  1. I'm fairly certain that all you need to do is talk to the historian while wearing the ghostly robes.
  2. Knowing Jagex it'll look pretty much the same as the guy santa suit, but it'll be tighter and will inexplicably show your stomach.
  3. Elemental Workshop II used the mind door, which unlocked helmets that are close to the "mind" so to speak. So I think its safe to assume that Elemental Workshop III will unlock some kind of armor to go on the "body"! Its clever!
  4. Its for a later quest, almost certainly Elemental Workshop III. As for now its just another one of those locked doors put in the game early to tantalize you. Nice of Jagex eh?
  5. Yea it is! And its it really from that long ago? You would think Jagex would have taken it out of the game by now, or at least stop charging players for it!
  6. If it really is spam why did you bump it to the top of the forums? And its not spam. I'm just asking if anyone knows what the inn is actually for. You probably just skimmed the thread.
  7. I've done One Small Favor and that building has no part in it, and I'm not really upset about losing the 35 gp, I'm just curious if anyone knows what that little area is for, or if its just some feature Jagex put in to intentionally waste small sums of money.
  8. He turns prayer on immediately but that shouldn't make a difference. This sounds like it might be a bug caused by recent updates, you might want to consider submitting a bug report with Jagex.
  9. I'm not sure... When you spec him he's supposed to automatically run out of prayer... the only thing I could say is leave and then try again...
  10. Yes, I have hidden it in the last paragraph of my post. Its hard to see but if you believe its there, it will appear to you in a dream.
  11. You could cannon Giant Rock Crabs I believe, and get tons of charms.
  12. I recently got 50 slayer, so I went to Shilo Village to get a slayer task from Duradel. But I went the wrong way, I thought Duradel was North of the river, but apparently he wasn't! Instead as I went up the ladder I was greeted by an innkeeper. An inn in Runescape? I was intrigued! I happened to have some cash with me (I was hoping to bribe Duradel into not giving me iron dragons; no luck -.-) so I payed the fee and went up the special ladder. When I got up there, I was amazed to see... nothing?! I'd been had! I got ripped off! Gypped! Scammed! Bamboozled! Deceived! Fooled! Tricked! Beguiled! Hoodwinked! Misled! Japed! Manipulated! Misunderestimated! Duped! Cheated! Thank you, http://www.thesaurus.com I'll never see that 35 gp again, and lemme tell you, I could have done a LOT with that 35 gp... I could have taken the cart to Brimhaven and almost have left over to take a ship to Ardougne! But no, all I was left with was my disappointment and my grief-stricken tears. [/drama] [/html jokes (god I'm such a nerd #-o )] In all seriousness, what is the meaning of this clandestine caper? Is it some way for those Jagex clowns to steal all the money in RS, 35 gp at a time? Or did I not notice something neat while I was up there?
  13. And lose them in the process :-# Silly, Runescape players have no hope to begin with! Haven't you ever been to the RSOF Rants forum?
  14. Did you guys ever think that maybe he wanted to kill F2P monsters with a F2P friend?
  15. You don't need the Gollum statue back, I have full Kudos and the statue is still missing. However none of the other displays should be empty. Your missing Kudos is likely from a quiz which you accidentally skipped over, or not talking to the archeologist who gives xp lamps while wearing ghostly robes.
  16. You don't need any offense when you're hunted... You can bring both, wear the power ammy when you're hunting and defence ammy when you're hunted.
