Were the Atomic Attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Justified?
I believe it was justified. If we would have invaded Okinawa, and then Japan..millions of Japanese and American lives would have been lost. not to mention that we were fighting an enemy whos soldiers would kill themselves rather than let an opponent kill them in combat. What I'm kind of saying..we kind of saved lives in a way by dropping the bombs. In an invasion, we would have lost many more lives..both civilian and military, in war.

360 vs 360 Elite
For now, go with the Premium. It still has an HDMI port, 20GB HD..and if you want the 120GB HD later, then I think that you can buy it separate and it will work for the premium. I THINK..dont trust that too well ;)

what do you look for in a game before you buy it?
I look for good reviews on gamefaqs..if a game has 9/10, 10/10, 10/10, 9/10, 8/10, 10/10..it's good enough to check it out some more. If it's a 6/10, 4/10, 7/10, 9/10, 3/10...it is a no unless I've played it or have a great interest in it. After the reviews, I look for playability and concept. I look at the length..and details on why it is unique or a good game. Then, I consider buying it. I never consider graphics a factor of whether I buy a game or not..they aren't important IMO.

Stupid Age Limitation on Pokemon!?
[hide]1990's KIDS!! READ!!!! 1990's KIDS!!! READ!!!!!! You have to read all of this!! Remember when beepers was the thing to have : ) If you are under the age of 13...you should not read this and if you do, you should not repost this. Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid. It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it. You're a 90's kid if: You can finish this [ice ice _ _ _ _ ] You remember watching: -Doug -Ren & Stimpy -Pinky and the Brain -AAAAAAAH Real Monsters! -Rockos modern Life. You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!" You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiiiiiin west philidelphia born and raised . . ." You remember: -TGIF -Step by Step -Family Matters -Dinosaurs -Boy Meets World. You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school. You remember reading "Goosebumps" You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school. You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not when everyhting was settled by -rock paper scissors or -bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or -daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky. when cops and robbers was a daily activity. when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb. when we used to obey our parents You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time. "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show. Captain Planet. He's a Hero. You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together. ??? You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular. You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny. You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders" You remember watching: -The Magic School Bus -Wishbone -Reading Rainbow on PBS. You remember when Yo-Yos were cool. You remember those Where's Waldo books. You remember eating Warheads. You remember watching: -the 1st Batman -Aladdin -Ninja Turtles -3 Ninjas movies. You remember Ring Pops. You remember drinking Surge, and Tang. If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!" When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos. You remember boom boxes vs. cd players. Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them. You played and/or collected "Pogs" You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere. . . . Furbies. You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet. And Windows 95 was the best. You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles. Michael Jordan was a king. YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff! All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand. You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out You collected those Beanie Babies. Carebears Gak was the coolest stuff invented. Lambchop's song never ended. The old dollar bills. Silver dollars, which were cool to have. You remember a time before the WB. You collected all the Troll dolls If you even know what an original walkman is. You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch. You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" You know the Macarena by heart. "Talk to the hand" . . . enough said You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!" You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace. You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground. Before the MySpace frenzy . . . Before the Internet & text messaging . . . Before Sidekicks & iPods . . . Before MIKE JONES . . . Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . . Before Spongebob . . . Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night. When light up sneakers were cool. When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. When gas was $1.35 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing. When we recorded stuff on VCRs. When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman. When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do. You had slap braclets! Way back. Before we realized all this would eventually disappear. Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!![/hide] LOL..I remember almost every bit of this as a kid. Heh, I remember whenever VCRs were the way to go...I remember having a big rack of VHS tapes (I still do)..I even remember whenever tapes were out and CDs were in (over here, anyways)...lol, the 90's were great. Dial-up internet was a gift, Windows 95 and 98 were some of the greatest things around...*sigh* makes me wish it wasn't 2007. I also remember the Pokemon craze, DBZ and DB craze, whenever some people got back into Magic the gathering..heh, I loved it. Anyways...I don't get the people who say pokemon is a kids game and all. I personally dont like it. I still play it though. Why? It's an overall good and kind of fun RPG. I like how simple it was to learn..and then you still had to manage the entire party, it was just a fun game.

HOW to annoy the teacher xD
It depends. If they're really nice, and it's a fairly easy class..dont bother with them. If it's an extremely frustrating class (Algebra, for example)..and pretty much everyone hates the teacher, have a field day with it. Heck..I remember one day in Health.. We had a sub. We were probably her first class..ever. We had a field day. She turned around, and we'd start throwing pencils like knives at each other and tossing around paperwads..it was a load of fun. I sat in the back, just watching. She would yell a little, and turn around again to do something. We'd talk. Eventually, some of them just got out of control and started making most of the Free to Play RuneScape community look mature :P Long story short (in her own words), we were 'A sub's worst nightmare' \

