  1. I bet they botted their straight A's. Intelligence has no link to morals so that is a pointless thing to bring up. As somebody said a page back, it is desensitising people to cheating. It doesn't suddenly make somebody a law breaker, but if you spend enough time somewhere cheating, lying and scamming, it is logical that will have some effect on your morals elsewhere. Also, prove that botting is inherently wrong and not just wrong because Jagex says it's wrong. Umm what? Prove that murdering is inherently wrong and not just because some dude came up with the idea of the right to life. are you really gonna compare botting to murder really
  2. i no.. but its more anoyingthe fact that he glitched.. if he won fair ok.. but cmon >_< Your fault for risking something you can't deal with losing. ^ Clearly doesn't understand that he didn't lose it, he was SCAMMED out of it. Not his fault, not down to luck, just down to Jagex's inability to do [cabbage] about glitches in the duely within 12 years of them being discovered. He had a 50% chance of losing it anyways - and these glitches are known and should be taken into account whether you like it or not. He was risking it glitch or no glitch. so if some1 glitches and got overloads in against normal stats i have a 50% chance of winning.. really? plus i never seen that glitch before, i only no that somepoeple can x logg You have a 50% chance of losing without glitches. You're already at a high risk. I'm gonna stop now so mods dont B& me for discussing glitches.

  5. I don't take food usually because I have doors to go do. If there's enough downtime for me to sit there and spam a pile i'll do it, but usually I just end up running around on 1-2 salves. also the ranged attack of shadowforger is the only thing that makes him hard. random 300-300-300s suck.
  6. You're right - People like blade (using him as an example and not discussing his ban), give short but very useful replies. It's when people get angry and don't look at his post properly that these rules will end up with the people who are actually offering good advice get unfairly banned (like dyingsilent's post pretty much explained).
  7. wuz like lvl 50 dg when i did dat =( Would have thought you had a spreadsheet on the most efficient setup by then. tut tut tut.
  8. If you think through the initial desire of simply wanting an answer, you can see that to address your example is impossible to do so in a public way. There's no way for any staff member to comment on the situation because it directly pertains to an incident that involved you and punishments dealt to you. That's probably why Tripsis said to talk about such a thing in private, probably like PM'ing the moderator/admin who banned you in the first place or pming an admin directly. But stamping your feet like a petulant child in a crowded store demanding answers just to make mommy and daddy seem like the bad guys to everyone else probably isn't going to help you if you take such an approach when you DO contact a staff member. My question was about how often you need to "troll" to be banned (which has been addressed, you're just bringing this back up again for whatever reason you have). Like I have said, it was an example I used and i'm sure there have been other people banned in the same way as me. I have had my say and been addressed - I do not appreciate being called a child for asking questions about the overly strict rules on "trolling" - I think people who can't handle people being blunt to them are the real children.
  9. WHAT? I can give my summon some leftover food & it lasts forever? Anyone tested the effect of varius type of food? (I am thinking it replenish the timer for the same amount of minutes as it would heal you.. in which case it's "meh" - might be good for boss hunting though a summoning potion + 4 extra pouches would be better than 5 pieces of food?) vengeance group is a bit a missed oppurtinity.. I hoped it would allow 1 person to place vengeance on multiple people at once! Stackable food.
