I think you guys better start researching the fountain of youth before teraforming anything or moving to another planet light years away, because last time I checked, we don't have light speed capabilities, and our space technology is very low. Maybe 500 years from now, but definatly not today. Just enjoy your lifes and stop worrying, you'll be dead before you hit another planet :P ~Defender~

in numbers? Probaly not for a few years. in quality? hell yeah. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy WoW. However saying that nothing is going to 'overtake it' is just foolish. This year and the start of 2008 are going to be huge for MMORPGs with large releases such as Warhammer online and Age of Conan coming out. At any rate I do admire the devs behind Guild Wars. The PvP system was very ballanced for the most part (power teams got anoying but nothing you can do to really stop that) and I gotta say I am somewhat looking foward to how this plays out. I played Guild Wars for a while but quit because of the lack of content. We'll see how it plays out. I really wouldn't call the system balanced anymore. It appears that Anet gives the most powerful builds to those who purchase the latest campaign. Yeah I'm talking about Nightfall. I have Prohecies and Factions, but the only monks that I find "hard" to kill are nightfall ones. Zealous Benidiction is a very powerful skill for monks to have, even though they nerfed the energy gain by 3 points, its almost still considered a "free" spell. There's a few other spells, such as the one that lets you cast 50% faster and heal 50% more. Thats a very powerful skill as well. It just completely over took Aura of Faith, which lets you heal someone for 50% for 60 seconds. Like wtf.. Seriously, they need to buff some old school skills. Faction skills are COMPLETELY useless, I only got it for rit and assasin class because the monk spells but 1, Blessed Light, are pretty worthless. ~Defender~

Personally I say we are extreemly lucky. Everything on earth supports life to the smallest elements of degree. Any other planet, while it may "look" inhabital, its most likely not. It might get far too cold at night, the sun may not close enough to support life. Is water there? Can water be there? Its just not a place we can live. Trust me, they will be something wrong with it. The chances of finding another "earth" is very very slim. ~Defender~

I read that, they are NOT doing what I am discussing here. What they are doing is letting the community test and debug games. My idea is to let the community CREATE the game, like they did with Linux. Now with 1 man or even a handful, its a impossible job. However, with the entire internet of programmers helping you, you'll get that game up to top notch quick, as long as everyone does their part. Who knows, if it works out pretty great, a second MMORPG of a different style setting could take play. ~Defender~ I'm fairly sure the community is making it. Its not open source but its large enough cast of people they are picking. yeah if they are testing it and debugging of course they have things to give the developers...what do you think game testers do...they don't JUST test games, they suggest things to add, things they didn't like, graphical errors, story errors etc Excatly. They suggest changes, they don't literally make those changes. The company's programmers do. The changes in this game will be created by the community itself. Its not the same thing, trust me. Also, a beta testers job is to find all types of glitchs, redo the glitchs again. Just saying "walking down road, and fell off" doesn't help the programmers at all. Basically instead of hiring beta testers, they are letting the community do it to safe some money. (Remember its all about the dollar to a companies) The actually game will be created by their programmers, not beta testers. Even suggestive ideas are that only, suggestive, not things that will actually take place in the game or ever. This game will be a world that ever expands from the community itself. You'll always get updates with the game because everyone's always working on it, which gives it high quality tone. ~Defender~

If the Christian God exists, hell does not exist. It's an illogical concept when refering to Gods attributes. Are you compassionate? If so, then would you save your child from going to hell? Of course you would, and you are not even infinitley compassionate like God. So if God is infinitley compassionate he would never even think of sending his children to hell. As Engles i think said "God is the sewer in which all contradictions flow". I agree with you. God would never think of sending his children to hell. He loves them so much. But the kids turn around and say "i'm jumping in anyway!" and off they go.. The truth is, if God had the choice in the matter, everyone would go to heaven. But we have the choice of where we go. What? You think God sent Jesus to die for our sins just so half could go to heaven and the other half hell? No, it says God sent Jesus so that NONE shall perish but have everlasting life. It says many times in the Bible how God says the choice of life and death or heaven and hell is our choice, not his. If you say "God I will have nothing to do with you", then guess what happens? You have nothing to do with God. You made that choice, God isn't gonna change your will about it. God sends no one to hell. People send themselfs. It only goes to show you how stupid a person can get. ~Defender~

