Whats faster ... Fm or Fletching?!
Firemaking is one of the nicest capes/emotes but also the one that will leave you one-handed (assuming you don't end up using the other hand to compensate in which in that case you will finish with NO hands). That being said, both will cost a LOT of money but I would highly recommend doing fletching at the GE (after level 70). Being not such an experienced fletcher (only level 71 so far), this is all I can tell you: Make the best possible longbows until you reach Willow Longs. Make these until level 70 fletching (selling these longbows to stores). Since the number of logs needed isn't that that high, really try to cut your own logs (if you have a lot of money, then i guess it is okay to buy the willows in the end necessary to reach 70 fletching). Once you have 70 fletching, go to GE and buy yew logs. Turn all the logs into Yew Longbows (u) and for the first time in your fletching career, you should string all these babies (should never have strung before because it would be a waste to use the bowstring on maple and lower...). Anyway, ideally, you should have 44 runecrafting and be making your own nature runes and also be crafting your own bowstring from flax (pick the flax under the gnome stronghold bank and string it in lumbridge castle), but if you can't do both those things, just buy all your supplies at GE. With these supplies, do the following: BUY YEW LOGS (404-449ea) -> BUY OR MAKE NATURE RUNES -> YEW LONGBOWS -> HIGH ALCH FOR GP BUY OR MAKE BOWSTRING -> I am not sure however up until what level you should use this method. Whatever you do, best of luck!

Can I make money?
dont start hunting chins at 83.. i started at 70. You can make a good few mil going from 70-83 hunting chins and its not too slow. You could make an argument for that although having tried both methods and knowing many people with very high level hunter (including some with 99), it is HIGHLY recommended to keep doing red salamanders (north of castle wars) until you can use 5 box traps for the chinchompas. While you will make NO money up until that point (since you will drop the salamanders), the xp is MUCH MUCH greater and you will be much happier getting to a point where the money will flow smoothly rather than being greedy trying to make slow money up until the level. Take or leave this advice, but like I say, I speak with experience...

Membership... starts when?
I just used paypal and paybycash and it took 5 business days (as it says on the paybycash website). Bizarre thing is that I got instant confirmation from paypal and so decided to talk to the paybycash customer service. It took them about 1 day to respond to each of my questions but in the end, I got membership approximately 5 business days after I ordered it. Nothing is wrong, you'll just have to wait. Good luck!

good money
I really L0L'd at the "red chickmocks" but, for the sake of correction... the actual term for what you both are talking about is: Carnivorous Chinchompas. Anyway, yes, these are very effective money and around level 80 (when you can use 5 box traps on these little pesky creatures), you can make around 100k xp per hour netting you a very fast 99 (less than a month with regular playing). At that point, you can play the impetuous impulses mini-game in which starting at level 83 you can catch dragon implings which will bring massive money (you can loot tons of drag stuff from those buggers). Yeah, so good luck on your quest for the l00t!!!

A quick magic clarification
It is 100% sure, as Jagex has confirmed, that magic level works as defense versus magic. The higher your magic level, the more magic attacks versus you will splash. Refer to this if you would like more information: http://www.zybez.net/genguides.php?id=7 ... dmagic.htm Good luck!

Can I make money?
HUNTER Red salamanders from 59 to 83. Carnivorous chinchompas from 83 to 99. That is many millions already right there and can take less than a month with dedication. Then go to impetuous impulses mini-game and capture dragon implings. This will get you to 80 million faster than nearly any other skill (except for double crafting nature runes...).

Before becoming a member: preparations
The only thing you can really prep for is levelling your skills to be able to do important quests, etc... Also, in terms of items, just get lots of logs. OAK for construction. WILLOWS for middle fletching levels (40-70 about). Also, don't worry too much about secondary ingredients for herblore. Those will be very easy to acquire at grand exchange while you are member... If i think of anything else, i'll try and get back to this thread. Good luck!

The Snowglobe
http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=578 Good find! Except, for some reason, i really thought someone during the event said that the snow only worked while the snow world was open...

Xmas event...
If i remember correctly, someone during the event said that the snow globe works while christmas is going and the snow world is open....

