  1. Omg! You have a long-term goal?! What is it? I demand you tell me! Or I will pelt you with pies! And who was the genius who told you to train on hill giants? I'd like to meet them... Well, good luck on the goal, whatever it is :P
  2. That's odd, I have a qp cape and brought the guy the book from the library, but still only got 3 lamps worth 1k each :-s
  3. I was on the recieving end of this one. I had a bf in real life, who played RS who had just dumped me. Well, he and another friend were talking about it... Him: Yeah, I don't see why she's taking it so hard Me: ... *He logs in and out several times* Him: Erm... Sorry about that...
  4. Well, I'm the only person who wrote an article that hasn't participated much in the board, so hello :D I noticed the little "competition" going on, but ya know, it's not like our readers have to buy these "newspapers" so you do realize that no matter who's "better" both of them will probably be read by the same people, right? : Edit: First of all, cool, 99 posts, my homeworld :o Second, sorry I wasn't on much earlier, was at a friend's house enjoying summer :)
  5. Hey, I've been on forced haitus for about 3 months and I just got back. For the most part, I've settled back into it, but I still haven't been brought up to speed about anything not in the news. Things such as prices, how the bracelets' different functions affect gameplay, etc. I was wondering if any helpful person woul get me caught up, so I don't feel so out of it. I've already completed the quests that I missed while I was gone, regaining my quest cape, but that's about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :
  6. Well, it's the account that matters, not what's in it. So long as you get the account itself back, the items will come easy :)
  7. Well, you still have to try for something that gives more than 300 ea, if you're going for making money, unless you're just training mage... If you chose to alch bows, then you would have enough for 181 yew longbows. This would earn 139k. That would be roughly 39.5k profit, provided you buy the bows at 550 ea. :-k
  8. It could be one of two things. 1. You lagged and it says that now, but it'll go away in a few minutes or 2. There's somebody on your account with private chat off 1 is the most likely possibility
  9. They also delete every technical announcement as soon as it no longer applies :-s
  10. Well, pure essence (which is what Jagex split from Rune Essence a little under a year ago) goes for 100 ea easy, so you could get a bronze pickaxe from a spawn and go at that until you get a good amount of gp to buy those essentials. And the Nature Altar is north of Shilo Village, just a bit east of the mine. It has lots of monkeys around it.
  11. Add me in-game, if you want. Sn is wherzwaldo1. As for money making, a good way to go would be to craft nats with pure ess you mine yourself. That gives 300 ea for every nature rune and they sell quickly. Of course, you can find a way to make money with just about any skill you really like. Good luck on settling back in! :D Edit: And they're right, you know ^ getting a respectable construction level requires millions to get really good at it
  12. I usually bring both. Start off with dds spec to poison them, then switch to the scimmy for the rest of the time. When choosing between one or the other, though, I go with the d scimmy.
  13. The statement would still be true, meaning he may or may not have 99 smithing Umm, that's what I just said :-s The statement will always be true, whether he has no 99 skills, or his grandma has 99 smithing, or he has 99 smithing, or he has 99 hunter, it will always remain true in one sense or another
  14. If he did not have 99 smithing, then it would fall under the "or may not" part, so the statement would still be true
  15. Because it says that he may or may not have 99 smithing, meaning that if he does, then it's correct, and if he doesn't, it's still correect, because of the way it is phrased
  16. Ok, if only one is a lie, then 3 must be true (as I see was already mentioned)... Aha! 1 and 2 must both be true, because it's impossible for them to be false (also impossible to use them as identification, though) Therefore, 4 must be incorrect. : I don't really care much who it is, just that it's nice that such people exist. Have fun, everybody! :)
  17. It's much more than that. It's the same concept as smithing iron/steel bars instead of mithril-rune, yes, they give more exp per bar made, but you need more materials for mithril-rune, making them less time efficient. Example: Somebody has one inventory of bones and decide to ecto. First, they must collect 28 pots and 28 buckets. Then, they must take 14 bones and 14 pots to the bone crusher and crush those bones. Then, they must take 14 more bones and 14 more pots and crush those bones. Then, they must take 28 buckets down to the ectoplasm to fill. Then, they must take 14 pots of bonemeal and 14 buckets of ectoplasm to the altar, worship with them, and take their ecto-tokens. Then they must take another 14 pots of bonemeal and 14 buckets of ectoplasm and repeat. Then the process begins again if they have more than one inventory of bones. On the other hand, for a few marrentill, you can get almost as much exp per bone at a faster rate at a gilded altar.
  18. There is no requirement, unless it's hidden behind the level required for the previous quests, anyways. I did it at agility level 61 and it took a long time to finally get across, just keep at it, bring agility pots if you're impatient.
  19. According to the massive avalanche of ranting on the forums, some accounts are back online now. However, there seems to have been a roll back, the amount of time is undefined at the moment, though *goes to check on her account*
  20. I loved that joke! It's about time Jagex (please excuse capitalization) finally bit back at all the whiners! :P After all, all the inteligent rangers will probably completely understand it and it won't bother them