Hey guys, I been doing some thinking. You know.. we sit here and wait for the next big company out there to supply us with a fun filled gaming enviroment. Truth is, half the games can be considered scrap metal and I think the reason why is because most companies are not gamers themselfs, their in it for the bucks. So they don't understand us or what we want. Reguardless, Linux has given me a wonderful Idea. The brilliance of Linux is that its a Operating System thats completely free, open sourced code, thats available to everyone. Or another words, it was done by the community! How kewl! Well, the internet is a fairly large place. What if we created a MMORPG that was created by the community? Of course, their would be a filter to what goes in and out of the game to prevent hackers. It would be awesome to see the community develop a game. When I say community, i'm not talking about tip it. I"m talking about the community of the internet! There would be tons of programmers on the job, performing whatever task they are assigned, or would like to do. It would be great to see a MMORPG that has graphics like guildwars, or higher, and the freedom and gameplay of WoW, but completely free and made by the community. Seriously, why not make our own games? Why wait to shell out big bucks to these corperations who do not even know what we want? I'm not saying it will be easy.. i'm not saying it will be quick.. but I am saying, it will be a one heck of a adventure to make such a thing a reality. Just post some feedback here on what you think of the idea. If its a popular demand, i'll do whatever I can on my part to help get it started. ~Defender~

I enjoyed Phophecies very very much, didn't really care for factions though. I am disappointed though.. with all the campaigns comming out, it sorta split the community 3 ways. We are not all trying to achieve the same goal now as when there was only 1 campaign. Some areas are literaly DEAD at night. Now with Guild wars 2 on the way, people are going to chunk and throw away guild wars 1. When they can't find anymore poeple to play, it will die. Sad really.. I never even won the hall of hero's before, I been there, but never won it. Guess I better go do all that stuff now before GW2 hits and no one plays gw1 again. :( ~Defender~

No, we base our lives on scripture! Its Gods word. Missing the meaning of what God is saying in the scripture is mans fault, not God, and when you don't have the truth, because you missed it, you form ideas that are not biblical, and thus spawn the denominations. I call it Religion. God says 2+2 is 4. Religion says it can be 3,5, or any number you want it to be, as long as you don't claim it to be 4. Religion is basically what people think you should do, rather than doing what God says to do. Its people who have missed the Truth. How many times back in the days did Christians think it was bad to wear make up to church? Some of the girls needed make up badly XD Its missing the truth, like these, that makes churchs into a Religion. But basing your life on Gods real truth, when you understand know the meaning of his truths, the real meaning of what he says in everything and every word, that is what will set you free. How you know you get the interpretation correct is based on what the other scriptures say. If tons of scriptures can back up 1 scripture, you got it. However most people claim stuff that isn't even biblical to claim.. such as looking at a woman, then praying she will marry you. That is not bibical.. what is biblical however is believing God will provide a mate for you because he doesn't want any man to be alone, he didn't see it as a good thing for a man to be alone, which to back it up on scripture, it says so in Genesis. You can definatly believe God for that. ~Defender~

Wow, just think of the freedom Runescape would have with a 3d engine like that! Makes me want to scream "scrap java and go for this!", just remove the army uniform. :XD: Oh and as for Crysis, it doesn't "just" have killer graphics, it probably is one of the most FREE games, in terms of what you can do, to ever exist. For example: the mountains you see in the long distance? No, they aren't just images to look pretty! You can actually go to them if you start walking to them.. climb them, ect. ~Defender~

You just went against all which The Bible is about. :roll: Considering it talks about Heaven and Hell way back in the Old Testament and throughout the Gospel Books in the New Testament it wasn't created by the catholics in medieval times. And considering it also talks about Lucifer the "Arch Angel" falling from heaven and taking a third of the angels with him in rebellion and creating hell, your "perception" of Christianity (according to the Bible) which we base our beliefs off is undeniably of course and quite ignorant from a Christians perspective. And also directed at your last statement "Do good and the rest will follow" has nothing to do with whether or not you'd be accepted into heaven or not considering its all about repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus into your life. Doing good won't ever get you into heaven (which the Bible outlines quite distinctively throughout). I really haven't ever heard quite warped and manipulated beliefs from a Christian before to suit the way they live their life. What's wrong with interpreting the religion how he sees it? Not everyone follows the Bible to the letter, you know. I'm sure when Judgment Day comes around God won't be asking him/her about his/her interpretation on why he/she should be allowed to enter heaven for all of eternity. God outlined it all pretty clear in The Bible and says to live by it. There's no "grey areas", unlike what some people think, just so that they can justify in their own minds, the way that they are living their life. :wink: If there are no greay areas, as you suggest, then why do we have denominations? Why do people interpret the bible in wildly different ways? Why do people stray from the apparant basic message of love? Denominations are not grey areas. Its people misunderstanding the bibles meaning or choose not to accept what it says, such as their being a Holy Spirit (Baptists). Grey areas are Maybe's, not missed Truths. Edit: Who says God isn't? You don't speak for God, so how can you know this? Its only a speculation on your part, so I don't know why you brought it up.. inless you trying to tell others you want them to believe that God is a person really just trying to manipulate you based on your own perspective of what God is like. ~Defender~

