My next door neighbor has a Ps3. He has to turn it on 4 or 5 times for it to start right..other times, it won't respond. If it has a disc, sometimes it won't read. Even if it's brand-new. And he's had it since launch. My friend who has a Ps3, and he got it a few months ago, has had to replace his controller. The analog sticks stopped responding right. [hide=story]I really don't think Sony is building their products right..I once had a thought that it was all for you to go out and buy another console, and was planned, but that's kind of a silly idea. My friend's Ps2, he has had his about as long as I have (4 or 5 years maybe? Not sure.) I have had few problems. His Ps2, however..stopped working suddenly. He was going to go and buy a new console..but I said,"No..wait. Let's look inside I hear something if you shake it." We opened it up..and sure enough, a cable had come loose from it's socket. We stuck it back in, and it worked perfectly, almost as if it was brand new. Kind of pitiful, how an INTERNAL error that could easily be prevented by SONY, was able to occur..and even more so based on the fact that he was about to go spend a hundred bucks on a new one.[/hide] So yeah. That's what has happened to their Ps3's..and Ps2 if you read the hidden one >.> Then again, the majority of people I know have experienced no problems. Just those few..oh, and the guy across the street 's ps2 fell off..it was broken instantly >.>..anyways, that's what happened. Mechanical errors can occur pretty easily. There was no extremities, no week-long gaming sessions, no bad tempers....no nothing, just mechanical errors.

Sony in 10 years:

Yeah, the 360 has HD DVD. But it isn't one of the 'Main Features' of the console, like Blue-Ray s with the PS3 :roll: And, the flaws on the PS3? Poorly made hardware (Come on, you know if my friend's PS3 controller broke in about a month from casual gameplay, it's crappily built..especially when I have had an Xbox for 2 years and only replaced the controller once.), a crappy library, many bugs and flaws, and above all, a crappy company trying to distribute it :XD: Yes, the 360 has flaws..like the Red Rings of Death. But guess what? Microsoft has a 3 year warranty in effect now. If you have EVER had a faulty console, or have one in the future, you can now send it in for repairs. And that's if you've EVER had one. And it's free. Almost any flaw with a 360, and you'll have a free repair. PS: Stop double-posting, and learn to Make a proper sentence. If that doesn't matter, neither does your argument.

I doubt DVDs will be going anywhere any time soon. And I'm SURE that by the time people are willing to pay $1000 (at least that's what I heard the price was, I may be horribly wrong here) for a blue ray player, or $500-$600 for a Ps3..it will be standard for consoles.

You should care. Not all multi-games are bad (CoD, Oblivion, Morrowind, Final Fantasy..among others)..but most of the PS3's big, name games are on other systems. Oblivion? 360 or PC. CoD 3? PS2, xbox, xbox 360. If the Ps3 can't get any exclusive games besides Fight Night, maybe a couple other sports games, and that racing game..it won't sell systems.

Alright, thanks..I'll probably end up buying it for $20 over at walmart. That, or Steam..most likely walmart. :lol: It includes HL2: Deathmatch..so..I'll be entertained for a bit ^_^

Blue-ray is near-useless in my book. Until Sony actually shows us something NEW and exciting that they've done with blue-ray, I don't care until they show me something revolutionary, different, and unheard of in gaming. Sure, blue-ray has 52 Gigs, but hey..it's biggest game so far is Oblivion, which is also on the PC and xbox 360 :XD: As for Sound Quality and Better graphics...I don't care about graphics or sound. in fact, I play a game where the graphics can be made in ms paint and the sound is just hand made somethinoranother. yet, it's one of the deepest, greatest games I've ever played. If Sony is just going to say 'Hey, we can pump great graphics, sound, and speed into this game..even if the gameplay isn't that great", then they're going to lose a ton of customers.

Yes. He is duplicating the original copy, which is perfectly legal, but he is also selling the original. In a sense, he is obtaining illegal copies of the game. doing that is no different than just buying a discount bootleg copy of it. Taking copyrighted software/games/etc., duplicating it, then re-selling the original and keeping your duplications is illegal. however, taking what you already own and making a copy of it for, say..your immediate family is perfectly legal.

Ok. I have Half Life 2 for the Xbox, and I've about beat it. But I have been wanting to try it on the PC, as well as the original half life and Counter-strike: source. So..my friend has a special pack that has HL 1: S, HL 2, a couple of other games and Counterstrike: source. I'm interested in it because of the number of mods and extra content available for download...oh, and for some of the Half Life 2 PC-only cheats :oops: So..should I try to buy it somewhere? Or should I pass?

Nothing really. But..there is one semi-[developmentally delayed]ed question.. If the universe is ever-expanding (as some claim), then isn't it possible that Intelligent life outside of Earth is possible, or even being created as we speak?

I'd say get a DS..but hey, it's your pick. I've played some Twisted Metal game on there..that was good. That, Battlefront, Socom, and Loco Roco (that lttle blob game) :thumbsup:

Well, let's see...A year, the 360 has some good games (Only in my opinion), however, the PS3 continues to do terrible and thusly, many companies have said screw and went to where they can make money. There is also another thing the PS3 can't do: Sell a lot of consoles. Well, that's two. Can anyone find anything else? :P EDIT: W00t! With them pulling the old ones from shelves, and supposedly making Ps3's with bigger hard drives to replace them, plus the price cut on the 60 gb..I still doubt they will sell much. But does that sound familiar? Adding a new console with a bigger hard drive..and a price cut..sounds like what Microsoft did (or is rumored to do, with the cut) by adding the elite, eh? sounds like copying to me :notalk:

Besides GTA: VC (How can you not love that music)..probably Morrowind. One of the Reasons I play these 2 games is to hear their excellent music as I am gunning down thousands of party-goers at the malibu or trekking through the Foyada to get to the north...they both fit perfectly.

Vice City..nothing beats VRock 8-)
