What is your "go to" alcoholic drink?
Most of my favorite beers are hyper-local, which means talking about them online outside of a beer community is basically worthless since no one can actually get them. However, if anyone is ever in the Connecticut area and is super lucky, try Ghandi-Bot by New England Brewing Company. It's my personal favorite beer out of probably around 100 different varieties I've had (most of them being IPA's or Double IPA's). It's really tough to find unless you actually go to the brewery though. I've really let my beeradvocate account go by the wayside, I'll have to try to improve on writing something up whenever I have a new beer. Also as a side-note, if anyone has any good Stout or Porter recommendations, I'd love to hear them. Preferably something that I can get in New England. And that isn't Guinness .

$3 beers at the Pub on Thursdays after 9 is about the best I get. But that's because I don't want to drink shit beers and that's all of the "college bars" have. But I'll probably do Nickle Night at some point (which is a really misleading name because it's actually 25 cents a drink). I guess I usually just drink at home though since I can get a very nice 6 pack for $11 ish. Which is a much better deal.

Just spent $22 on two beers yesterday, some Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. Literally $10 plus tax for each 12 oz bottle. It better be very tasty.

I'm interviewing Astronautalis on air sometime in the future. It feels pretty insane to get to actually have a conversation with someone who's like a real, pretty well known artist. I'm pumped, but a little nervous. Other news: Moved into school, finished my (last) first week of classes, attended the first annual Rum-Couch.

I want to see Chvrches for a while. I've seen a bunch of really great shows this summer though. I didn't end up going to the show on Tuesday that I wanted to (United Nations) since I had no one to go with and I'd have to get two shifts for work covered for me. Plus driving into Boston isn't super pleasant. Still pretty bummed about that though. Anyways, driving 3 hours to see family in half an hour once I'm out of work. I'm gonna be super tired though, I won't get there until 8am.

What are you listening to right now!?
So just in case any of you are cool enough to know of United Nations (the band), they just dropped a new album and it is fantastic. It's called The Next Four Years. If you're into hardcore, black metal, powerviolence, etc (aka harsh music with roots in punk and metal) I would definitely recommend checking it out. It has a vibe sort of like Sunbather by deafheaven, although in all honestly it should really be said that Sunbather sounds like United Nations, since they took inspiration from the band as well as Thursday. So that's super wordy and shit so I'll just post a video, although youtube quality kinda butchers it.