Okay, I can do a few of them, but not all.. Speaking of Denominations, those are men made. It was never Gods intentions for denominations to be, therefor I don't have one. I base my "belief" as you call it, strickly on what is Biblical. If God didn't say it, don't believe it. If God did say it, believe it. The thing about these "contradictions" are laughable. They take 1 setence of something God said, then take another sentence and say God is a liar. However, stop magnifiying these 2 sentences, back up and see the bigger picture.. why is God saying that? "This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing". Jeremiah 13:10 You should read the whole book first. Remember this is under the old testament, so they are not under the grace as we are today through Jesus Christ. So God being good to all is true. These people were not worshiping God.. and God was then all of a sudden sending wrath down apon them for them praising him was they? Obviously they was breaking commandments, chose cursing as it says in Duteronomy, and got death as a reaping. Can a Commander not be a peacemaker? Also, this is not a contradiction. One describes Gods nature, the other describes Gods skill. Exo is in the old testament, before the new covanent. The scene is when all the Egyptians soldiers drowned in the sea when it collasped on them. Moses praised God and said "The lord is a man of war". Now in the new testament, he is know as the God of Peace. So whats the deal? Here's a question for you. What comes after War? Peace.. After the war, comes a timeline of peace. If God was War only, then we'd all be dead. If there was peace only, evil men would rule. The truth is, God is both. Just like a Commander of a Army can be both. Moses term of God being a man of war is not so much as Gods nature, but Gods skill in being able to handle the battlefield. It says the lord is a man of war, not a God of war. Just another mis-understanding of what its really being said. Put yourself in Moses shoes.. wouldn't you be scared if you said "God loves war!". No, he says God is a man of war.. he knows what he's doing on the field. Its not his nature for War tho.. he's a God of peace. I love this one, well the answer is Beast. Gen 1:25 and Gen 1:26 is the correct order. Listen to this though.. This starts at Genesis chapter 2 verse 4. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and wated the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Stop.. Okay this is a picture that says Adam is being created and born into a living soul. So.. the animals are already existing.. it shows in the passage just above us that plants existed and how they got water. Therefor, the animals had something to eat.. there was plants to eat so they could survive. Lets continue... And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Stop.. Notice how Eden didn't exist before the man was created. It was created AFTER the man. Now lets continue.. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Stop.. Notice how God is making tree's grow here.. so if there was no tree's here in the first place.. most likely there is not any animals because animals are nomads, they follow the food. Then it goes on to say how God created 4 rivers and their names.. which can conclude since there was no water here.. there would be no animals roaming around this area. Animals need water to live. And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Then he goes on to tell Adam not to eat the fruit, and then it starts here.. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; (he was alone, no animals lived because Eden was previously a desert, no animals lived there and its a recently fresh foundation of life in the middle of no where) I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. Stop.. and concluding this.. Notice how Adam gave names to only the creatures of the air and the ground. He never gave names to the creepy crawlers or the fish in the sea. Nor does it say at that point in time God made the fish in the sea. So we can say that this is not a contradiction, but a misunderstanding of the timeline of the events that was happening. There is no contradictions in the Bible, only mis-understanding of what the Bible is saying. For example.. someone may say "Your not a true christian inless you give all your stuff to the poor". We can all recall where Jesus commanded it by talking to the boy who was rich right? This is simpley just a mis-understanding. Jesus never commanded anyone to give their stuff to the poor. Jesus commanded the boy he was talking to, he was not commanding the church. Think about it for a second.. watch what the boy said "what must I do?".. and Jesus gave him the commandments.. notice Jesus didn't add anything onto it and that would have been the end of the conversation.. but the boy persisted.. "I have done those things my Lord, what else must I do?" So Jesus said "IF" you want to be perfect, go give your stuff to the poor and then come and follow me. The choice was the young lad, but it was not a neccesity or a requirement. Jesus only said "Follow me" to the 12 disciples, he knew he was going to loose Judas, and this guy right here might make a great replacement. This kid was being offer the position of a lifetime... but he turned it down. It was not a commandment, but people treat it as such, and your not a "true" christian inless your a poor christian. Its mis-understandings like these that get the real truth of the Bible wrong. Thats why people miss the mark with their faith, they are believing unbiblical things. ~Defender~

