  2. Kudos island is an unofficial (I think) nick-name given by players to the island which the curator of the Varrock Museum says you will be able to visit in the near future, assuming that you have enough Kudos from the Museum, of course.
  3. There is a browser called prism that is made specifically for that type of thing. Its basically a toned down version of firefox that is made for online apps. It doesnt have an address bar, menu bar, or status bar since it is normally used for single webpages like google apps or runescape. http://labs.mozilla.com/2007/10/prism/ Its what I use and I love it. It uses less memory than firefox and it runs another instance of xulrunner so if your firefox browser crashes your runescape window wont. Edit: also you dont need those older versions of java. For some reason when the java autoupdates on windows it leaves the previous versions installed. This is ALMOST exactly what I need, except that it doesn't carry your add-ons from FireFox over to this program. Most importantly, I don't have my Tip.It micro helper! :ohnoes: I could do this, but its not preferable to me because it goes into a true full screen mode. I'd like to be able to access the windows task bar to be able to quickly switch between windows.
  4. I was looking through my list of installed programs for things I don't need anymore, and I happened to notice that there were a lot of Java things installed. Do I need all 3 of these? It seems like I'd only need the Update 11, but I'm not sure. Can I safely uninstall the older versions? Also! Does anyone know if there is any way you can create a shortcut to a web page on my hard drive that will open up a web page with Firefox without the address bar, menu bar, or status bar, without disabling them when I open Firefox normally?
  5. From what you've listed in the requirements, I think I know the perfect match for you, a LinkSys WRT160N. I've always had great experiences with LinkSys routers, they work great and have a consistent, strong signal. I don't personally own this router, but my girlfriend does. She, despite being fairly brainless when it comes to computers (I hope she doesn't read this :ohnoes: ) was able to set it up quickly. Apparently it comes with some nifty auto-configuration software which should get everything set up right without you needing to do much of anything. This router uses multiple radio signals to make the signal stronger and farther reaching than would normally be the case, which sounds like it'd be useful for getting it to your Grandma's house. Here's the product information page from Linksys.com: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1175239516849&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=1684939789B01
  6. So those natives were armed by the dragonkin? Or the dragon metal somehow found its own way into Frenaskrae? Well... no one knows that either. Its possible that the fairy which says the dragon weapons are from Frenaskrae is left in there by mistake, which is what I find to be the most likely. If its not a mistake however, some other possibilities emerge. One is that the Dragonkin themselves are from Frenaskrae. This is not very likely, because they were said to have been enslaved by Jas to protect his stone before even the First Age. The Mahjarrat, along with the other gods apart from Guthix, came to Gielinor in the Second Age. This time difference between Jas supposedly pulling the Dragonkin into the realm of Gielinor, then the Mahjarrat coming in the Second Age, a time difference of thousands of years, is what kills this theory from me. If the dragon weapons really ARE from Frenaskrae, then the explanation for this, to me, is that the Dragonkin made their dragon weapons with a power-link back to themselves. The more blood is shed and the more lives are taken with the weapons, the more power is transferred to them. In order to ensure a large amount of bloodshed, they sent their weapons, with their magic, to Frenaskrae, where they appeared, inexplicably, to the inhabitants there. They used these very strong, deadly weapons to kill their enemies, completely unaware that they were making the Kin more powerful. As for how they wound up here in Gielinor, it is possible that the Dragonkin put their weapons all over the place. After all they needn't fear their weapons being used against them, so why not proliferate them? Even if they were to be found, the Dragonkin would likely be immune to their own weapons. That would be pretty cool though, fighting a dragonkin with a dragon weapon, every blow you land on them transfers power to them... its like trying to fill a sieve with sand!