review any of your favorite(or least fav) games here
Title: Gun Genre: Action, adventure, third-person shooter Platforms: Ps2, PC, Xbox, Xbox 360..not sure on Ps2. ESRB Rating: M (Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, use of alcohol)***** ***** - This is one of those special rare ESRB cases where the rating is actually *gasp* ACCURATE. This game, in my opinion, is NOT for anyone under 14. Do NOT let kids play this. It is extremely gory and violent..and the Strong Language..well, it's very common :) Just a warning by your friendly neighborhood forum idiot, AKA: Me :D [hide=Gun] Plot: This game is set in the old west. Lets clear that now. Yes, it is kind of country like. Yes, it is western. Yes, it is worth at LEAST a rental. I'm not going to tell much of the story here..as this game is very linear, I would only be able to tell the first 2 minutes without major spoilers. So no rating here. Graphics: For an older game, this is pretty good. Cloth flows around realistically, glass shatters on impact, guns sound decent and look decent..the models are fine (Although very overused)..the only complaint I have is the blood. It looks like little streaks of red sharpie marked falling. When it hits, it is great..but falling down? No. Anyways..if you trample someone with the horse, blood streaks across the ground appropriately..known them into a wall, there's a spatter of blood. Shoot them in the head, and little chunks come off and blood spits out....8/10 AI: The AI is ok. It is kind of fun how you can herd cattle and stuff, so thats a plus. During combat though, enemies act stupid. Some will run into the open randomly. Thats a big nono. Anyways. Most of the time, in low numbers, they will hide and use tactical advantages to their..well, advantage. Most will try and surround you or use a formation appropriately in combat. Another very minor thing is the way they act. If you shoot them in the stomach, they might fall down and bleed. However, if you approach..they may squirm, try and crawl backwards..or simply moan "Please..dont kill..me..". If you go for the scalping, they'll yell in pain and try to rip the knife away.....7/10 Gameplay: A very easy to control and easy to learn game. 'Nuff said. 10/10 Content: There are a few sidequests, but mostly, the game is linear. The world isn't that big, either. Once you fully beat the game, there's nothing much left to do. 7.5/10 OVERALL: 8.25/10 - Worth a rental, at the least. If you're a fan of the genre, or are mildly interested..give it a go. You probably wont be disappointed. Heck, its worth the $17 I paid. I recommend a rental though. The game is short..and there's not much replay value to it.[/hide]

Rubik's Cube: the most diabolical puzzle ever invented

Should I Pre-Order...
Should I go ahead and Pre-Order Halo 3? Ok, I'm working on buying a 360. As of now, I'll probably end up getting it mid-October at the earliest. I REALLY want Halo 3 to be my first 360 game. I'm worried that whenever I buy the 360, I wont be able to find a copy of Halo 3 without driving across the state or going to eBay..and I do NOT like buying things from Ebay. So, since I'll probably get the 360 after launch, should I just go ahead and pre-order Halo 3 so I'll have a copy whenever I get my 360 a month later? Or should I wait on it?

Woman arrested for putting salt on a burger.
This, along with the Tag banning, fining a guy because a police officer ran over his foot, is proof that we all need to go find a rock and hide under it for a good, long while.

Andufus - 6 months later, training slayer!
Hey, Good luck finishing up the quests you have left to complete. I hope you get the Quest Cape...I've quit RS now, and I've been gone since March..but I still remember the Capes, especially the Quest Cape. The QC is definitely the most impressive cape in the game. It shows you've taken the time and energy to go ahead and work hard at completing each and every quest in the game. Best of luck accomplishing the goal, I hope you do well

Freshmen, how has your school been so far?
I like it. I know my way around the school pretty well...I've made a few friends (Nerd Herd FTW (HEY..I just thought of something..I'm actually in higher standing in the NH right now (They have a ranking system)) ) ...I've already got a detention, I like all of my classes except for Algebra and PE (it's very intense right now). Lunches suck though. Here's the way PE class is.. 1st block is the Athletic kids. 2nd block is kind of fit/normal kids. 3rd block is just your average joes. 4th block is your misfits, weird guys, 'Other' group, and everyone else. 2 guesses where I am..heh, 'Other' group FTW

Highschool musical star implodes
I dont get it. You know Disney..they'll probably milk this situation for every nickel and dime that they can get out of it. Besides, I hate HSM. I was hoping the series was gone for good or something.

review any of your favorite(or least fav) games here
Sorry for 2 reviews in a row. STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic (AKA: KOTOR) Platform: PC and XBOX RATING: T for Violence..although there is some language too. [hide=Review of one of the greatest games out there.] STORY: You are a soldier in the Republic Fleet. Your ship is damaged, and you are assigned to go to Taris to see what happened to 2 lost escape pods and find Bastila. Along the way, you go through your character's life. GAMEPLAY: Perfect. Easy to learn, a challenge to master..it's a very addicting game. There are no flaws in Gameplay. 10/10 GRAPHICS: Good, although they could be better. Then again, it is an older game..so by today's standards, they aren't great. At the time, they were amazing though. I will go by yesterday's graphical standards..they were almost perfect. 9/10 CHARACTER: You have multiple choices on how you will play through the story, based on actions and personality. Kind of like Fable's system. There are enough things to do in this game to where you literally feel like you are in the Star Wars universe. 10/10 OVERALL FUN: This game kept ME entertained for HOURS. I'm a very spontaneous person..it's difficult for me to stay sitting down for 1 or 2 hours on a single game. I could spend all DAY on this. It's very fun and immersible..a very fun game. 10/10 OVERALL: I hate that this is not perfect..because of some graphical flaws. But, hey..graphics aren't everything. I know this doesn't add up right, but this game is no less than perfect..even if the graphics are a little outdated. 10/10 - A definite must have for every Xbox owner, RPG fan, and Star Wars fan. Heck, forget that. A must have for every Gamer.[/hide] Absolutely perfect.

