  1. Thats what ive got, a Logitech MX300. Im happy with it and that button with the two squares on it is great, ive got it so when i click it, it goes back a page. So much easier than clicking back on the browser
  2. Having never played the original, TLC interested me. Its not an overly hard game to finish and once youve completed it, there isnt a whole lot more to do in it, not alot of replayability value in it, but it is a good game if youve never played the original. There isnt a whole lot to do after you beat Jack of Blades the first time, but there is a bit more added onto it where you go into the Northern Wastes, but i wont go into that. Other than that, it hasnt added alot onto it from what the first version had so unless youve never played fable or you are a die hard fan and must absolutely see what the other quests are, i would give it a miss. But then again, it is on PC so you could be able to mod it for more enjoyment or get future expansions to download...
  3. You wont be doing that because to run a system in SLI setup, you need two identical video cards that can run in SLI and thats not an exactly cheap option. Besides, i reckon that an SLi set up is a waste of money, over rated and is only good for bragging rights. You can get a good single card and decent mother board and still get top notch performance for cheaper than an SLi setup. /personal opinion
  4. This one would be better suited for you if your going to play games. PROSYS, D2055-E Specifications Processor: AMD Athlon̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¾Ãââ 64 Speed: 3700+ Memory: 1024 MB Memory RAM Storage Capacity: 200 GB Hard Drive 1st Optical Drive: CD-R/RW & DVD-R/RW Multi Drive Memory Card Reader: Yes Video Controller: 256 Mb PCI-Express Video Controller Ethernet 10/100: Built-In Ethernet 10/100 Multimedia Keyboard: Yes Optical Mouse: Yes Operating System: Windows̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâî XP Media Center 2005 Edition Language: English Version 1 Year On-Site Warranty: Yes Price - $ 1098.88 Taken from http://www.audiotronic.ca I feel this would be an alright system if you intend to play games. It has a 256Mb graphics card of some sort, so im guessing it would be able to play the games you want to play. Other than the graphics card brand and model, all the other specs are good and would be fine for what you need it to do. And as for the Windows Media Center issue, does it matter? Its bundled with the computer and included in the price so you might as well leave it alone.
  5. Regarding motherboards, i would probably take the ASUS A8N-E but there isnt alot of difference between that and the GIGABYTE GA-K8NF-9 except for some extra slots and unless your going to build a SLI rig, the Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI mother board wouldnt be worth it. As for ram, those two you posted seem exactly the same at a glance, spec wise. You listed 512mb up the top, but the two you listed down the bottom are 1gb. Either of those two would do fine i think. As for the debate about Intel vs AMD, put it this way, if you want to play games, choose an AMD, if you want to to multimedia work, coding, ect, get an Intel. I feel that one isnt better than the other, but they both excel in areas that the other doesnt. It sort of ends up being personal preference because they are both as good as one another, thats what i think anyway.
  6. Your probably right, you dont need such a top notch PSU to run your system. I just felt that you may need a better one because 300w PSU from a brand ive never heard of made me think that it might not be suffiecent to run every thing. This could be an alright alternative, its also about $70 cheaper than the other one i mentioned. Cooler Master (RS-430-PMAR) ATX Regular 430W - $100.13 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?66062 I went with an AMD CPU because of the price. The two 3ghz intel processors i looked at were over $300 inc GST while the AMD chip was only $218 inc GST and the cheapest intel chip was a Celeron, but i would steer clear of them just because i dont think they are very good, but once again, its all up to you. I dont want to get into an arguement about which is better, but i chose the AMD due to price and personal preference. In the end, it all comes down to Militaris's personal preference though.
  7. If youd like a new motherboard, it would require a new processor, so i think that these two would do nicely. GIGABYTE GA-K8NF-9 Skt 939 Motherboard - $182.29 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?8957 AMD Athlon64 3000+ (1.8Ghz) Socket939 CPU - $218.13 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?33539 Never heard of your PSU, but it would be worth upgrading while your at it. I suggest something like this. Antec 450W SmartPower, ATX 12V 2.0, PCIE - $178.88 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?18026 For light gaming, i would say the GeForce 6600 128MB Card would be fine. GIGABYTE GeForce 6600 128MB Graphics Card - $217.14 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?4795 Upgrading your hard drive wouldnt hurt either if you feel your starting to run out of space. Western Digital (WD1600JD) 160GB SPECIAL EDITION 7200RPM 8MB SATA150 - $159.17 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?47735 And finally, another stick of ram wouldnt go astray. Corsair Memory 512MB PC3200 Value DDR RAM - $118.17 - http://www.dragonpc.co.nz/p.aspx?32015 All together this comes to a total of $1073.78 inc GST. All these parts are just suggestions, they are things that you may want to upgrade or not. They should all be compatible with each other and if some one else find that there not or you can find something better, feel free to correct me so he doesnt buy something that doesnt work with other parts or can get a better deal somewhere else.