  7. My two cents' worth: Frenaskrae is the plane where the warriors who fought in the God Wars were called from. They were armoured well apparently, and were equipped with dragon weapons and armour before they were brought to Gielenor to fight. Thus, the case appears to be that Jukat (thought it used to be Jakut?) sells dragon weapons that came from this plane, from some stockhouses probably. Of course, they were made by the dragonkin, but then stored in Frenaskrae to arm the warriors. Of course, that's pure speculation What do you mean with that? the only ones from Freneskae who fought in the God Wars where the Mahjarrat. And they were brought here way before that. No other warriors That's my two cents, wich compared to your two cents is like fifty bucks. No one knows that. During the God Wars, Zamorak was said to have called forth many foul and savage beasts new to Gielinor. It is entirely possible that he called over some of Frenaskrae's native species.
  8. The thing I want more than anything else is a balance of the combat triangle.
  9. While no one can say for sure, I think that this passage referring to the lips of Guthix is just a little joke that Movario told for himself, and not a metaphor or any object he truly believed existed. That said, I don't think Guthix has any lips, or even a mandible, in his preferred form, the floating tentacle skull of balance! Zamorak however, appears to have some very full bodied lips *cough* collagen injections *cough*
  10. Just musing... That's interesting! I must have overlooked it when I read over all those god letters in like a weekend. RS binge ftw! I'll add it to the first post
  11. [hide=large image][/hide] That what you're talking about? That is Guthix's "preferred" form. He is a shape shifter, and can take any form he wants, but this skull type thing is the form he chooses most often, for reasons known only to him, apparently
  12. Do we really need to answer that? -.- Apparently you did
  13. Banned because that didn't work
  14. In Fremennik Trials, a player gets a literal Red Herring as part of a puzzle, yet the fact that it is a Red Herring is in ITSELF a red herring! Because the Red Herring is important in solving the puzzle! Its a double red herring! :ohnoes:
  15. That's because fletching 27 logs takes less than 90 seconds. If it took 91 seconds or more, you'd have to move the camera or do something to stop yourself from being logged out. I'm pretty sure you'd have a problem with it then, or at least begin to find it annoying
  16. well unlike most 15 i don't like to listen to people talk about crude things, i find it immature and unnececary. seriously who wants to hear people all day going, "hahaha you said balls, its funny because they are your private parts!"...really who wants to hear that? I agree with Great_one on this. Reporting someone for saying "I like balls" or something like that does NOT make you a WBM. That is exactly the kind of immature, childish, and perverted dialogue that needs to be reported. However, reporting someone for saying something like "Damn I died and lost my whip" or "This sucks" does (in my opinion).
  17. Been a while since I posted on here, but I got a good one! I was at the bloodvelds, and someone thought up a very clever nickname for them:
  18. Give us a Christmas present, let us reach 100
  19. For those of you who bemoan not being able to go to the bathroom and come back without being logged out by the timer, here's a perfect solution:
  20. Banned for being banned by me
  21. Personally the only time it annoy me is when I'm wc or fishing. Smithing cannon balls takes longer than 90 sec too if I remember correctly. The engine just needs to be updated so that you aren't logged out when you do anything that gains xp. After you have a full load of resources such as fish or logs, or have processed a full load of resources, the normal 90 sec timer should start. That just leaves combat. I don't think combat should be included in the "not logged out if gaining xp" thing because then people could afk for hours splashing or at the bandit camp. But the 90 sec timer makes killing monsters with no hp and high defense a pain, such as when you range black dragons. Because of this I think the timer should be something to the tune of 300 seconds without a button press for combat stats.
  22. How do you know? What evidence is there of this? Clearly that tiny dragon thingy wasn't a true dragon, but what points to it being an elder dragon? It was a fairy dragon, wasn't it? Edit: ah, it is named K'klik, it is the last of the fairy dragons, and it's examine text is: "Could this be one of the elder dragons?" That seems to me like it would be a Red Herring, Jagex has used them before! Quite literally in the Fremennik Trails quest, for those of you who remember  P.S. OMGSANTAHATSWTFBBQ  :D :
  23. The Tzharr were a race before Guthix let humans through onto Gielinor in the First Age. Zaros, Saradomin, other gods, and the Mahjarrat all came in during the Second Age when Guthix was sleeping. Its not impossible for the Tzharr to follow Zaros, but it seems very unlikely
  24. Mention it awkwardly on an forum game thread. Inexplicable Santa hats :?
