  1. Sorry, I misses that you're a diyer. It's still best to not use a blastbox. Blast spells are terrible dps.
  2. It's like the vls of ranging, except not nearly as expensive, repairable for free, and likely has a higher marginal dps. Dont you have to wait till its completely broken to repair it and then use all of the parts to make it again thus making it not free? QBD recharges it with her extreme fire.
  3. Harpie/10
  4. Does anyone have any information about how he's training, like specific tricks he uses? I wouldn't mind learning a thing or two.
  5. There are two viable ways to train range: Chinning Cannoning slayer tasks Chinning will be the fastest xp/hour, but it can be costly, especially at lower levels. Regardless, it's the most efficient way to gain pure range xp after 55 range. You can search these boards for other chinning topics for more information. You need 43 prayer (protect from melee) to chin effectively. Cannoning while slaying is the most efficient. It's not terribly expensive, but it can cause slayer to be unprofitable. However, it greatly speeds up slayer xp, as well as providing a good amount of range xp. If you value slayer xp, this is by far the most efficient way to train ranging. Because range is so weak, it's not worth going somewhere and shooting monsters up with a crossbow. The xp will be so slow that you could chin and make money in the time you save. If your goal is to make a pure, then I'd consider waiting until we get more information about the combat overhaul. All your effort could potentially be wasted. If you're dead set on making one, at least consider raising your defense through quests. The rewards you unlock are more than worth it, and doing them now will prevent you from going over your desired defence level. If you're not making a pure, I'd recommend training your melee skills more evenly before they get into the 80s. The armor and weapons you unlock far exceed the benefit of training strength first for the small dps boost.
  6. Watatroll... I am doubtful. I'm not trolling in the slightest and wouldn't be surprised if they somehow incorporated microtransactions into the hotbar. I think you are, not that i'm calling you out for beig a 'bad' troll, but everyone trolls jagex. It's pretty much a community ritual done at any point of an update. Whether its a teaser, playing the update for the first time, playing it after its been patched/nerfed/revamped there is always someone trolling jagex. It goes hand in hand with jagex's inability to meet players expectations with a reasonable track record. Lately also there's been these SoF-based trollings and it's kind of annoying to see them and I'm thinking that's why I choose to respond. n Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community. EG not a troll. I just dislike ppl misusing words. A troll was originally someone who acted out on the internet in order to get attention. Anyway, C14 (Nash) is going to be happy if you can click a button on the hotbar to eat food and stuff: http://forum.tip.it/topic/303622-beast-of-burdens-overloads-and-new-hot-keys/
  7. It's like the vls of ranging, except not nearly as expensive, repairable for free, and likely has a higher marginal dps.
  8. What about the obby sword and the berserker necklace? I updated the spreadsheet to include it. It's the best vs low defense (and presumably tzhaar holding the obby sword cuz of the 30% attack multiplier). It quickly becomes much worse once you add a bit of defense.
  9. The general rule of thumb for gear upgrades is to buy the cheapest strength bonus first. Atm the order is zerkers>fury>bcp>tassets. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AheuzHmAkHUNdDhiZFBjTEZtaUxBRGVFUU9FMW4xQ2c
  10. I assumed that or perhaps summoning special bar or something to do with what spec restore etc are being repurposed too. Ya, it probably is the spec bar.
  11. I assumed that it was a health bar.
  12. Blastboxes are far from being worth it. It's not like 70 magic and rc take that long, anyway.
  13. Nope, it irk's me too. 9 is just an odd number in my opinion. 9 is, in fact, an odd number :P I still think it was done for testing purposes, but that doesn't necessarily rule out the other suggestions.
  14. It could just be for testing purposes.
  15. 95 agil get gonna do 90-95 hunter this weekend and get 2400, watch. Also, I have a bandos event tomorororororrow and I wouldn't mind if some people came, so come. @@@
  16. By the end of the summer, there's going to be close to 1 mask per person playing RS, or maybe half a mask per person at the worst. Basically, unless there's a massive increase in the amount of players after this summer, there's going to be plenty of fish masks to go around, effectively making the nonexistent influx irrelevant. Maybe in a year or so the price will be significantly higher than what it is now, but it'll always be the cheapest rare.
  17. EDT is eastern US, EST is eastern Australia, confusing, I know. The event will be at 4 pm tomorrow for those of you on the east coast of the US.
  18. Only the Bandos event has been posted. You can find the thread here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/311941-bandos-gwd-slaughter-part-i/
  19. I like the idea of having different ranges for magic. Wands would be short range (like within melee distance) but have like a 35% damage boost, staves would be med range and be 10-25% like we have now. You could also introduce a new weapon for long range, it'd be inaccurate, but could hit more than one enemy. You could do the same with range, just make knives short range, crossbows med range, and bows longrange. Also, find a use for javelins and thrownaxes. They are so useless >.> I've also been thinking about a system where you can control your familiar like you control your character. You could do like alt+left click to move your familiar. This would make them a lot more interactive and probably less annoying to use.
  20. My ideas for rs3: Create a Dungeoneering-like combat system where monsters are weak to 1 style and strong against the rest. This creates a need for the next point. Every weapon should have a purpose somewhere Maces vs low crush defense, warhammers vs medium, 2hs vs high. Repeat with daggers, longswords, spears for stab and claws, scimitars, and battleaxes for slash. Remove unnecessary weaponry, such as spears and short swords. Find a use for halberd's extra range, since it's a really cool effect and it's a shame they suck so much. Combine certain skills there is no need for mining, woodcutting, fishing, and farming. A simple gatherer skill would make everything simpler. It'd have to be balanced it so each aspect has a purpose, you don't want people never mining anything because it's bad xp. Collapse processing skills It takes way too long to reach the level required to smith a rune plate. Why should you need 99 smithing to make a lvl 40 platebody? 40 smithing should unlock all rune equipment. This creates room for life-point boosting armor, weapon/armor add-ons, etc. The sky's the limit. Fix soaking Currently, you don't need defensive armor for anything because armor only affects accuracy. Maybe if armor cut damage taken by a percent, there'd be more of an incentive to use it. Also, cut that "minimum of 200 damage" crap. The soak should affect all hits.
  21. I've farmed around that number with T2 and I see small, dead herbs regularly. Damn farming ticks. Old post, but idc When you see a small dead herb, it got diseased in the 2nd stage. It looks small because it never had the chance to actually grow. Your aura is working fine.
  22. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AheuzHmAkHUNdG5qYUhmVlBJUGhkNnFqM21zV0g5enc At 60 attack and 70 strength, the dragon scimitar is the best dragon weapon vs any defense. This was calculated using only the weapon and the dragon defender if applicable. I think this shows just how crappy the combat system is. There's only one dragon weapon worth using (aside from the dagger and claws for specs), rather than every weapon having a use somewhere.
