If you put liquid poison on it, you better hope you never walk at all, because movement would shake off whatever you put on, and if you walk through dirt, grass or any yielding surface, it'll be scraped off. People don't lift and drop their feet flat when they move unless they're stamping, which requires ridiculous amounts of energy in the long term and isn't half as efficient as a heel to toe action. Combat-capable [bleep]es on boots = idiocy.

Actually, #1 has the blur overlay. I'd go with #1. It looks cleaner and emphasizes the highlights without removing too much detail.

Just to defend Guild Wars a little... I don't know what you mean by that statement, exactly. I'm constantly moving in combat, and I also play PVP a lot. A lot of Guild Wars' PVP is based around tactical positioning. I've never had any problems with the collision detection. Pathing and such are very well-done, and you shouldn't have any problems unless your connection is incredibly poor. I solo things all the time with multiple characters. It's a piece of cake. That said, Guild Wars is primarily a team game, so why you'd try to solo anything beyond farming or the pregame, I'll never know. Also, Nadril, if you didn't pick up Factions, ANet introduced Alliance Battles, which is 12v12 strategic PVP, although you join in randomly-grouped selected teams of 4. PVE in the original game can also be stretched incredibly far if you take the time to complete all the secondary mission objectives and explore the entire map. There are some places that the game doesn't require you to go to that are absolutely stunning, even in the original game which, while beautiful in itself, is a far cry below Factions in terms of graphics.

By giving out jail sentences to those who get caught. That would act as a strong general deterrent. It doesn't mean to say that is fair though. Of course it isn't fair. Think of all the taxpayers' money that would go into paying for these peoples' jail terms. If you wanted it to be fair, you'd take their maintenance fees out of the inmate's income, but sadly, it's society that pays to keep people in jail. And yes, I do realise that by "unfair", you were refering to the draconian punishment.

The best thing JAGeX can do is watch the metagame and rebalance existing equipment and skills. However, you'd get people who will cry about their beloved overpowered abilities now being balanced, so it's hardly conducive to a good business plan considering the target audience. Hence, to "balance" things, they just add on more things that only provide a temporary fix before becoming overpowered themselves. And of course, it would be far too hard to edit a few class variables in an object-oriented language like Java...

The major point to consider is that the Persians, while orignally a tiny nation, had the benefit of a string of incredible leaders: Cyrus, Cambyses, Darius and then Xerxes. Cyrus defeated Astyages of Media in 550, and then Croesus of Lydia (who had been deliberating about crushing the Persians for some time, having consulted oracles throughout Greece as well as Ammon in Libya about the matter) in 546. He then defeats Nabonidus in 539 and takes Babylon. Cambyses succeeds Cyrus in 530, and goes off and takes Egypt in 525. Meanwhile, revolts spring up in the Persian territories while he's away, so Darius deals with them, and then arranges matters so that Cambyses does not hold the throne for very long. Darius, once king, conquers Thrace in 512. A factor to bear in mind when considering how Persia managed to hold on to its territories is that the Persians never eradicated local cultures. Rather, they would install their Satraps, collect taxes from the conquered peoples, and then more or less leave them to their own devices. This doesn't work too well on the Greeks, as the Ionian revolt in 499 shows. This is all off the top of my head, which means the vast majority of this comes from Herodotus.

Poor spelling and grammar, extremely passive voice, no plot to speak of, and not even an attempt at punctuation. I lost interest two lines in because the entire piece seems to be a single running sentence. This needs a lot of work.

Just like the Factions preview weekends. Dervishes and Paragons as far as the eye could see, and everyone playing like Leeroys. You were lucky to get a monk, or any other class for that matter, in RA. The new classes are okay. A little rigged skill and equipment-wise. Paragons use spears, which are 14-27, have shortbow range and a 1.5s attack time. They're also one-handed, and you use them with shields. That screams rigged to me.

In my experience, it's the quickest way to end a fight once the cack hits the fan. I don't like to fight hand-to-hand. So I don't, if I can help it. Hitting them there makes sure they stop fighting, and doesn't leave a mark, or at least one they'd like to show as evidence. It's probably not the best thing I could've done in that situation, and I don't advocate anyone else using violence to solve their problems. That said, don't be afraid to fight dirty if it means that you'll end a physical confrontation much faster and with less blood.

Grammar I can understand, but punctuation? No. There should be no problems with it at all. I'm sure writing it in Czech does not make it look like a play script, either. Use those quotation marks properly. There's even an announcement about this.
