Wow, that makes me want to watch G Gundam again.
  13. Yes indeed.

People be jealous of my waffles and what.cd access. :D
  15. I mean it really depends. Tchaikovsky is one of those composers that come out of the Romantic era that had hit or miss pieces. Overture of 1812 was a masterpiece, however all of his later work went to the [cabbage]ter by over using his favorite choral progression of 2-5 then 7-4. There's only so much you can do in a piece till the progression gets dull. Stravinsky is also guilty of that too, his Hungarian influences pretty much limited his potential as a composer out of the romantic era. However I do prefer Stravinsky. :D
  16. Any UC Gundam fans here?

So I haven't been doing art this summer, which is pretty bad, and my skills have gone very rusty. Just post a picture of yourself and I'll full fill your request asap. Sometimes i'll do it in graphite, sometimes in ink, or even rarely watercolor. Here's some examples of my artwork. [hide=] [/hide] I'll be willing to do commissions, tattoos, etc... Anything. I can also draw anime if you're interested. But since we can't do business here, i'm poklol on deviantart.

  20. No matter how relaxed you think you are, your brain is going to get a little rush now and then (even if you don't feel it) and your pupils are going to dialate. You can only control your body to a certain extent. When you look and your gf look into each others' eyes, you get excited (again, even if you don't feel it). It's a natural reaction. I guess i've just grown accustomed to it, but being with girls didn't make me so nervous like I was years ago. Yeah, I'd be optimistic and touchy feely, but that's just me.
  21. Barack Obama is the best canidate for me right now. However I hate some of his policies, and most of them seem to have a hidden agenda. He's running Jimmy Carter's second term.
  22. The same can be said about the exact opposite. I know quite a few people who avoid eye contact with those that they like. Exactly. Again it comes up for me this respect of personal space thing for me because I live in Finland. If you pass someone on the street, you do not look them in the eye unless you know them. In America it seems to be that you look them in the eye no matter what. So I have kind of lost the ability to judge how much eye contact is normal with anyone, with girls I just go for minimal. In America, we flirt too much. By the way, eye contact does not mean they're interested in you. It just means that they are paying attention to what you're saying. Lips for lust, eyes for ears. I agree that eye contact does not directly mean someone is interested in you, but there's something much more subtle that happens and you've probably never noticed it. When you look at someone you like or even talk to them, you probably get excited. Not aroused, don't get them confused. So when you're around them/talking to them, you're probably more excited than you would be normally. And when you get excited your pupils will dialate. Nah, I noticed I would get excited when I first started dating girls and hanging out with them, but now its just a casual thing. I'm very relaxed around girls, and even around girls I have my eyes on. That's the problem with a lot of guys these days, they act so different around their friends when girls are around, learn to chill, and just be cool. Girls definitely notice when you're trying to impress them, but hate it when you're too excited. @Passing people on the streets Yeah, I check out girls, a lot. Its almost as a second nature to me now. If I think they're cute or hot, I would usually look up and down then look in her eyes and smile as I pass. They never give me a negative reaction and always smile back looking at me straight in the eyes. Boys, boys, boys, you are more attractive than you think. Take advantage of it yo.

You sir, are looking at the wrong Levis. the 510's and 511s are completely stunning for their price of about 20euros. "I think label Jeans are stupid, there's no difference in the fabric, if there is it's not noticeable, no ones is going to think I'm cool or hot just because I'm wearing a label, and most label Jeans you can buy for about 30 - 40 Euro in your local mainstreet store." Are you [bleep] kidding me? No difference in the fabric? Have you ever worn or touched 150+ euro jeans? Yes, it is very noticeable, people who have a sense of fashion will know right away what jeans and what designer you're wearing. No, you don't buy jeans for the label, you buy them for their material, fade, and fit. You buy them to compliment your body type and to help what looks good with a certain outfit or shirt. Fake washed and acid washes on jeans are disgusting, and look terrible. If you think they look good, you need a revision. Bootcut is out, slim fit is in. If you're fat and can't fit into them, you are not fashionable. EDIT: OH RIGHT Tipit, throw away your garbage jeans like Aeropostale, AE, A&F, Hollister, and etc... Also, throw away your cargo shorts and pants, they're [bleep] tacky. Quit wearing flipflops, learn to wear a nice pair of shoes. Wow you sure have an Ego, and as a matter of fact I own 6 pairs of 150+ Jeans, most of the cheaper ones I buy feel very similar. You do realise every country has it's own different form of fashion? I live in Ireland, completely different fashion to the stuff you're talking about, if I saw you in the type of Jeans you're talking about straight away I'd consider you unfashionable by the sounds of it. How the [bleep] do you expect a common teenager to wear clothes costing 150 euro a piece? By the sounds of your "fashion sense" and arrogance I'm guessing you're one of "daddys little angel" types where you get all the money you need? Well the world doesn't work like that, how do you expect people to wear high end labels if they can't afford it? It's unrealistic and utter [cabbage]. Tip for you, get off your incredibly high horse, stop being a [bleep] sheep and wear your own style, not what others wear nor "what's in and what's out" [cabbage]. You quite obviously have no style if you wear the same as the crowd as it's not your style, you're copying it of the original creator. Individualism is humanities greatest trait, use it. Have you even read a single bit of my post earlier? I've earned every single [bleep]ing penny i've spent on my clothes. My parents didn't pay for [cabbage]. When I was a teen, all they every spent on me was my food, school supplies, and clothes until I was 15. And the clothes they bought me were from thrift stores, not anything fancy. When I was 15, I had to go out to get a job, so don't you [bleep]ing ever dare, tell me i'm a, "Daddy's Angel," or some [bleep]ing spoiled [cabbage] like that. I have to agree with you, fashion is subjective, however I like to push my tastes on to people who I deem just plain ignorant, and your post seemed like so. I apologize for my rudeness. There are many nice jeans that are affordable, and i'm not telling everyone to go out and buy those high end jeans, however it would be nice for everyone if they tried on very expensive jeans once in their life. A [bleep]ing sheep? Are you seriously calling me a tool, even though you read though my entire post? How absent minded can you be? I don't buy articles of clothing just because Cole Mohr or whoever had worn it down the runway. I buy clothes based upon my own decision and aesthetics. There are certain outlines or guidelines in fashion, such as color clashes and appropriate times to wear certain articles of clothing or not. Anyways, you're bound to look like someone or a certain style sometimes, men's clothes are limited in choice so there isn't as much versatility as women's clothing. The reason why I like one fade and dark jeans are because it doesn't have that clashing wash or weird fades. I'm into very formal casual fashion, so its either slacks or dark jeans. Individualism can also sometimes be mistaken as, "Hipster trash." Having your own style to no basic outlines makes you look like someone from Helsinki. Indeed it will, I can't wait.