  10. Why I was banned for posting a "troll" post, when my last warning was on September 03 2010? - How occasional do you need to "troll" to become a person that "contributes nothing to to community." - Specific questions about your situation should be discussed in private - not here publicly. I gave my situation for an example and my question was not about me. Address the question rather than my example. "They are against the Runescape and Jagex rules, therefore are against our rules too." Some people on the forums use scripts that an un-informed retired from runescape admin could easily mistake as against jagex's rules, which they aren't - resulting in people being banned for things that are not against runescape's rules. What do you say about having retired admins policing these rules? Whenever there isn't a clearcut black and white situation, such as someone using a script that could be against RS rules but isn't specifically mentioned as such, we always have a group discussion. A retired admin who is not in the loop of RuneScape-related things would know better than to handle such a situation by him/herself. We normally talk it out as a team and/or contact Jagex and ask them directly. Good to know that it's dealt that way. So now, they won't be posting about bug abuse. Win - win. http://forum.tip.it/topic/285258-an-epic-glitch-that-has-sadly-just-been-patched/ I'd like to hear admins thoughts on this. - Good to see that you're not supporting bug abuse in any way. Checking out graphical bugs that do not actually affect your character, other characters or the economy, etc. in any way are not something that Jagex seems to care about and ban people for. As such, we wouldn't consider it the abuse of a bug, as it doesn't actually affect the game or give you any sort of gameplay advantage. So If I wear full primal outside of a dungeon using a graphical bug and post it here's thats okay? It needs to be made more clear what is against the rules and what isn't.
  11. Is it just me, or do these statements seem to conflict each other? I was told from an Admin that some trolling is acceptable when it's appropriate, and now I'm being told from a Mod that no trolling is allowed. Just my opinion, but I think you guys should discuss it between yourselves, before telling the public multiple different things. There is no confliction in there. It comes down to, and always has, the moderators discretion. If a moderator feels it breaks the rules, they will take action. Not every moderator has the exact same take on things, and you cannot have a group of people who do. One might let it go, one might not and take action. To me, all users that are complaining right now are trying to find trolling loop holes. Don't troll and you won't have to worry about the rules, will you? This is not about "finding trolling loop holes" it's about the moderators and admins not fully agreeing on rules and these rules not being enforced the same way. Not to try and appeal my ban or anything - just using myself as an example here: I was banned for what I did not consider a "troll" post, but obviously a moderator did. Directly after I was banned darkdude posted that you could occasionally post a "troll" post - this shouldn't be happening. If darkdude had looked at my post, I wouldn't have been banned. The rules are not being enforced correctly and moderators/admins don't even seem to all agree with them.
  12. It's just you. It's most certainly not just him. This is an issue that needs to be addressed by a mod/admin.
  13. Like I said, it's my personal opinion. That bug in no way benefited the player or harmed another player, so in my personal opinion I see nothing wrong with it. I never said I spoke for the staff as a whole, and I don't now. Surely as a global moderator you should know the rules and be clear on them? I know that our administrators (not all of whom no longer play, by the way) carefully examine the rs rules whenever there is any accusation of rulebreaking and make a decision with integrity. If there is some case where you feel something has been done incorrectly, once again, pm an administrator. Nobody knows 100% that these "autoswitchers" as 99943th calls them are against the rules - jagex have never stated them to be against the rules or legal - it's up to the players to interpret the rules for themselves - an admin who does not play the game and has to interpret the rules for himself is going to make the wrong decision if all he has as guidance is his interpretation of the rules. - This is not a specific person but simply an example where the overly strict rules can cause wrong to people.
  14. That was originally posted several months ago, so you can hardly expect us to take action on it now. Also, it's not abuse at the expense of anyone else, but that's just my personal opinion... As for the rest of your post, we don't deal with individual discipline in public. If you feel you've been wronged in some way, feel free to pm an admin. "it's not abuse at the expense of anyone else, but that's just my personal opinion..." So bug abuse that doesn't affect other people is okay? That wasn't made very clear in the rules. The rest of my post is a discussion on the rules - I'll ask the questions again:
  15. I certainly haven't ever seen that and that has never happened in any of my teams. If someone says they're up for a floor first and need to hop worlds/ tele to daemonheim I always wait for them. I'm not sure if you've just had a bad experience a few times or what - Most teams wait for people and if you have a problem with a keyer not waiting for you, you can pm a leader or talk to the keyer directly. I suggest you ask the keyer to please wait for you next time.
  16. I always ask in the chat and whoever trades me /responds first I dg with.
  17. ^Customer service.
  18. so i'm just someone else ok