My "quest" to get Lv. 99 mining- and some perks go with it!
Not to mention that in general, people who get to level 99s in skills do it using the most efficient/fastest way. This, my friend, is far from it. Either power mine iron or granite if you are member. You will realize that the numbers are MUCH less "astronomical." As others have said, happy mining.

Obvious problem with the GE?
2 part proof as to why the GE can't work as it is: 1) Seeing as how market prices fluctuate depending on prices being used by merchants, and 2) Merchants can only sell at min price Therefore, prices will keep dropping because all items will be proposed and bought at the minimum price. When will it end? Puwre

need help on f2p r2h KOing
The general rule is to keep pray at 0 for f2p... (because the advantages don't quite even out with the extra combat levels as much as p2p). And for shade, the general rule is to observe your opponent so you know approximately their max hit and k0 combo. Once you have read them, you should add about 5 hp to their max hit comb0 and pretty much eat then unless like i mentioned, you are taking a risk to k0 them... I hope that answers your questions...

need help on f2p r2h KOing
The point of clicking right when you would hit with your other weapon is that there is a bit of glitch in that the hit acts like its coming from the 2h (ie: higher damage), but with the speed of the weapon that came before it... If, however, you swing the 2h after the weapon before it would have gone, it acts like you took the turn to switch weapons. The timing is key. Seriously, different people think of the timing different ways. The best advice i could give you is to be patient and practice a lot before going to wildy. When you look at all those videos of range/2h, you might see that a ton of the battles come down to both players having VERY low hp. This is because most of the time, your k0 should be at a moment when you are taking a risk of getting killed. Truthfully, most of those pkers only win more than 50% of their fights because they are good at choosing WHO they will fight. If the best players fought each other over and over, it would come out to about 50/50 simply because so much of the k0 depends on luck. Which brings me to my point that the best players ARE the best because they allow the battle to come down to luck. That is, they have trained the combo so much that skill comes out of the equation since they perform the 2h switch so perfectly and their timing works. Like I said, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. Good luck.

I would say raise your range until it maxes out for your cb (because it raises hp which is the best thing for a pure). Also, they key to the 2h k0 is to wield the 2h right when the scimmy or arrow is about to swing/shoot. Ideally, right click 'wield' the 2h and then try and click the enemy 1 or 2 times right away to hit him as fast as possible. Don't forget to switch back to the other weapon as fast as possible to not lose a combat turn. Remember, practice makes perfect. So practice a lot on guards, for example. If you have any other questions, shoot!

Me bad at math halp!
Basically what I said, but more to the point. Have the flame gates been opened? *checks for mod*

MOST hitpoints experience (exp) when training Magic?
Great calculations! I love seeing someone who uses their brain! I personally would really recommend crumble undead because of how cheap it is. Otherwise, let us know of any thing that comes up. Also, i have a pure with the exact same philosophy as yours (except mine is going to focus on the range/mage more than the strength, even though our builds will be close to identical). Add him ingame: "k0fs" (k-zero-f-s)

Paybycash
I laughed reading this thread. Would you mind explaining what is so wrong with your parents finding out?
-
Me bad at math halp!
This is quite ridiculous. Rather than playing runescape, you should seriously be at school. Please, do the world AND YOURSELF a favor and get an education. Take a break from runescape and rather than making platebodies, learn some math.

Yews
Great spot for willows is at barbarian outpost. Just deposit in the deposit box. Yews, not so sure. Sorry!

pk hybrid
Don't raise def. You'll regret it. Stay at 2. I would say raise att to 60 and then just try and max out your range/str/mage. Oh, and too bad you got 52 pray...

Need Advice on Hybrid
add 'xooble' and hit me up. he is 2 levels above you, but we would make good pk team.

F2P Range/2h or P2P Range/Mage
went back to character 1. got 55 strength. now need help training range all the way to like 70. someone support me please... i get bored too fast.
-
help me make a f2p mage/range pker
range/mage will not work on f2p. 1. range doesn't hit as well as in p2p (where you can use d bow) 2. can't use ancients if you want range... the only good thing in f2p solo pking is range/2h. even solo ranging doesn't really work unless you play deep wildy...

F2P Range/2h or P2P Range/Mage
Thank you all for some great suggestions. For now i'll train the second character mainly because of pray. Keep giving advise, thanks!