  17. To my experience, camo is very common when teleporting and woodcutting, but here's the important thing: [hide=Important thing]HE ONLY COMES WHEN YOU DON'T WANT HIM!!![/hide]
  18. You absolutely need 16 construction to make any painted items (these are called heraldic items, by the way). That is because at level 16 you can build an oak decoration with your herald (symbol) on it. The heraldry man in Falador will not give you your symbol if you cannot make this item. The heraldry man gives you your first symbol for free (this is the symbol that you will automatically paint on all helmets, shields, and banners) but you can change it if you don't like it. It costs around 5k gp, but some symbols have special requirements, such as quests completed. To make a painted helmet you need either a steel full helmet or a rune full helmet, and 38 crafting. To make a painted shield you need either a steel kite shield or rune kite shield and 43 crafting. To make a banner, you need 48 crafting, 1 normal plank and 1 piece of cloth. You can make these items in your own house, but that requires a fairly high construction level. Much easier would be to make them in someone else's house. You are more than welcome to use my house for this, just PM me on RS (my chat is always on) and tell me when you'd like to do it. I'll even give you a free plank and cloth if you want a banner. :
  19. Real helpful  I don't know that there is any way, really. Not even a ring of wealth would help, seeing as the flippers aren't worth much at all. Although there's one thing I know that will make your chances even lower, and that is giving up! :
  20. power ammy >defense ammy power gives +6 in all attacks 6 str ,1 prayer also gives +6 in all defense defense gives +7 in all defense When you're concerned solely about deference, such as when you're hunted in FoG, then defense ammy is in fact better than power.
  21. You'll need to bank very often and need a lot of chickens if you want to bank both the hides and the bones. If that's something you want to do, however, go for it! Black dragonhides are currently 2,998 gp medium price in the GE. I did all my black dragon killing before they were updated to drop charms (this was when they were the only dragon that didn't drop charms, I believe), so I don't know how often they drop charms. They are higher leveled than iron dragons, however, and I have killed those recently (got d legs on the 30th kill!). They drop 2 charms at a time very often. So I would imagine that black dragons drop them often as well.
  22. I recommend Karil's. Full void makes you hit higher, but you sacrifice accuracy. On lower level monsters that isn't much of an issue, but with black dragons, its critical since their defense is extremely high. I tried both void and dragonhide and the full void hit so many zeros I switched back to dragonhide before 5 dragons. My full setup was: -Archer helm -Black dragonhide body -Black dragonhide chaps -Anti dragonbreath sheild -Dark gloves -Dragon boots -Amulet of glory -Ring of Wealth -Rune crossbow -Mithril bolts -Ava's accumulator I killed them in the evil chicken lair, and I brought nothing but 1 raw chicken (to get into the dungeon), 1 shark (just in case) and 2 range potion (4)s. I drank 1 dose every 2 dragons, buried the bones, and banked the hides. There are safespots all over the dungeon, the safest of which to use is at the entrance to the mine. Its a very narrow corridor that you can go into, and no dragon can reach you.
  23. The original commercial version of 'santa' was paganistic, and he wore green, reason so many old christmas statues and some traditional ones still use green Then...Coca cola ran a advertising promo where his clothes became red, and the idea stuck, hence red santa clothes now :o Maybe a traditional santa outfit would be nice, and avoid the trouble wth santa hat's prices rising, because a red hat wouldn't suit green outfit Just my way to make christmas feel more traditional and stop merchanters profiting even IF the suit wins  The poll's over, the suit DID win :(
  24. The monkeys on top of the pillars in the town do NOT send you to jail when they shoot you. They can be meleed and you do not need to telegrab the bones. You can take them off the pillars. Bones from these monkeys will make a small ninja gree gree. To make a large ninja gree gree, you need to go to the U shaped warehouse, stand in the middle, and unweild your gree gree. This will summon the large ninja monkey guard. If he hits you, he WILL send you to jail. Once he appears he will approach you. At this point, put your gree gree back on (and run into the warehouse to hide behind the crates if the archers attack you). Karam (the gnome assassin) will protect you by killing the large ninja monkey. Take the bones it drops to make the large ninja gree gree. Or you could just kill Padulah(ninja with dual scimitars) who is in the town center surrounded by rangers to be a large monkey...on second thought, that may have been medium, but I did not see any monkey that was bigger than me in the course... The problem with that is you need food, as you can't protect from range for the ninja monkeys and Padulah's melee attacks. I did the method I suggested and its fast and easy.