FABLE: The lost Chapters PLATFORM(S): Xbox, PC RATING: M for Blood, Strong Language, Violence, Sexual Themes PLATFORM BEING REVIEWED: Xbox [hide=Fable]Ok. I'm sure we ALL know about Fable. STORY: You are a young, 18 year old male. In your past, in the village of Oakvale, you lived a peaceful life. One day, bandits attacked..and your world was ended forever. You were taken into the Heroes' Guild to be trained as a Hero..in order to fight for good..or for evil. You literally make your own story in this game. Simple..not too linear..and leaves a lot of room for the player to determine. 10/10 GAMEPLAY: Very responsive. The Xbox controller feels very, very good with this game. The only complaints I have are the way you switch weapons. I thought that the whole white/black button weapon switch was kind of easy to confuse..it actually got me killed once. That's another complaint..if you make money and buy health potions, you're just about immortal. Good luck dying. 8/10 GRAPHICS: Very good looking. The lighting is great..the NPCs look, act, and respond like real people almost. Very, very good. 9/10 AI: Almost perfect. The NPCs actually RESPOND like real people. Say, you're a really Holy, almost angelic old man (you also age in the game..later)..people will seem like they respect you, they will praise your name and title (also later)..on the other hand, if you are the guy who kills anybody if they look at you the wrong way, they will cower as you stand before them, scream and beg for mercy, drop crates and items in order to flee before you can see them. If you greet them, they may respond nervously..as if scared of you. Sometimes, they'll just RUN. 9/10 CUSTOMIZATION: I love the customization. You literally create your characters backstory. You can give him tattoos, buy clothing..and you even get battle scars as you go through the game. Your character ages as you level him up, and you can make your own image that the world of Albion will view as you create it. 10/10 OVERALL: 9.5/10 - There are few flaws..overall, it is a must-have for any RPG fan or xbox owner. If you're not into it..at LEAST rent it. Or borrow it. Or borrow without intent of returning it ;)[/hide] Ok. That was my review for FABLE. [hide=Lost chapters content rating] ADDITIONS: Not many. There is a new island to the north, which contains the Necropolic, a second battle with the Jack of Blades, 2 new good/evil helmets, new legendary weapons, Archon's Battle Armor, as well as 1 or 2 new towns. WORTH IT?: I say yes. If you're reading this to decide upon the game, it should be cheap enough to buy. A must have if you like Fable.[/hide]

Games you cried through...
HAHAHAHA that picture looks like a dominatrix beating a naked man :XD: Lol, kinda make a good point there. But that just goes to prove my point..that's REALLY a Executioner punching a Grey Wolf in a Gown in the face.

Remembering 9/11 - LOCK PLEASE!!
I remember the day. I was in English class in the 3rd grade..she was teaching us about properly structured sentences (we had quite a few people who couldnt write a proper sentence). The announcements came on and told us we were all leaving school early. We called our parents..the students just talked, we didnt know what was going on. The teacher was crying (I hated the teacher, so I didnt pay attention). I went home. I walked in the house..mom was sobbing a little. I was wondering why we went home early. Dad said that some people flew planes into some new york buildings. I watched the aftermath report. I never got to see the full report until 7th grade. We watched the news report in class..it was recorded. I watched the second tower fall.

Just a question..PM me this one, if the graphics are only an 8/10, you posted 4 categories, one of the levels is extremely boring, and on superhuman the chimera can not tag you with the bullseye..how did it get a 99.99999% rating?

Fast Food Nation - What goes into your burger?
Yes. I just dont see why killing cows like this is fine, but if I put up a movie of a dog processing factory, the topic would be flammed and locked in just a few minutes. It's a lethal injection. It's better than just shooting them, or killing them by hand or something. And yes, a Dog Processing factory would be flamed. I'm not sure about Locked though. It's because most, if not all, people on this forum do not live in a country where they regularly eat dog meat like we do cattle. I'm sure in places where cows are considered sacred beings, they raise other sources of food like we do cattle..

Fast Food Nation - What goes into your burger?
Yeah, what do you expect? Meat comes from Cows and Animals, not the magical meat fairy or whatever. Of course they're gonna kill it. I dont need a YouTube video to prove it, either. So..what exactly is the point of this, to show how disgusting the insides of a dead animal are? To gross us out because they kill animals? It's a fact of life..meat comes from living creatures. So for us to eat meat, creatures must die. I don't see whats so disgusting.