Funny, your saying you won't believe in God, won't trust what his son did for you to save you.. but your definatly hoping he will re-send you back to the earth for a second chance, otherwise he doesn't care? And to be sent back for what? You already said you didn't believe the first time.. hoping to believe Jesus the second time and strike it lucky? That is not biblical. Deuteronomy 30:19 Why would God tell us to choose life, if he is the one who chooses who is going to heaven or hell? That would make God a lier, to tell us to do something when he really has is the one deciding for us. Edit: xvillexvalox that is not true also. Jesus says love God with all your soul, mind, body and heart. And love everyone else as you love yourself. All the commandents and laws hang on these 2. That means if you did the first and second commandment, you'd be straight on everything else. Which goes to show you, the Bible is about Love.. not about hating people. Never once did Jesus say "hate him because he believes not". Infact, the Bible says Jesus died while men were still ungodly! Thats love for sinners right there, when you sacrifice your life for them! He didn't send rain storms of angels down to kill em! There wouldn't be a single christian today had Jesus done that! ~Defender~

What are you talking about? That is me talking to you about it in a literal way. Its as easy as that. People display Jesus like commerical ad products. Yes! You got Jesus man, your saved! well wait.. inless... first.. you gotta do this over here.. then skrew that right there.. and tada! A bed! Wait.. wasn't we talking about Jesus or something? No where in the Bible does it say you do not choose your path and God does it for you. Heck, if it was like that, we would all be pre-destinied for heaven or hell. But the Bible writes that God wishs that non would perish and have everlasting life. Heaven is free. Heaven is a choice. Its simpley just accepting that sins from Adam were wiped away through Jesus Christs blood. If you don't let Jesus blood wipe out your sins, then you will have to pay for your sins to God. Which in that case is basically hell. If Jesus never went to hell, then we have to go. Thankfully, he chose to go for us and in our place.. and now we don't have to go! Its that simple.. you don't buy heaven with works and morals, and why would you want to anyway? That would be a LOT of hard work!!! Jesus paid for all our sins. The ones who are not going to heaven are the ones who take their sins apon themself to pay the price which cannot be paid by their own blood. Walking the word of God and in love is loving God. People think that if you don't walk in the word after being a christian makes you a old sinner and a hell bound boy. Nothing could be further than the truth. God handled all sin in the world with Jesus blood. In Gods eyes, every one on the earth is free from sin. The only ones not going to heaven are the ones who won't accept that Jesus paid the price for it. You recieve Salvation through faith in believeing Jesus paid the price for your own sin. It doesn't get any more simpler than that. Do you believe in gravity? Yes. Do you believe in water? Yes. Do you believe in Jesus? whoa wait a second now.. Its a simple "Yes, I believe he died for me.. and rose again", and ta-da, your saved. God did ALLLLL the hardwork that needed to be done. Now since he can't impose on our will, all he is saying, "Just believe" (or recieve), and you got it.. your saved.. its done. Welcome to the kingdom. Welcome to heaven. Its not difficult at all! Christians make it sound like you gotta straightin up your act afterwards too or you will be hell bound. Not true. Now you shouldn't live a life of sin, but God loves you so much, your mind cannot understand his mercies and graces. Its shocking and marvelous to men. ~Defender~

He's going to help you through this. don't i know it...it's just so hard. i know i am going to know another person on the death list :cry: Your friends aren't dead. They are still alive, just in a location that we can't travel to yet. You'll get to see them all over again in heaven. They will have smiles on their faces, and you'll have a bigger one going from earth to heaven, and knowing everything is okay!
