  1. I don't know about the gloves, sorry, but there is a chance of getting a dragon chainbody when you gamble 500 points, but the odds are about the same as Zamorak converting to the good side, so says Jagex.
  2. Disclaimer: The following message is not a flame, but an honest response from the point of view of a level 83 skillerish player. Honestly speaking, how many people who are that high of a level are honestly good tactics-wise? Other than the deviants that exist in any stereotype, combat levels are more often a show of time spent than I.Q. Also, call me a newb, but in the 1st (and only ) wave I've managed to play (I was a healer) nobody but the attacker was attacked, that I saw. As such, why is this game given a 100+ label, regardless of role? Surely this is a game decided more by your ability to strategize than your ability to go in and annihalate everything. As long as there is a good healer (or two) this scenario could have been avoided. Also, the more reliable way of utilizing a level 60 would be to give it a more noncombat oriented role, such as collector or defender, no reason to be prejudiced of all low levels because of the "noob" stereotype of the majority of them. In conclusion, all of these arguments are purely theoretical, derived from my little experience and extensive "research" (comprised of the manual, tutorial, and two days of browsing forums) as such, I am entirely open to intelligent debate/corrections to any my points. Regardless of my disagreement of a few points in this, I feel it was quite well-written, congratulations :)
  3. Speaking from the experiance of completing every quest at level 82, I doubt you will get owned whichever way you do. I wasn't paying attention to the guide until after Desseous, and was able to defeat him with melee, so it really just depends on your preferred method of fighting :
  4. Wherzwaldo1: Versatile, but I believe I'd do well with healing Other: This would be my first time, but I've read up on it thoroughly (Manuel, tutorial, and forums)
  5. Actually, a crossbow is much slower than a shortbow. Let's see here. Crossbow = One-handed, meaning you can have a shield (as was already mentioned), also has access to the special effect bolts. Shortbow = Much faster but two handed, meaning no shield I don't range much, but from the comparisons of my dabbling in shortbows after the bolts update, that's the information I gathered.
  6. Also, you got it easy. They relatively recently did an update so that you stop smelting iron if your ring melts. so don't worry too much : Good luck on 99 smithing!
  7. Hmm... Assuming it's like anything else that you leave in your POH, if you leave without picking it back up, it's likely gone permanently, sorry.
  8. Well, if you want it bad enough to get it without profit, there's always world 66 laws. I got from 54 to 65 in about 2-3 days there. Edit: Nick, I said 66, not 99. 66 usually has more runners than crafters. :
  9. Thanks! :D Anybody else? Never can have too many opinions : And advice, yes, advice would be nice
  10. Ok, those are the only two major quests I have left (only the boss from Haunted Mine and Recipe for Disaster besides that) and I was wondering what stats I should have for either/both of them. My stats are in my sig. Advice is greatly appreciated :D
  11. Theoretically, greenman's ale should work for a Fairy Tale Part II as all you need it for is to pick a flower at one point in the quest. I personally haven't tried it, though.
  12. I'd say it's really needed. I did it, and it's probably needed to fire the bazooka at one point
  13. Just direct him to that place. Unless he's pigheaded enough not to even look, in which case he actually runs a higher risk of losing his "newly found mod powers" for false reporting
  14. Having multiple accounts is completely allowed, so long as you don't log them on at the same time, drop trade between them, or other stupid junk like that to get ahead in the game. Next time he starts going on about it, tell him to read over the rule descriptions and prove it, he won't be able to : Edit: Found solid uncontestable proof on the Runescape official rules section "Rule 8 - Multiple Logging-In You may create more than one RuneScape account, but if you do, you may not log in more than one account at any time, and they must not interact with each other in any way. This includes 'drop trading' or any other method of item transfer." - Runescape rules page

    1337

1337 is what in numbers is supposed to mean "leet" which is slang for "elite" which means to be one of the best
  16. If anybody on World 66 ever trades you and doesn't give you ess back, don't trade with them. It's against the policy of the official world 66 lawcrafters not to return ess. For more, you should check out their thread in the runes forum on the official forums. P.S. Sorry for the official sounding stuff... I just got done working there :P
  17. I know this seems like a silly question, but did you double-check to make sure you have curse set as the auto cast for your staff? :-k I haven't done it, either
  18. Hey, I've been on Runescape for just under a year, I think... I don't particularly like combat, nor do I hate it, there a several skills above and below it in my scale. Though my stats don't show it, crafting's my favorite skill, but I keep getting sidetracked by other skills that need work :P I've been using Tip.It for a while, since f2p, actually, which was a looong time ago, to me, anyways. I just never really got into the whole forums bit until just recently... Public chat is always on if anybody wants to pm me and entertain me during my holiday nat crafting! :D
  19. You use the loop with the teeth to make a crystal key, which you can use on a chest in Taverly to get 1 uncut dragonstone and some other items.
  20. ...K... Anybody else? Not that I don't appreciate it, I really do, but merchanting really isn't my thing :uhh:
  21. K, I want to get some gp as fast as I can so I can my real life bf a present for Christmas on Runescape to make up for not being able to afford anything in real life. I prefer to make gp with my skills, rather than merchanting, so please don't just say "merchanting" and walk away My skills are as listed in my siggy. Thanks in advance, anybody :)
  22. I'd say work on your levels a bit :
  23. 66 gives laws and noted ess, I just got done training there
  24. Well... An obsidian cape gives a strength bonus and doesn't have any stat requirements that I can think of... :-k
