At my school, it's a well-known fact that all Asians can fly and possess inborn knowledge of Kung Fu. We're also known for being invincible ninja software pirates. The subcontinental people (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) are known to be good at cricket and haggling. The white guys are famous for their incredible capacity for alcohol and displacing indigenous peoples. The Muslim guys are all very moderate and liberal, and get into the spirit of terrorism jokes as much as everyone else. They like to declare jihad against nobody in particular every now and then, and the Christians like to call for crusades. Despite all this, there's virtually no racial tension at my school. We figured that if we were going to generalise on one ethnic group, we might as well do it for everyone else. It's more fun that way. And if there's a minority group we've missed...

I'm Filipino/Chinese/Applicable Master Race of the Time. I speak English, Tagalog, Bicol, some Mandarin, passable German, as well as Australian, which is a separate language in and of itself.

Runescape isn't set in any real-world time-frame. But in feudal Japan? Yeah, ninjas existed, only they were peasant guerillas rather than flying killing machines with more weaponry than a Viking longboat stapled to the Yamato glued to the Death Star.

I can usually tell the Aussies from the Yanks in the city. It's in the way they carry themselves. Then again, "Aussie" goes all the way from Anglo-Irish to Samoan to Chinese. That's the great part about Australia.

The Japanese are better kissers, in general. Er... besides that, I still find it rather easy to tell them apart.

This makes no sense: To be able to see into the infra-red spectrum, one would require GREEN eyes, since those would absorb all red light. ON TOPIC: I would like some original new beast (like choas elemental), not some copies thing from whatever fantasy book/saga/epic. RS=RS, not WoW, LOTR or whatever! Drow can't see in the IR spectrum. They got rid of that in 3rd edition. Now they can only see monochrome outlines in total darkness. Anyway, this would infringe copyright law and would add a whole new dimension of lame to Runescape. It's not like we need more games with multiple types of elves. It seems that for every possible terrain and natural feature, you'll have some idiot make a subspecies of elf. "Oh, these are the Wood Elves, Moon Elves and Wild Elves, who get these abilities, and these are the Two Inches Below Sea Level Elves, who get these new abilities..."

I can tell between most Asians. The only trouble I really have is picking out the Cantonese from the Hokkien without looking at the names or listening to the language. But yeah. All of us Asians look the same. It's all part of our grand plot to overthrow the godless white devils and flood their markets with our cheap goods and labour.

A couple of years ago I stayed up for about 70 hours before finally taking a four-hour sleep before getting up to go to football training. I don't know how I did it and I never want to do it again. My sleep patterns were out of whack for a week or so.

To be honest, one does not get by on charisma, creativity and talent alone when entering the musical world. It actually does take years of "rote practice". It's hardly rote. Most of the time when I actually practice pieces, I try to see how I could make it sound as best I could to myself through expression, rather than just learning the "best" way to do it and memorising that to exclusion. That's what is involved in the skills represented in Runescape. Not one of them actually relies on expression and creativity.

Distributing a computer virus is a very overt way of making it widely known that certain developers have been careless with their code and security measures, and as such have allowed certain exploits to be used to detrimentally affect systems. A lot of virii that have gone around could actually have been far worse, but what the people who code and distribute them really want to do is alert the public as well as developers that the OS or other product in question has glaring security problems. In this way, a virus can actually be better for the product at large. That doesn't really excuse the practice, though, as it is pretty much intended as a defamatory attack on the developers through destroying users' systems. Of course, there are some people who will create and distribute a virus for kicks.

Ooo...sorry, I think I forgot to mention this. Hitler believed that having Aryan heritage was noble and that the Jews, who did not have this heritage, did not deserve to live in his land. Something like that. Oh, all right, so the Aryans were a race of Hindu people or something? :| It's a catch-all term for "white" people, really, but in this context they were a caucasian ethnic group which came south to the Indian subcontinent and drove away the darker-skinned natives as they settled into their new territory. They did this by having better technology and greater organisation, and it was their beliefs that formed the root of the caste system as it stands in India today. Some of this may be shaky as I haven't actually studied Indian history beyond casual reading here and there. Hitler chose the symbol as it represented to him the social order that he believed in: that white people would conquer and subjugate "lesser races" as they sought better lives for themselves.

Why would you try to attach skill levels to an art form which, fundamentally, relies on charisma, creativity and talent rather than rote practice, and has a product whose value is entirely subjective rather than having a well-defined material worth?

This is news from the 18th of August. If they had indeed created such a machine and it wasn't a total flop, we would have heard something more of it by now. It's highly doubtful. Companies don't rewrite the laws of physics. Physicists do.
