  1. Skittles. I swear, I don't see how anybody can not like skittles. I've eaten at least 3 pounds of them in the past 2 weeks.
  2. Believe it or not, I'm newer than everybody that joined before me. <----- I'm not even kidding.
  3. Thanks for telling us.. one year later. At least he's not a quitter.
  4. I'm with you. Child abuse builds character.
  5. The regular Muslims legally protested. The extremists Muslims resorted to terroristic actions. From personal experience it seems to me that people really do understand that difference. I know that it seems people tend to lump all Muslims together but I've found that most people really don't stereotype the average Muslim with the extremists.
  6. I vote for the if you don't have school i'll be jealous because I almost never get snow days option.
  7. Unfair :( I met a Swedish girl last weeken and she assuered me that Pyro's rl name translated into English was none other than John Titor!!!!!!!! You can't trust Swedish women. Thats a tad stereotypical dontcha think? You can't trust people who stereotype either.
  8. That's what I thought, isn't it the ancient peace symbol backwards?
  9. I just sleep. Any where at any time. As the old saying goes: Time flies when your unconscious.
  10. I don't find anything really "wrong" with the show, I just think it's boring.
  11. As with every religion, if you go through the holy text you can always pick out specific verses (most likely out of context) that suit your purpose.
  12. Let me just say that I strongly disagree with the burning of the embassies and anyone involved needs to be dealt with. Violence hardly ever solves anything. But, what I was saying is: 1. The original comic was published. 2. The Muslims protested. 3. The other countries started printing the comic to make a point about freedom of speech. I don't agree with 3. What point were they trying to make? Certainly the Muslims were just exercising the same freedom of speech that the other countries were trying to make a point about, weren't they? I believe that the other countries doing what they did was unneeded and they should have known that they would accomplish nothing except angering the Muslims further and to say that the Muslims are the only people that did anything wrong in this situation is simply wrong. I know all of that has probably been said, I just wanted to clarify what my point was.
  13. If the Muslims reaction to the comic is considered ridiculous then the other countries printing that comic just to make a point about free speech is ridiculous. In my humble opinion.
  14. Agreed. Hopefully that was just a very poor attempt at sarcasm.
  15. Actually it's $1.25 extra per pack, over what they cost already. Since I don't live in Canada nor do I have any interest in cigarette prices, as I don't smoke or plan to, I don't know how much they cost now. I read something that they plan on increasing the cost per pack in Canada 7% per year, so that's like $20 a pack by 2017. Some people will be spending $60 per day on cigarettes at that rate. Maybe some people will quit at that. If I read the article correctly that $1.25 is per carton, not pack.
  16. I don't see what's the big deal. Tax hikes happen all the time for all kinds of products.
  17. Correct me if i'm wrong. The Mayans date of 2012 is not a prediction of the end of the world. It is supposedly when the beginning of a new "age" begins. An alignment of the planets that occurs every few thousand years is predicted to happen in 2012 and that is why their calendar stopped with it.
  18. One of three things is possible: 1) The racing game influenced their racing habits. 2) Their racing habits influenced them to buy the racing game. 3) There was no connection. Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe you have information outside that article, but it seems to me that you're jumping to conclusions and assuming the first option is true when it's really anybody's guess which one of the three it was.
  19. I understand that the connection appears to be more connected in this case since it's specifically about racing but I don't really see how this is any different then any other "video game affecting real life" cases.
  20. Is Outlook Express a program that you can uninstall/reinstall like Microsoft Word where you just put in a disc and follow the instructions that come up? I'm getting the impression that it's around that easy; and if it is then that is sad.
  21. I say owned and noob all the time. I usually only say it to people that I know though. Nobody else says it and everybody thinks me and my friends are weird.
  22. I can do the robot. Isn't that disco era-ish?
  23. He might have had a slave in his basement that liked to play ping pong and used the balls as a reward for a job well done. Or it could be that you shouldn't wait to tell people what you want to tell them (like the kid telling his dad what the deal with the balls was) because you might not have time.
  24. The way I see it is in a public business place like that you should be capable of controlling yourself and you should do it. In an informal private affair where it's something like you and somebody in your neighborhood that you don't like, you can do whatever you want. But in a position like that where it's not just you and him and there is other people relying on you to do your job, then I think anything worse than sarcasm is ridiculous. Refusing to serve them, throwing food at them, punching them, etc. Why? Just suck it up, be the bigger man and move on.