  8. http://www.orangecomputers.co.nz/afa.asp?idWebPage=7508&idOrangeComputers_Products=152 That is just a bit under your price range and the specs on it should suit you fine. It has wireless capabilitys, so you could spend some of the $200 you have left over from your $2k limit to buy yourself a wireless router and have wireless internet on your laptop, meaning you can play runescape from your room. Just an idea. So yeah, that should suit your needs fine, it only wieghs 2kgs, so its not heavy, its got wireless capabilitys as i said above, so if your school has a wireless network set up they might be kind enough to make it so you can get on your school account using your own laptop using their net work. Disagree with me or have i said something wrong? Please correct me so he can make a good decision.
  9. I, personally, would take this one. http://www.orangecomputers.co.nz/afa.asp?idWebPage=7508&idOrangeComputers_Products=343 Your choice also depends on how much you have to spend and what youll use it for. If you have more money, you can get a better system, obviously. But for the second cheapest laptop on that site, its probably the best option if your not looking to spend alot, do intensive school work or gaming. But who would buy a laptop to play games anyway? If any one disagrees or thinks i am wrong, correct me so he can make a better decision.
  10. Im not sure, but if you have a virus infecting your boot sector, i dont think its possible to remove. The boot sector is read only, i think, so there isnt anyway to get rid of it. If that is the case, you may have to buy a new hard drive. If any of this information is wrong, feel free to correct what i said.
  11. Its not all about the ghz, you dont need insanely high clock speeds to get performance like Intel has been showing for years. With the 3000+, 3200+, ect, what amd have been trying to say is that despite lower clock speeds, you can expect the same performance from a 3000+ athlon as what you would get in a 3ghz pentium 4. It might have lower clock speeds, but it can still offer as good or better performance than its Intel equivelant. If any of this is wrong, misleading or other what ever, feel free to correct me.
  12. PCI-E is the way to go, as thats the connection theyll be using on most new cards. That, and its better than AGP anyway. But because AGP is an older format, you can get mother boards and video card for a bit cheaper than what youd pay for a PCI-E card an mother board. So if you want to be able to upgrade again in a few years, PCI-E is probably the way to go. If not AGP might be fine until you want to upgrade again, and youll probably need to get a PCI-E board then anyway.
  13. It updates the sigs from the rs high scores. Whats wrong is you havent logged out. When you log out it updates your stats on the high scores which then updates your sig. As you can see, its changed because you have logged out since youve posted this question. Edit: Ah, i misread your question, thought you asked why it didnt update from 85 to 86. So yes, Mercifull has the right answer to your question.
  14. Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811146015 - $80.00 Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153020 - $72.00 CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103533 - $201.00 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128268 - $80.99 Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144203 - $73.50 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440 - $79.55 Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125175 - $174.00 DVD Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827129164 - $41.99 Total Price - $803.03 Take a look, you may like it, you may not. Other members can feel free to change parts if they dont match or you think that there is something better that can be used. And that total price is not including speakers, k/b, mouse or monitor, im just assuming youll use the ones you currently have.
  15. You could always open your case up, take out the ram and see if it has a sticker on it with the speeds of the ram and things like that. If you can find that, you could probably then go and buy more ram that matches the one thats already in your system and they should work Or, you could look on the motherboard and see if you can find a brand name or something along those lines. With luck, you might find the actual model of the mother board you have then you can stick it into google and hopefully find out what you need to know. This is probably what id do to find out what your looking for. Hope that helps.
  16. Im assuming your using MS word. Its most likely the overwrite feature, it annoys the hell out of me when i dont notice it and i have to retype things. That is where you should find it on word. If its highlighted, thats what will go over your words. To fix it, just double click on it so its not highlighted and that should fix it. Hope it helps.

Cheap? ok..lets seea price list here. Lacoste Tracksuit - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150 Rockports - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150 Fred Perry/Henri Lloyd Tshirts ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25 ea = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 Nike/Adidas trakkies ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25 ea = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 Rockport/Henri Lloyd Jumpers ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã55 ea = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã110 Nike Tn Air Trainers - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 A Hat - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20 Total - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã710 ($1,400) All on a few items of clothing, and you say its cheap? Yes, but from what ive gathered from this thread, most of the "brand" name clothes they wear would most likely be knock off's and cost them about a quarter of what they'd pay for its genuine equivelant, if not less.
  18. RuneWeb But for some reason, it wouldnt let me use it from the address they supply and i had to reupload it myself
  19. Possibly, but doing that every time i wanted to log onto runescape or something esle, would just be a pain. Id just remove it with a spyware remover.
  20. Its not really cheating, all it would be is a chip that lets you play games from other regions. I live in australia and all the consoles here are PAL which means we cant play NTSC games but if you get something like freeloader, it lets you play games from other regions. So yes, it probably is possible to get a chip that lets you play games from other regions, where to get them? Ive got no idea, youll have to find that out your self.
  21. You deserve to be beaten with a large stick for saying that
