Fromw hat you say, you seem like you'll eventually go and do the same thing in a few years. :| There are a LOT of homeless commities in my area alone, I help sometimes along with my grandma. People do care. Just because your area is covered, doesn't mean every where else is. We are talking about the entire United States. And no, thats just the proccess of what happens in people's minds. It doesn't matter if you ban guns. That will really only endanger you more IMO. Because when the insanity of a person has one and not a single weapon can be found in your home or location.. your skrewed. I think everyone should have a gun for protection.. the kids in the college didn't have any protection, when they should have, which is where the problem came to be. Had those kids in class had a gun, he wouldn't have killed as many people as he did. Guns are still a highly responsible object and just should not be passed as toys. Yet.. there definatly needs to be more protection in schools. Where the hell was the security and police that patrol campuses.. The world is colder than you guys give it credit for. If your stuck on the street.. the government won't come with food and loving arms. Only families and friends do that.. Volenteer workers for organizations to help the poor. When your depressed.. friends and family sometimes doesn't come to your rescue. Your left with a sense that no one cares.. because no one comes to say they care. I think what everyone wants in this world is to be cared for. That someone loves them. No one really knows the need for love till one loses it. If love is not present, hate and insanity takes its place.. And since no one cares about you, you don't care about no one else. Well, reguardless if they come out with Resident Evil 5 or not, here is my advice on both games. If your going to bed, make sure you hide the game or no one else is playing it. Otherwise you will have great dreams, only to find out, that the innocent bystanders of fish in the sea, and their city, will be under attack by killer jelly fishs and other sea creatures. A massive amount of destruction occurs with fish eating fish and your running/swimming for your life, jumping on fish sea buildings to escape! Yeah, thats basically what happened when I woke up and my brother was playing Resident evil 4. Apparently the sounds of the game effect your dreams during sleep :P ~Defender~

I think the perfect MMORPG is the one that gives you infinite possibilities to do what you want to do. Seems impossible, but i'm sure it would be possible to create. ~Defender~

You know what though? You actually proved my point. In a 2d enviroment, the engine is very limited to what you could do in a 3d world, which is why it wouldn't be fun! You simpley cannot produce halo now, and have excatly everything the same on a 2d board. There would be too many game engine restrictions! Now I admit, I don't want to see some low detailed images myself, and no one does, but putting that aside, graphics does not produce the "Fun factor" in video games, the engine and your freedom of the game does. ~Defender~

For over the years since the dawning of Ping Pong.. Gamers around the world have had a strong desire for better, more realistic graphics in a video game. People believe that a game with better graphics, obviously leads down to a course of it being a better game. Revelation? No, it doesn't! EEEK! Look at cartoony WoW. It certainly does not have very realistic graphics at all, but its the most popular MMORPG in the world. So whats the deal? Why are gamers like us so infused with better graphics, only to walk around disappointed with a decent deck of pixels and eye candy images filling our computer screens? The answer is simple. All along, we used the wrong term to describe our desires. When we said we wanted Realistic Graphics, what we really meant to say is "We want realistic gameplay". One can only assume you get realistic gameplay, only if the graphics can match it. So if we tagged up Runescape 3, made it look all buffy and shiny, would it be a better game than Runescape 2? Absoutely not! Gameplay decides that. What produces the gameplay of a game? The Engine. The Engine is the very core to our pleasures and delights in a game. Whoa, wait a second now.. why excatly is the engine so important? The Engine Divides Graphics with Freedom. Hey, what if in Runescape you could make a magic fireball so big, that it shot out of your hands, and anyone it hits was burned to a crisp and the tree's were caught on fire? Only to burn to ashs moments later. Its not so much a matter of "graphics" to give you this kind of quality is it? Or this kind of freedom? No, Its a matter of "can the engine produce it?" The very engine in a game is the Freedom Producing Quality us gamers come to expect and enjoy while forking over cash in terms to the developers to produce extra freedom/funfilled enviroments. So why is the game development industry as a whole spend millions to develop massive MMORPG's, only to come up short on the end side? Yes, they have great eye candy features. Yes, they have great detailed graphics. Yes, they have alot of nifty features. But they don't give the player Free Will. Often the Engine has its hands tied by its back, telling players what they can and can't do. Thats what makes games dull, boring and repetitive. Its the new things we try to think of and attempt to do, that makes it seem infinitely boundless and a new world each time. To prove my point, here is a video of a game with killer graphics. But you want to know what the shocking point is? This is a game developing company that chose not to work on graphics as its "big time thinger for the reason you should play and spend money on". No, the whole reason they made this game is to improve the games "engine". While watching the video, just look at how much freedom you will have in this game. This is what i'm talking about! Engines produce Freedom! I think its time we should let the game industry know and let Jagex know, pretty graphics is nice, but we desire more freedom, and only the engine can do that! The sad part is, the game is FPS. What if this Engine had been used to to create a MMORPG? You could image the chaos (and the lag, lol) that it could create! But it was be awesome, it would be kewl, it would be worth it! So what is your take on improved graphics? I think graphics now days are only bonuses to a game's presentation, but not its true apperance. Your freedom in game, is what games are really about! ~Defender~

Hey guys, I'm not much a network engineer and you guys probably aren't either, lol, but it doesn't hurt to try and ask. Anyways, I got the new demo Dawn of Magic and I want to play Via IP with my friend. Well I hosted a game, gave him my IP and Port and he couldn't connect.. so he gave me his IP and port and I couldn't connect to him. Whats the deal? Both our firewalls, as far as we know are disabled.. and I have a DSL connection.. Why can't we connect via IP? ~Defender~

How densensitized are you? I hate to be densensitized, but I am. People can get shot, and I think nothing of it. Curse words can fill the screen, but it doesn't come to my mind on how bad it is. Cartoons can teach wrong morals and it doesn't play a tune in my head. I hate being densensitized. When people cry, I just look and stare.. not having any emotion or even sympathy. As a person, I want to make things better, I want to make things right, I want to show emotional effection for the hurt, but i'm densensitized. I believe 1 cause of this is video games. I have probably witnessed over 1 million deaths and think nothing of it. Games like CNC 3, where I blow up tanks, or Generals and watch my troops get poisoned. I use to like pokemon, back when it VERY first started for a year or 2. Now they changed it up so much, and the conversations they have during episodes are so repeatitive, you can already tell whats going to happen before it happens. Hell, I did it on a cartoon show today that I never saw. 3 kids walking down a street, get spashed by water on the side of the road by a jock in his new car. The kid wishs he was older... and yup, he gets older by a monster. I was thinking, he will learn he really never wished he was old and the jock who splashed him with the car will have a wreck. Sure enough, it happened at the end. Still a good cartoon show tho. ~Defender~

Okay guys, I finally decided to give WoW a try since its so popular. So last night I downloaded the game client.. I go to set up a account.. and wudda ya know? They want a credit card. No biggy.. they say its for verification only and you even don't have to go through this process to have a trial account. So, I enter my details only to be greeted with "error, please contact are billing support". I check out my credit card homepage, and everything is fine.. except.. all I got on the card atm is 2 dollars. Are they not taking it because they want to verify I have 15$ so they can charge me at the end of the month? Nothing is wrong with my card, something is wrong with their systems! Probably can't detect enough money on me :P Anyways, does anyone know how I can get a account without the stupid credit card verification proccess that it claims I do not even need to do? ~Defender~

I tried eve but I found it completely boring.. wee i'm zooming through space.. doing nothing. I did skip through the tutorial after 30 minutes because I wanted to see what the fighting action was like.. only to be greeted with a loney space atmosphere and a busy chat line. To me, a game shouldn't be this complex. ~Defender~
